Genesis first read the epic, LOVELESS, as a child. Growing up and throughout his life he dedicated much time to studying it obsessively, pondering the work to try decipher its meaning. After the accident that triggers his degradation and when all else fails, Genesis again turns again back to LOVELESS. Interpreting it in a literal sense, he hopes that re-enacting the story is the key to curing him.

Prologue

Crossover with Final Fantasy XV;

Experimented on as an infant by the Empire, they trialed a new method of fusing Man and Daemon in order to harness the wielding of magic. The results were inconclusive however as Genesis seemed relatively normal. Thereafter Genesis was raised in Zoldara Henge, Tenebrae under Imperial occupation by a noble family distantly connected to the Fleuret line.

He would become part of the military, rising quickly to Brigadier General when his unnatural abilities became apparent. But with the advancing of the Star scourge, when an accident caused his dormant mutation to progress even further, proclaimed a monster by many he struggled to reconcile what he became as it took hold. In discovering his true origins Genesis turns on Niflheim, however he does not side with Lucis.

An imperfect creation, when a job goes awry Genesis discovers that he along with his close friends are the products of experimentation done to create artificial demons to serve in Uroboro’s private military. Alternative Timeline to Crisis Core, Good Route;

When Genesis finds out what happens to him, instead of going it alone, he confides in Angeal first and soon thereafter the trio of firsts work to discover the truth. Together they would set about ending Shin-Ra and the company’s influence over the Planet. Genesis’s degradation in this verse rather than being cured through regained honor will be cured through the process of healing the planet instead.

The physicians had no answer for him and Hollander was missing. Oblivious to the truth behind his degradation, Genesis’s loyalty remains with ShinRa. He continues to serve as a First Class SOLDIER despite his unexplained pains to the conclusion of ShinRa’s war with Wutai. All that remains now is the rounding up what remains of their allies; Avalanche.

Spiteful, on finding out about the experiments that lead to the misleading circumstances of his youth and later degradation, Genesis decides that in his campaign against Shinra, whatever the consequences that there may be, so be it. Betrayed by his family, discarded by his work, and abandoned by his friends, Genesis takes JENOVA from Nibelheim and forces Professor Hollander to continue on Project G in hopes that perhaps completing his fragmented genetic structure would buy him the time he needs for his revenge.

Arrogant, prideful and tenacious, while Genesis may rub some the wrong way at first he often wins people over with his strong charisma. He is known to be a flirt, but often reserves his true feelings for those close to him. Craving attention, he becomes jealous easily when someone else claims the spotlight. While he aspires to be a great hero, wishing to surpass even Sephiroth, his ambitions are primarily for his own glory as opposed to selflessness.

Lesser known is is his fragile side, although the one most acquainted with it would be his best friend since childhood, Angeal. Genesis was aware he was adopted as a child, and lingering abandonment issues pushed him to prove his worth to himself with high performance. Be it in innovative ideas, the arts or his combat finesse as SOLDIER First Class, anxiety drove him to high acclaim. However this also makes him extremely volatile. He is highly prone to spite when he feels betrayed, and will stoop to extremes if he deems someone has wronged him.

Genesis takes pride in his personal styling, image and branding, and quite likes the shape he cuts.

Using his privileges as a First Class SOLDIER to use personal equipment, the trademark of his look is his signature long red leather coat with slim silver cuffs and black shoulder pauldrons affixed directly to it by silver rivets through the material.

Beneath that he wears a plain long-sleeved black skivvy. He wears the straps of the leather harness crisscrossed over his front (much like Sephiroth) connected to the SOLDIER belt bearing the company’s branding.

His black pants, silken, are held additionally by two standard belts, but are an otherwise loose garment for ease of movement, tucking into his knee length boots, secured around his calves with a couple buckles straps. His boots give him some rise in height, especially considering the heel.

He wears red leather gloves and is equipped with his own personal sword, Rapier. While the grip and ornate pummel with gem settings match the style of its namesake, the blood-red blade closer resembles a long-sword, dual edged.

Memes: -I will try to respond to memes / asks ! Mutuals, Non-Mutuals, Anons all welcome. -Please don’t take it personally if I don’t answer your ask, sometimes things just don’t click. -Starter-memes, unless I pm you and discuss otherwise, generally these are for smaller-format threads. Just to balance out my lengths of things and make it easier for me to get something back to you.

Reply lengths: -I’m occasionally prone to writing larger Multi-Para starters. It’s just my nature. I don’t expect you to match it. Please don’t be intimidated. (But also, typically my average reply length tapers off after the starter for a more reaction-based format. -Multi-Para style is my main tendency writing with an average of 3-4 para replies. Shorter semi-para may occur at times, particularly in dash commentary or shitpost threads.

Reply Frequency: -Sometimes I’m actively lurking, sometimes I’m not. My levels of muse, and muse for specific threads will vary day to day. I reckon I consider myself medium-activity at present. -When my threads start crowding I queue posts to help stagger replies. -Neither length nor reply-speed is an indicator of my interest level in a thread. Some threads are intended to be larger formal threads while others are shorter that I want to remain light for enjoyment. A varied thread diet is best. -Please do not compare my threads against each other. I plan my replies around how I know I’ll best be able to manage my schedule, as well as meshing in with my various RP partners schedules. Occasionally this means one person may receive a burst of replies in a short space of time. This is usually because we only have a narrow window to mutually be active as they may only be able to reply every few days. It doesn’t mean I’m ignoring others. I’ll get to you, just chill. Things are fine. Bother me about this? You will be likely dropped. -That said, if it’s been a fair few days, you are welcome to check with me if I got your reply on a thread! I’m aware Tumblr sometimes eats replies and notifications. Likely it’s sitting in my drafts to write soon. But please don’t demand constant responses. I run multiple blogs, sometimes am in the mood for different muses, and have things I do outside of Tumblr as well of course.

Threads: -If life is getting fairly busy, I can’t promise replying to random starters/tags, so please message me if you want to start something. :3 -I will post Starter/Plotting/Ship calls etc occasionally, so please hmu on those if you see them. -My ‘Open Starters’ are open to mutuals. -If we’re not mutuals and you’re looking to get my interest, you’re always welcome to send something to my inbox and I might answer it. My rules used to be so short, but unfortunately certain encounters, and trying to avoid confrontations has led to it growing into a monstrosity, sorry. If you do anything in breach of them, I’ll bring it up with you. If a reasonable solution cannot be reached, I have no qualms blocking people.
