omg omg okay soap i saw ur post with the painting with "manberg honq" as the caption and idk if it was meant as a joke or an actual thing BUT IM GONNA SCREAM ABT IT ANYWAYS bc okay basically in olden french literature there was this concept called "courtly love" (which is what the painting is depicting) and it basically has like four main concepts 1) to pursue love simply because you are in love, 2) to exalt your beloved (sort of like princess brides "as you wish"), 3) love itself makes you a better person, and the most important part, 4) love is a desire never to be fulfilled, where, even though you can't necessarily "win", usually bc one person is engaged or married or whatever, you still keep up that love

AND COURTLY LOVE WITH HONQ IS SOOOO OUGH BC IT FITS SO WELL BC CQ WAS MARRIED AT THE TIME, HE WAS STUCK WITH CSCHLATT, AND BOTH PARTIES LOVED EACH OTHER BUT COULD NEVER BE TOGETHER BUT STILL LOVED ANYWAYS!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA
