yeah hi I do this a lot when listening to music but I HAVE ANOTHER POSSIBLE ENTRY FOR QUIN'S VOICECLAIM. who wants to see the potential entries? yes? put now? okay, you got it.
youtube
potential 1: this nerd. song sent by an old old friend and I refound it not long ago.
youtube
potential 2: yes I know, Penny. love her. spectacular voice. want to rub my face all over this song like a fuckin cat. bonus because Johann, the one the song is about, was Quin's crush.
youtube
potential 3: Tom Cardy is just good in general. have yet to hear a song from him that I don't love.
youtube
potential 4: listen. I just....I initially listened to the ten hour loop of this without realizing and I got an hour and a half in before my brain registered that it might be a little weirdly long, how long IS this song anyways. the idea of the announcer/narrator from Battleblock Theater being Quin's voiceclaim? fucking comedy gold.
more potentials: there have been so many more I am too lazy to track down currently just take these four for now. maybe later I'll add more. but. gods fuck.

BattleBlock Theater/Pit People Theory
Want to hear my shit theory about The Behemoth games? No? Too bad, then. Settle down and grab some popcorn.
Ok so yeah we all know the Narrator is Honeyhug, while the Narrator for Pit People is Honeykiss. Let's get that out of the way.
Throughout Battleblock, Honeyhug narrates the game as some sort of macabre yet comedic puppet show plays and dictates what nonsense he's spewing out. This could be Honeyhug telling the story of Hatty and his crew to Honeykiss as a sort of kind gesture, seeing as Honeykiss, at least in Pit People, really loves violence to an almost sadistic degree. And he might have history in the theater, seeing as he's the only presumable survivor of the hat/cat guards judging by the picture we see in the later stages.
Now, how does his death at the end fit? He's singing the "Buckle Your Pants" song and still narrating up until the laser from Hatty's hat fucking fries his head off. But in Pit People, he's declaring his love for his fellow Space Bear. I think there's big time and space shenanigans going on between these events, as time acts differently in space. It could've been years for that laser to hit Honeyhug for all we know. (that or they had little plans for a sequel let's be honest)
So, here's my idea of what happened:
Honeyhug visits the theater, hangs around for a bit until the cat guards get antsy. Honeyhug shows them his favorite finger and nopes the fuck out of there. He probably survives their attack or the hat's soul-sucking effects cuz he's a giant fucking space bear. He goes back to Honeykiss in space and fucks around, narrating random tragedies on planets they find for entertainment. One tragedy leads him to discover Hatty falling victim to the hat and the cat guards, so he's like "oh fuck I gotta show my boyfriend this" and puts up a show for Honeykiss, puppets and all.
At the end, he probably sings the "Buckle Your Pants" song as a closing act, and Honeykiss declares his love for him due to loving the violent show. They go back and forth until Hatty's soul, in complete distress, fires off magic from the bottom of the seafloor, accidentally hitting and killing Honeyhug, and setting off the events of Pit People.

What if..... Battleblock Theater had a Fnf week?
I absolutely love Battleblock Theater (Despite the fact I can't beat it because I fucking suck at games that aren't Borderlands), and hey! The Behemoth got their start on Newgrounds, sooooo it could count! (I also have a idea for Castle Crashers, but I'm still working on it.)
Anywho, sooooo for story... How about Bf and Gf were taking a nice cruise, trying to get away from her parents and FINALLY have a Friday Night to themselves. Buuuut a storm happens and they end up crashing on the island with the theater. (This would be in a alternate world where the theater never got popular, since Fnf likes to make alternate timelines to not mess with the source material).
Anywho soooo yeah they crash on the island (wait is there a name? Can someone tell me if the island ever got a fucking name because I am seriously drawing a blank)
They explore and run into the cat guards and Hatty. Bf being Bf challenges then and... Ok yeah I don't know how tf it would lead up to rap battling but whatever.
Now you might say "Wait Hatty doesn't talk?" You're right. The cats would sing for him while he leans against the speakers.
(I'm so sorry this is so shitty, I don't have my sketchbook and I'm worse at digital, but I left my sketchbook at school QwQ)
Tumblr media
But yeah hope you enjoyed the concept at least.

Are there any games (anything that doesn't require a special console which I know limits it a bit) you'd recommend for someone who is NOT a very experienced gamer? Not a big fan of games based around violence, but not a deal breaker if the game was interesting to me (wouldn't play GTA or one of those army games like Call of Duty). I got Skyrim a couple of years ago because of the Aesthetic but I'm embarrassed to say I got (literally) stuck 5 minutes in.
[AW what kind of stuck, did it like glitch out or something?] anD OH MAN SO. i’m flipping through my steam library to pick out some options that might catch your interest aaand i have a lot of games that might work, and i hope it’s cool if i answer publicly because i’m sure other people will have recs/input of their own :D
disclaimer: in general, a lot of these will inevitably have combat of some kind, but none of them focus on it as, like, the POINT of the game? and none of them are too gory. i’ll point out the ones that have it as a necessary mechanic if you want to stay away from any fighting altogether. tl;dr list of titles that might be worth checking out, longer descriptions underneath:
stardew valley
night in the woods
sunless sea
ori and the blind forest
battleblock theater
civilization vi
stardew valley: very chill, very cute farming simulator that’s way more engaging than it sounds. pixel art graphics and relatively intuitive controls, and the point is pretty much to farm, fish, forage, raise animals, make artisan goods like cheese and wine, and get to know the characters in the town. there’s optional combat with monsters in a few specific areas of the game but it’s not necessary.
night in the woods: okay admittedly i haven’t finished this one all the way through yet because i am easily distracted, but it’s a story-driven platformer with anthropomorphic characters about a girl who drops out of college for Reasons and how she deals with coming back to her relatively backwoods town after dropping out. cute art, pretty basic controls, and mae is snarky as fuck and i love her. as far as i know there’s no combat but like i said i haven’t played all the way through juuust yet.
sunless sea: also very storydriven, and awesome if you like lovecraftian kinds of writing minus the various -isms the cthulhu mythos is rife with, or if you enjoy sea monsters. lots of those. it’s a textbased topdown sailing game focused more on exploration than combat, but you have the option to attack sea monsters and other ships. it is...challenging, though, in that the default mode doesn’t let you save manually: if your“current” captain dies [or you “win”], they’re dead for good, and you can choose something from that captain to pass onto your next captain, but aside from that you basically start the game over with a mostly-new captain and a shuffled map. you can turn that mode off, though. i... really like this one a lot so i’m very biased :P
ori and the blind forest: probably the most combat-focused rec on this list, but the combat system is very fun and it is at its heart a platforming puzzle game, and very story driven. it’s also gorgeous, like it looks like someone storyboarded it with very in-depth concept art and the devs were like “awesome so let’s just animate that, no changes.” it’s also GREAT if you need a cathartic cry or three, but ultimately it has a positive ending. seriously, i've logged 18 hours in this game so far and i spent probably six of them BAWLING MY EYES OUT because it is a VERY emotional game.
battleblock theater: you and a ship full of your best friends get shipwrecked on an island of giant cats who imprison all your friends and make you perform feats of daring onstage to earn gems to buy your friends’ freedom. THAT’S IT. THAT’S THE PLOT. also a puzzle platformer with pretty sparse narrative, especially compared to the other games on this list, but the plotline that is there is really funny and it’s good if you enjoy a challenge. if you’re the type to get perfectionist urges [which. i am.] bbt will definitely give you opportunities to scratch that itch.
civilization vi: aaand civ vi is kind of my ringer rec, because... it is a lot more complicated than pretty much everything on this list, and probably also the priciest. i rec it anyway because it’s a very good game and i enjoy it a lot, and i don’t think it’s too complicated to pick up after a few rounds, but i can acknowledge my biases and i might be wrong. as for what it is, civ’s essentially what it says on the tin: a civilization simulator where you grow your chosen civilization and try to achieve a win condition before any of the rival civilizations in your game do the same thing. win conditions can be achieved through military conquest, and rival civs’ AI won’t always have good reasons for declaring war on you, so combat can happen whether you want it to or not, but there are also cultural, religious, and scientific victories, as well as a score victory if no civs get any of the other victories by the time the game ends. the real draw of it for me is you can choose to be some REALLY interesting civilizations: the usual suspects are there, my first win was with teddy roosevelt and the american civilization, but my second and third were with tomyris/scythia and gilgamesh/sumeria. like i said, it’s a pretty complicated game, but i really enjoy it.
so yeah, those are probably some good games to start with? if you want links to game play footage of any of them before trying them out let me know and i can hunt down some let’s plays or something :D

1... 2... 3... fuck it 20!!
Another anon also asked for some of these asks, so here we go! I’m sorry for being so late on this, but it’s been a while since I’ve had free time and I’m in front of a computer.
1: a video game you’d recommend: There are so many good ones, here’s a few of my favorites: Firewatch, Overwatch, Undertale, OneShot, Battleblock Theater, Shovel Knight, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Bastion, Transistor, Portal (1 & 2), The Turing Test, The Talos Principle, Mirror’s Edge, and One Finger Death Punch.
2: favorite pair of socks: To be honest, any pair of fuzzy socks I own are my favorites. I’m not sure why exactly they’re only marketed to women/girls; I don’t want cold feet just because I’m a dude.
3: an odd thing from your room: I don’t have too many odd things in my dorm room, but in my room at home I possess a monopoly set from the late 1940s/early 1950s that’s still in the plastic wrap.
4: if you made a gang what would the design/text on the back of our matching jackets be: I have no idea, something gay??? I like phoenixes so probably something to with that and just,,, pride flags everywhere (anyone who can draw and knows what I’m talking about slide those concept designs into that submission box)
5:if you were in a fantasy world what would be your 'trademark' item/feature: I honestly can’t decide between really powerful magic and the ability to communicate and work with magical creatures (like Newt Scamander)/
6: if you were an npc what quest would you give (and what reward): Find me a boyfriend and I will give you my eternal gratitude and some dark chocolate. (seriously though, just get me a couple records from the record store and I’ll give you the food anyway)
7:dream Lego set: I remember really wanting the huge Death Star set as a kid. Never got it. I’m going to pretend that it’s the source of all of my adult problems.
8: do I have any scout badges: HELL YEAH EAGLE SCOUT BOYYYYYYYYYYY seriously though I think I have somewhere in the neighborhood of ~24-27 badges? I can’t remember them all but I’m an Eagle Scout so I had at least 21
9: a book you’d recommend: Three major recommendations, and all of them are sci-fi set in the future: Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown, Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey, and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. All are excellent and I love them dearly.
10: favourite 'made-up' creature from any universe: I really fuckin love phoenixes. don’t know what else to say.
11: what instrument(s) do you play/any you wish you could play: I sing, and play a little piano and drums; I wish I could do all of them at a higher level than singing in the shower and playing small riffs on the piano, but I’m busy and that’s life sometimes
12: a character you wish you could pull off the perfect cosplay for: SO MANY geez probably Corrin (M) from Fire Emblem or maybe Link from LoZ? Also someone from Legend of Korra or Fullmetal Alchemist???? So many characters??? Corrin would be my first choice though
13:favourite Terrible™ movie: The Room. Hands down. “YOU’RE TEARING ME APART LISA!”
14: do you speak any other languages: besides Java and memes, sadly only a little bit of spanish
15: how many time telling devices are in the room with you: many. I am surrounded by computers.
16: a random useless fact you know: I know all of the names of the players for the Chicago Blackhawks by number, does that count?
17: create a tag urself meme description of yourself:
- hopeless romantic
- gay as fuck
- speaks in memes to mask depression
18: what is your weapon of choice: knowledge. just kidding, Corrin’s Yato would be pretty lit
19: do you like waffles: not really, and that’s a vintage meme. step up your game, writer of this ask meme
And that’s a wrap!
