Genis-Vell as Captain Marvel

Fandom: Marvel Comics Series: Legacy, Classic Costume, Cosmic Awareness, Kree Soldier, Hero Again, Photon.

Genis-Vell, the son of the late hero Mar-vell, reclaims his father's legacy by taking the title of Captain Marvel.

This is the costume and looks Genis acquired after bonding with Rick Jones and gaining access to his cosmic awareness powers. It debuted in the 1998 twelve-parts mini Avengers Forever and lasted until Captain Marvel (2002).

My goal is to make also a manip for his Mad God times and him as Photon. Likely landing on these screens in 2032. I have made a variant version, featuring his silver/blue costume as seen in his latest tenure of his solo title in 2002. I'll post it soon.

Completely revamped and posted in celebration to Genis's return to the Marvel Universe with his own mini-series. I know, he returned (in his first incarnation as Legacy) in Captain Marvel's Last of Marvels arch, but he was a little more than a background character in there and merely said two words so it doesn't count. Can't wait to see what Peter David does with the b-character he took and elevated to one of the most iconic between late 90s and early 2000s.

Stamps say the PSD file was created in July 2013 but I'm not completely sure the date wasn't falsified by the copying of all my manips folder from the old desktop (and I don't want to turn that PC on to check). Let's just say the manip was started at least in 2013 and, as far as I can tell, it was finished not too many days after. It's been kept on hold for literally years because I didn't like how it had turned out. I've been meaning to resume it, but never knew exactly how to fix it. Until now. Still not completely satisfied, but I fear this is the top I can reach so let's call it a day. It's drastically improved from the old version anyway.

Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip) Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah *insert hysterical laugh* I still don't know how to render realistic spandex fabric texture, but at least know I know how to make the colored parts looks a bit like fabric.
