ADHD Barry is trash, and it shouldn’t be a thing thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Yes, Barry is impatient- restless- and loses his attention extremely easy.

That doesn’t mean that he has this disorder.

Did you know that ADHD IS A LOT MORE THAN THAT?

Did you know that ADHD is a serious thing, that makes one’s life extremely difficult? Did you know that there is nothing QUIRKY/CUTE/ETC. about suffering this?

Did you know that Barry is a child? And that these traits that people use to try and justify this HC are extremely common in kids? You know... Those around his age?

I’ve already stated how much I HATE how mental disorders/diseases are misused in the RPC. And I refuse to put such headcanons in my muses, bc:

a) It is completely irrelevant to my muses (I know in the grand scheme of things, it will be a thing forgotten within the mount of things I have for them anyway). I refuse to use mental illness as some kind of punchline;

b) Does it really matter to you guys to know these details to you?? WIll it influence in the way you guys enjoy my portrayals?? Spoiler alert: It won’t.

In the words of my buddies:

Out of all the characters in the franchise, Barry is the only one who I can’t see having any type of tragic backstory to himself. Sure his father was never around while growing up, but we see how despite not having the guy around- he turned out to be an extremely competent trainer and all on his own!

Especially pokespe’s Pearl who basically mentored both Platina and Dia.
