Xarmir: Professional Disaster. Accidentally taught these ways to his nieces. Big bro is not impressed.

I got very excited when I saw @bareee opening up @tav-dex and had to jump head first in :B

I have.. arguably collected a lot of Tavs that are all connected to one another, but Xarmir is the main doofus <:

Xarmir's build is very story focused rather than optimal for combat. Despite the loss of his parents in childhood, he grew up a happy kid being raised by his older brother. Wild Magic runs in the family (his brother being a Wild Path Barbarian), so already from smol he played a lot with magic and had random side effects to it. Despite a sorcerer. his heart was with music and he trained to be a Bard.

Time went on, and then shit happened. Taken away from life and family, he was forced to become an Assassin for the Zhentarim and first decades later managed to escape. During this time the magic was ""beaten out of him"" because the people he worked under did not like most of the random side effects that came with them.

After escape and reuniting with his family, they have tried to get him back in touch with his magic, though the most magic he uses is to release the magic that builds up inside him before an unwanted magic release, and only happens in the confine of safety at home. No doing it outside oh no no...

An abduction, a tadpole, and getting together with a bunch of weirdos to traverse a lot of shit later, well... they may just teach him to get comfortable with his magic again.

Other random facts :D

He does not have heterochromia, he was just stupid enough to let Volo poke his eye out.

He has a complicated relationship with taking care of himself. He'll recognize others want to do him harm just for funs and won't let it happen, but the amount of shit he submits himself to for the sake of "to protect the others" or "taking one for the team" hooh boi

If he sees a cat he must pet the cat

Preferred pastime activities is reading, whittling, and playing his lute... when he isn't out exploring every inch of the area surrounding their camp

Has known Halsin and the rest of the Druids at Emerald Grove for decades. Nettie is concerned for him 24/7, and it's normal he butts heads with Kagha.

While everyone helped out in getting Xarmir to be comfortable with his magic again, especially Gale helped him a lot

Sleeps very little, because almost constantly having the feeling of "having to sleep with one eye open". Somehow still vibrates with energy. Is he really energetic? Or is he permanently overtired? No one knows.

Would much rather crash in someone else's tent than sleep alone in his own.

Has two nieces and a nephew, all three adults. Two have been taught in the ways of chaos, one is just existentially exhausted.

Exaggeratedly perceptive of his surroundings. Uses it to bully Astarion, when he most often notices a trap long before he does.... it's okay, Astarion bullies him in return because he's far better at lock-picking and disarming traps than Xarmir is, despite his attempt.

The rest of the party has contemplated needing to separate Xarmir and Astarion, or at least keep them on leashes, because they are a lot more prone to getting into stupid shit together.
