regressor!will had a bad day at work and gets ready for bed with a doting carer!hannibal looking after him 💛

🐻 this is my first time posting any kind of fanfic online for years i am a bit nervous... i hope i did an okay job! pls enjoy this short hannibal piece 🫶

will sat at the edge of his bed, swinging his legs. it was a little past his normal bedtime, since hannibal had let him stay up to watch an extra episode of bluey before bed and drink a bottle of warm milk.

the older man was being more lenient with will's rules today, since the regressor had a particularly bad day at work and returned home in the evening completely nonverbal.

currently, a few hours later and still nonverbal, will was content and sitting on the bed, waiting for hannibal to finish choosing tonight's pyjamas from the walk-in wardrobe within their shared bedroom.

even regressed, will didnt care too much for what he wore, and usually entrusted his papa with making such decisions. although hannibal sometimes made him wear fancy clothes, such as silky button up shirts with expensive trims, the older man often respected will's preference for basic clothes, especially whilst he was small.

a minute later, as will was starting to doze off where he sat, head nodding against his shoulder, hannibal reappeared in the bedroom, a beige onesie decorated with sleepy brown sausage dogs resting easily on his arm.

"here we are, my little fawn" the caregiver crouched in front of his baby, holding the chosen pyjamas up in front of him. his voice was soft, gentle and warm, like slowly dripping honey. will melted.

"what do you think of this?"

the regressor simply chewed on his jumper sleeve and nodded an affirmative, but this was enough for his papa, who gave him a fond smile, before the two stood up and will began to get undressed.

once changed into the dog onesie- hannibal helped him after the little one tried to fit his head through a sleeve- it was time for will to settle properly into bed.

he'd brushed his teeth and went to the toilet ten minutes prior, and winston was already waiting for him, curled up at the end of the bed and blissfully snoozing.

"bed time, mylimasis" hannibal pulled back a corner of the plush duvet so that will could climb fully into bed, before he moved onto plumping up the pillows to his baby's liking.

will obediently crawled under the covers and laid back on the now sufficiently plump pillows. he raised his fingers to his mouth before moving them again, sleepily signing a 'thank you'.

"you are welcome, little lamb" hannibal murmured, happy with will's good manners. he moved to the bedside table, switching off the lamp.

across the room by the bedroom door, a plug in night light in the shape of a crescent moon glowed faintly in the darkness.

"goodnight, sweet will"

hannibal was met with a tiny snore in response.

Tbh if you couldn't tell from the lack of activity, my interest in Sailor Moon in general has kinda been put on the back burner atm? I sort of had a falling out with the only friend I would hype about it with - nothing horrible just kinda a we drifted apart and things finally hit a dead end situation - and it's still really hitting me and my interest in the series hard.

But this series is still definitely a part of me. I don't think a day will ever come where it won't be. It's always gotten me through my toughest days, in a way it's what kickstarted my career, and like many it continues to inspire me to this day. My love for it will never die in it's entirety, I just need some time to adjust. 💗🌙✨

and it's about a field of sunflowers (inspired by van gogh's painting) where there is a tiny flower that feels different. eventually, the little flower realizes it can find comfort/solace in the moon just like the rest of its siblings find comfort/solace in the sun; it's a "moonflower", rather than a sunflower.

Hi to my dearest and beloved 🐁 anonie 🥺💛 first of all to tell you that I’m doing so great today, see like I told you there’s really nothing about me to worry about cause I bounce back pretty fast lol.. I’m not only saying to make you feel better love but indeed I’m really so happy today thankfully 💓💓

♡…So yesterday, I received this very special gift bouquet from a relative..I was so in tears bc she packaged it exactly like I like using vintage scrap paper and used a white dried rose and wrote a letter too in old paper. 🥹 I felt so special and you know what the gift was? A polaroid camera 😭🤍 white roses symbolise innocence, purity and loyalty that’s why she used that and she gave me a camera so I could capture my memories and adorn them. This entire gesture made me feel so so happy. I already bought a polaroid camera tho, now I have 2 haha.

♡… so then later I felt even more happy because I was journaling and I wrote poetry, it made me feel so much better cause indeed I feel so much in my element when I do these activities! Idk if you found my personal Pinterest link I left in previous ask, but I really love journaling and writing a lot so I felt so renewed and so relaxed.

♡… I was at my nana’s place these few days and believe me I felt so healed, my nana’s place is in the countryside I had so much fun plucking vegetables from the fields and also STARGAZING AND WATCHING THE MOON! 🌙✨ it felt so magical. ♡…I bought some stationaries today and I also feel excited bc of it lol. she had agonized over what to get yuseong for his birthday for ages because there were so many things that she could get him, but she also wanted to make sure she didn’t get him anything that gave the wrong impression. after all, what do you get for someone who you’re not technically dating?

after poring through many, many blog posts and still not finding anything helpful, she decides to give up and just go with her gut. in the end, she decides on a heat-activated mug that showed the moon when a hot liquid was added, a nice hoodie and a beanie, since she knew he wore them often. she packages it all together in a box and adds a cute card and manages to get aiden to pass the box to yuseong on his birthday. and as a joke, she adds a photocard of yura. she’s not sure how subtle she was but she hopes she wasn’t too suspicious when she said it was just something she had to pass along.

the last thing he had expected when he had gone over to aiden’s to get the little prince figure that the other had gotten him for his birthday was to have been handed another box and be told that somin had asked it to be passed to him. despite his inward surprise, outwardly, he just smiles at aiden, because even his friend isn’t privy to the complicated relationship (or non-relationship, since they aren’t… anything, yet) that is yuseong and somin — yet. not that aiden seems to have the time for more relationship questions, as he thinks the younger has enough problems of his own. 

so instead of saying anything to aiden, he just thanks the other before taking the box and his new little prince figurine back to the apartment that serves as a dorm, putting it carefully on the nightstand by his bed. maybe when he finally gets some kind of job offer and is actively making money, he’ll choose to have his own apartment off-site, too, like most of the other actors and models. for now, though, this is fine — he doesn’t have a roommate yet, anyways. 

the front of the card makes him laugh to himself, shaking his head and he feels the bubble of fondness inside him grow even more, his expression softening more and more as he pulls out the different items. when he’d gotten her a present, he’d hardly expected her to also give him one back, although it does give him hope that maybe — maybe, even if now isn’t the right timing, there’s still hope for them. the hoodie and the beanie he’s sure are going to get a lot of use, and the mug will certainly become his staple inside the dorm. and he will think of her when he uses them, a thought that will probably make him happy. but it’s the photocard of yura that makes him laugh, half in disbelief that she’d included his sister’s photocard but also half because it’s no secret how much he adores his sister. it should be expected of somin to play on that.
