The non-capital execution of James Coburn. No, not that one.
Executing Americans for crimes other than murder was once standard practice. Robbery, armed robbery, house-breaking, burglary and rape could all earn a death sentence in a number of States. Under Federal law, bank robbery was once a capital crime even without a shot being fired. The death penalty for rape, particularly in the South, was undoubtedly used along racial lines with far more…

MASSIVE ATTACK Blue Lines. Rare original 1991 UK vinyl 9-track debut LP - one of the great British classics of the nineties, kicking off with the Billy Cobham-sampled 'Safe From Harm' and including everything in between such as an inspired cover of William DeVaughn's 'Be Thankful For What You've Got', the unstoppable hit 'Unfinished Sympathy' and the majestic closer 'Hymn Of The Big Wheel' with Horace Andy, all performed in their own natural tongue that put Bristol on the map. The picture sleeve, with album credits inner, remains sealed inside the cardboard envelope outer sleeve - all in spectacular near mint condition. To the over 20 million veterans who proudly put on the uniform and served in the United States armed forces, all of #NEMCC says thank you. Veterans have been a key cog in the success of Northeast. From constructing some of the first buildings on campus to helping populate some of our Building Trades classes after their service to our nation, veterans have left an ever-lasting mark on Northeast and the surrounding community. We were proud to dedicate our latest tribute to the veterans at the end of Cunningham Boulevard earlier this year and people from around the Magnolia State have come to it to pay their respects to the men and women who served and those who are currently serving. Will and Webb DeVaughn stopped by the veterans monument after the Booneville Veterans’ Day Parade on Saturday, November 10. Will (left) and Webb (right) were paying homage to their great-grandfathers who served - Paul Miller (World War II - US Marine Corp), Tommy Whitley (World War II - US Navy) and Horace DeVaughn (Korea - US Army). Will and Webb are the sons of Derek and Misty DeVaughn - two members of the NEMCC family. Once again, to all who are currently serving and those whose tours of duty have completed, we say thank you for your service to our great nation. #GrowNortheast #VeteransDay #ProudlyServed #Army #Navy #Marines #AirForce #CoastGuard #NationalGuard #ThankYou #MilitaryService #TheGreatestGeneration (at Northeast Mississippi Community College) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqCujv0FJgu/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=d7i26li65t0v
