even if the notion has been there all along, i think it’s funny how even in season 3 (which was a complete disaster to everyone who’d already been on the mike/will train pre-s3) they had almost rom-com-like little moments such as the scene where they’re forced to sit in the back of the car

back then i was one of the first people to lose hope, but in retrospect, even if it didn’t feel like that, they didn’t abandon the idea that will may have a crush on mike and in fact all the little moments in there were painstakingly part of the larger narrative and not just of some throw-away quality
