#The thing about the three highest demos is that all three of them could be in charge. Like. They're all extremely powerful #You see this when we're brought back to the war like. You see Stardust absolutely untouchable on the battlefield.... Pure fucking #Speed and power. He's the Sun like........ He's so powerful #And then it turns to Moonshine who's literally taking up half the sky in a repeating lemniscate pattern... His energy when let loose is just #He's so slippery and so fucking powerful too like he'd king of the mental realms and when he's released he manipulates reality in #Accordance with willpower like. He's generally confined by Stardusts word to keep himself in the mental realm but it's literally like.... #His mind radiates from him like Siirka. Siirka's hair is visible though. Moonshines isn't.... Moonshines just got this immense weight #Like UHHHH I keep seeing it in my mind and then I forget what it is but basically..... Its like his mental power buzzes under the skin of #Reality pushing at the surface so hard that that surface starts to bend.... Hes terrifying bc a) Huge. But also b) you can feel reality #Start to become like abstract water around him for miles and miles and miles and miles as his true self. Not the one you see. So much #Bigger than him is brimming at the surface ready to destroy reality like a piece of paper about to be crumpled up or folded into shapes #And Midnight........ She's literally space itself..... Over the other side of the sky she's not even really visible because she's become #Space itself. She's no longer taking a viewable form.... Like you look at her and its like..... God so the modern trio of gods in Siirkaia are supposed to vaguely map onto the alchemical ideas of matter/consciousness/reality and Ive been thinking about how matter/consciousness fight like. Space and consciousness. Space/Midnight can teleport people and tends to be pretty physical, she has two machete type weapons that she uses to obviously rend people apart. Consciousness/Moonshine turns reality into something incomprehensible/blurs the line between the mind and reality like. Just turns it into a psychedelic playground. It's not really grounded in the way of "oh bright colours and then he tears you apart literally" but that's..... The point, it's not supposed to be a grounded fight with normal understandable rules

The one who represents reality tho is Stardust and I don't think about how he Kills bc he avoids it at all cost, bc when he went to seriously fight last time he wanted to be noble but he ended up literally having to melt people as they screamed for him to stop (but if he didn't literally consume them they'd keep being brought back to life to suffer and die as they fought - think undead army but literally alive and not soldiers, forced to fight) and. See. That was in place for ages. I'm only just realising that fucking fits PERFECTLY for his symbolic role

Yeah you can try and divide pain and suffering and death into very rigid categories, people torn apart by vehicles that can't stop in time, falling off cliffs, explosions.... Or being traumatised and otherwise unable to comprehend things, dealing with depression and other illnesses so deep your mind just shuts down.... Like. It's either physical and just how physics works, or it's a long and deep process of suffering..... BUT. fucking. Reality isn't like just that. Reality a matter of giving and taking, eating means you need to kill whether it's plants or animals, and taking what you need from a collective pile of resources takes it away from someone else who needs it.... You just living already takes from other things, and when you need to actually fight back its. Not just a matter of black or white. There's always suffering and always consequences. Reality is about a complex Web of action and emotional experience.... And Stardust's whole thing is that he's completely absorbed in the pain he's brought to other people..... So you add reality being giving and taking with being traumatised by the weight of your actions on other people, and reality equals you taking up too much space, hurting too many people, trying your absolute best to help people and hurting then by doing so, trying to exist and getting on with things and doing your job and. Again. Taking up too much space and hurting people which....... Is exactly stardust's whole existence in a nutshell. BASICALLY point is. Yeah, fuck. he really fits if he's reality gone too introspective and inactive OH. shit. I just realised. The whole Demos race are supposed to be too meek and gentle and submissive. Reality in Siirkaia literally is too introspective and inactive OK LMFAO

I think Stardust is life itself?? In terms of the elemental things. Like he's the flame, the thing that's eternally changing but retains a cohesive looking form like. Ship of theseus type stuff of the whole "if our bodies currently shedding things and remaking it, and if our minds are constantly changing, are we the same person we were ten years ago?" thinking

He's like.... His weapon is the spear for a reason (weapons are barely a thing in Siirkaia but he always has his gold spear when he fights...... He even has it after he's forsaken black and gold and shed his past identity it's that much a part of him).... He's precision and decisions and going from one place to another to do something specific ie..... Living. He's conscious but he also takes up space..... He's the living beings of the world. He fights with Death to bring meaning and free will to the world (literally, that's the war) , and in that way he's Death's furnace, hes the one that heats things up and drives them forward, and Death is the mercy and the forgiveness and the passing on to other things, giving up one thing to move onto another or to your end....... It may be Death that has the aspects of War, Death, and Mercy, BUT stardust/Sol fights for all of them, he knows Death intimately (they're partners/lovers in Siirkaia after the war) and is almost like Death's active aspect to Mercy as his passive aspect except.... Completely different people, he's Death's right hand man, he works to bring war, death, and mercy to the conscious people, to things that are living, bringing the fabric of space and its encoded consciousness along with him........

Also. That whole "we are made of stardust, we're the universe looking at itself" thing which I only realised years after naming him that.........

So yeah it's not that he's God-King because he's the most powerful, he doesn't really rule over Moonshine and Midnight?? They just sort of settle into this fuckin arrangement that's. Look. I really am not a fan of "these characters are UHHHH beyond human comprehension!!!!!!" at all unless it's horror bc it's such. To me..... It's kinda boring at best and such a cop-out at worst (generally the former), so I WILL flesh them out and find a way to describe it in human terms, but like. I recognise there's also a point of redundancy? Like if I try to explain it in human terms it'll look like a boring decision. "oh, they obey Stardust because in alien society they follow rules of what you're born as as opposed to subjective thoughts of what you think about them personally" that kinda works, but also just sounds like they're being silly? It sounds like they missed the obvious, that they didn't realise they could assign each other roles based on their actual beings, or that they are stubborn in their ways, it sounds like hereditary monarchy type shit, when in actuality they know how things are more than the Demos and work in different ways because they see beyond the personalities and into like. How things are beyond that.................... But anyway

Man so I want barren to mindwalk with the three highest demos but I was thinking about Midnight and she's like...... Logically going to be impenetrable, like. She's a deity of space itself she IS existence and therefore is going to comprehend things on a wildly different dimension to the other two I MEAN. Moonshines a deity of consciousness and the mental realm, so it's not like his mind would be in any way comprehendable either, but he can at least create space for you..... Or honestly rip your mind apart by forcing it to hold abstract space and the truth of the higher universe lbr here. But like. Anyway. There was something so funny to me about Stardust and Moonshine casually joking to an inquisitive Barren about how Midnight would be impossible to comprehend like. These two huge deities like "haha no for real she's so beyond comprehension" (not in the sexust fuckin way) about their third member is like...... So funny.
