Fox News employees are allowed to use bathrooms that align with their gender identity, rather than their biological sex, and permitted to dress in alignment with their preferred gender. They must also be addressed by their preferred name and pronouns in the workplace.
These are just a few of the policies outlined in the company handbook, dated January 2021, a copy of which was shared with The Daily Signal. Fox also offers to help employees come up with a “Workplace Transition Plan” to ease their gender transition at work.
The revelations comes amid conservative consternation at Fox Digital’s use of activist language like “gender affirming care” in stories on its website, as well as the site’s consistent use of female pronouns for biological males like TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney and swimmer Lia Thomas (formerly known as Will Thomas).
Fox also drew strong backlash for a June 2022 on-air segment praising a child’s gender transition as an “inspiration to others.” That segment briefly depicted California state Sen. Scott Weiner, a far-left Democrat who led the move to soften sex offender registry requirements for sodomy with minors, and highlighted the activist claim that a child might commit suicide if he or she is not permitted to transition.
The Daily Signal talked to current and former Fox employees who requested anonymity to speak candidly about the company.
“They want you to think it’s this place that supports traditionally conservative values,” a former producer for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” told The Daily Signal. “But in reality, they’re pushing this nonsense behind the scenes.”
Carlson’s show was canceled April 24, days after he delivered a viral speech at The Heritage Foundation’s 50th anniversary gala. Fox News Media has not given a reason, simply stating that the two parties “agreed to part ways.”
A source who still works at Fox News told The Daily Signal that after Carlson’s show was canceled in April, producers for the new 8 p.m. “Fox News Tonight” program were told not to bash Mulvaney. That directive came from high-level executives, the source said.
So, that's bad, and fuck Fox News and you if you're still supporting them, but I want to highlight another part of the article below:
Fox’s policies appear to be aligned with the legal requirements in New York City, where the company is headquartered, as well as California, where a large number of its employees work.
The New York City Human Rights Law requires employers to use the name, pronouns, and title with which a person identifies, regardless of their biological sex. It is a violation of the NYCHRL to intentionally or repeatedly refuse to use a person’s preferred name, pronouns, or title.
Additionally, the New York City law requires that people “be permitted to use single gender facilities, such as restrooms or locker rooms…that most closely align with their gender, regardless of their gender expression, sex assigned at birth, anatomy, medical history, or the sex or gender indicated on their identification.”
If a biological woman objects to sharing a bathroom with a trans-identifying man, her objection will not be considered a “lawful reason to deny access” to the trans-identifying individual: “In those circumstances, a covered entity may offer alternatives for the individual expressing discomfort, by, for example, providing a single-occupancy restroom to change in.”
This is not meant to excuse Fox, again, fuck them, but this is a prime example of why conservatives can't place themselves under the umbrella of left wing spaces. I know we all hate Crowder now because being an asshole to his wife apparently invalidates everything good he's ever done or said (and because someone is going to say it, no, I don't support how he treated his wife in that video) but this kind of thing is exactly what he was talking about during his StopBigCon videos. And he was right. And so is everyone else who's been saying the same things over the years.
You can't fight for conservative values while placing yourself under woke coastal laws. You can't fight the left while living in their cities and paying their taxes and patronizing their businesses. A corporation like Fox News never should have had their headquarters in New York City. They should have been in Memphis or Boise. Hell, almost anywhere would have been better than NYC or California. It's so, so important to create our own spaces and make sure we operate under our own rules. There is no reason why any of us should ever willingly make ourselves subject to woke left wing rules if we can avoid it. And if we can't avoid it, it's our responsibility to make a place where we can. Not to close the gates after us and to make an echo chamber. But to build a base where we can attack the left and their institutions where we don't have to compromise ourselves by following their rules while we're telling everyone else how evil those rules are.

Jacob Chansley, an infamous Capitol riot defendant known as the "QAnon Shaman," has been released from federal prison months early and moved to a halfway house in Arizona, officials and his attorney confirmed on Thursday.
A former prosecutor says it's normal for federal sentences to be cut short.
Chansley, 35, was sentenced to 41 months in prison in November 2021 after pleading guilty to one count of obstruction of an official proceeding for his involvement with the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol.
But he was transferred on Tuesday from Arizona's Federal Correctional Institution Safford to "community confinement" overseen by the Federal Bureau of Prisons' Phoenix Residential Reentry Management Office, a prisons spokesperson told Insider on Thursday.
He had served 27 months of his 41-month sentence.
Chansley's projected release date from any kind of federal custody is May 25, the Bureau of Prisons spokesperson said.
"For safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including transfers or release plans, nor do we specify an individual's specific location while in community confinement," the spokesperson added.
Chansley's attorney during the trial, Albert Watkins, applauded his former client's release, saying in a statement to Insider: "It is appropriate this gentle and intelligent young man be permitted to move forward with the next stage of what undoubtedly will be a law-abiding and enriching life."
Watkins wrote that he attributes the early release of Chansley — who walked the Capitol building wearing a horned headdress and paint — "to be a function of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons evaluating Mr. Chansley's eligibility for release based on the plea agreement, the sentence imposed, the model behavior of Mr. Chansley while confined, the programs he completed and  a host of factors routinely taken into consideration by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons."
Former New York prosecutor Mark Bederow told Insider that it is "common" for federal inmates to get their sentences lessened under the First Step Act, which was passed in 2018.
"It's relatively common for an eligible offender to have a federal sentence moderately reduced before an offender completes the full term of a prison sentence," said Bederow, a criminal defense attorney.
Conservative pundits and personalities rallied around Chansley. Fox News' Tucker Carlson devoted a section of his show to video footage of the January 6 insurrection, saying it showed that the rioters, on the whole, were peaceful and using it as evidence that Chansley should be released. Twitter and Telsa CEO Elon Musk also called for Chansley to be freed.
The Department of Justice said in a court filing that Carlson's program had taken the video — provided by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy — out of context.
Justin Wells, the senior executive producer of "Tucker Carlson Tonight," stood by the segment. "Our team's review of available surveillance footage of Mr. Chansley is consistent with our reporting," Wells said in a statement.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has given Fox News' Tucker Carlson exclusive access to 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage from the Jan. 6 riot, McCarthy sources tell me.
• Carlson TV producers were on Capitol Hill last week to begin digging through the trove, which includes multiple camera angles from all over Capitol grounds. Excerpts will begin airing in the coming weeks.
Why It Matters: Carlson has repeatedly questioned official accounts of 1/6, downplaying the insurrection as "vandalism."
• Now his shows — "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Fox News, and "Tucker Carlson Today" and "Tucker Carlson Originals" on the streaming service Fox Nation — have a massive trove of raw material.
Carlson told me: "[T]here was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret."
• "If there was ever a question that's in the public's interest to know, it's what actually happened on January 6. By definition, this video will reveal it. It's impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that."
Reality Check: The Jan. 6 committee played numerous excerpts of the footage at last year's captivating hearings. (See the committee's archive.)
Between The Lines: The process with Carlson started in early February, according to a communication between the show and a McCarthy representative that I was shown.
• The archive was previously reported to be 14,000 hours. I'm told it's now much more.
Flashback: McCarthy told reporters in Statuary Hall last month that he thinks "the American public should actually see all [that] happened instead of a report that's written [on] a political basis." (Video, beginning 10:50)
• Pushing for the release of the footage, Carlson argued on his show last month that Washington has "a regime of secrecy and deceit."
Carlson last year called the attack an "outbreak of mob violence, a forgettably minor outbreak by recent standards."

One of the main problems with the U.S. government is that there's no way to know exactly what it's doing because you're not allowed to know. More than a billion federal documents (a billion!) have been declared classified and that means they're off limits to you and all other ordinary American citizens who don't work for the government. You're not allowed to see them, despite the fact they belong to you. Now, no matter what you may have heard, the point of the system is not to protect the country from foreign adversaries.
Under the Biden administration, we don't even bother to do that anymore. No, the point of the system is to take power from the voters and the officials they elect and hand that power to the permanent bureaucracy in Washington. It's infuriating and over time it is dangerous. But for once, we can report some meaningful pushback against this regime of secrecy and deceit. Kevin McCarthy of California became speaker of the House last week, last Friday, and in one of his first big policy changes, he is pledging to let Americans see "all that happened" at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 and that means finally releasing the roughly 14,000 hours of surveillance footage from that day that as of tonight remain hidden. Watch this.
HOUSE SPEAKER KEVIN MCCARTHY: Yeah, I think the public should see what has happened on that. I've watched what Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized it, where for the first time in the history as a speaker, not allowing the minority to appoint to a committee, to pick and choose. We watched the politicization of this. I think the American public should actually see all what happened instead of a report that's written for a political basis and I think the answer. We're looking to that I want to be very thoughtful about it, but yes, I'm engaged to do that.
Well, yeah. After two full years, after a highly publicized and highly politicized congressional committee, after endless grandstanding in the media, after unprecedented political crackdowns, after nearly 1,000 arrests, after all of that, Americans, yes, they do, have a right to know what actually happened on January 6. That's what Kevin McCarthy said.
Who could argue otherwise? What's the counter argument? Well, there is one and Democrats have been making it in court and that's why the footage from that day is still hidden.
Tumblr media
Evil thrives in secrecy. That used to be obvious to all Americans. We have a right to know and moreover, transparency is the only solution......

I don’t know what Fox is thinking, considering how they have treated Tucker Carlson and his team. You drop your most popular host in a way that just antagonizes your viewers and shows no loyalty for all he has brought to the network.
Now, Fox is reportedly showing that same attitude toward the remaining people who had worked for Carlson but who were still working for the network until Friday.
According to Chadwick Moore, Carlson’s biographer, the remaining nine people who worked on Carlson’s show were going to be “frog marched” out of the building tonight after they finished the show on Friday. One former Carlson producer called it “Degrading!” Here’s the email that those people allegedly got:
EXCLUSIVE: @TuckerCarlson’s remaining team at Fox News (nine employees) will be frog marched out of the building tonight at 9:00pm. HR will be waiting outside the control room when they finish tonight’s show to escort the remaining producers outside. One former Carlson producer… pic.twitter.com/kQLVhkS0KS
— Chadwick Moore (@Chadwick_Moore) July 14, 2023
What’s the point in that besides trying to humiliate them? Do they think these people were going to do anything? That’s just treating your employees so poorly. Again, does Fox still want viewers? Because that’s not going to go over well with the folks who are already mad at them for cutting Tucker.
Tumblr media
But Carlson may have the last laugh, as may the people who worked for him. We reported before that Carlson was working on the idea of starting a new media venture and now there are a lot more details.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former White House adviser Neil Patel are raising funds for a new media company that likely would use Twitter as its foundation, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
People familiar with the matter told the Journal the new company would run on subscriptions for longer versions of the free videos Carlson has been posting on Twitter for free since he was ousted from Fox News earlier this year.
The shorter videos will still be available for free for users on Twitter and other platforms, with subscriptions required for the longer videos in their entirety, people told the Wall Street Journal. [….]
Carlson and Patel are reportedly seeking to raise hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for the company. The pair founded the conservative publication The Daily Caller in 2010 and were roommates at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
People familiar with the new project said Carlson’s team recently met with Twitter to talk over the endeavor, which would feature a website and mobile app and potentially air on other platforms beyond Twitter.
They’re looking to raise hundreds of millions of dollars and the word is they already have lined up some financial backers.
Fox sent Carlson a cease and desist letter, claiming he’s still under contract with them. But Carlson’s lawyer Harmeet Dhillon said he would “not be silenced by anyone.”

in this video I'm going to talk about former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Don't forget to subscribe me.
Tucker Carlson is a well-known American conservative political commentator, journalist, and television personality. He was born on May 16, 1969, in San Francisco, California. Carlson grew up in a wealthy family and attended St. George's School in Rhode Island before going on to study at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
After college, Carlson began his career as a journalist, working for various newspapers and magazines such as The Weekly Standard and The New York Times Magazine. He then moved on to television journalism, working as a co-host of CNN's Crossfire program from 2001 to 2005.
In 2006, Carlson joined MSNBC as the host of Tucker, which aired weeknights at 6 pm ET. However, the show was canceled after just three years due to low ratings.
Carlson then went on to work for Fox News Channel in 2009 as a contributor and guest host before eventually landing his own show called Tucker Carlson Tonight in November 2016. The show airs weeknights at 8 pm ET and has become one of the most popular shows on Fox News.
Carlson is known for his conservative views and has been criticized for his controversial statements on various topics such as immigration, race relations, and gender issues. He has also been accused of promoting conspiracy theories and spreading misinformation.
Despite the criticism he receives from some quarters, Carlson remains one of the most popular figures in conservative media. His show regularly draws millions of viewers each night and he has become a prominent voice within the Republican Party.
In addition to his work in journalism and television, Carlson is also an author who has written several books including Politicians, Partisans & Parasites: My Adventures in Cable News (2003) and Ship of Fools: How a Selfish Ruling Class Is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution (2018).
Overall, Tucker Carlson is a polarizing figure who has become one of the most recognizable faces in conservative media. His views and opinions have sparked controversy and debate, but he remains a popular figure among his supporters and viewers.

Greene announced the bill during a Thursday appearance on Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight. The Georgia Republican argued that gender-affirming care—which is backed by most in the medical establishment, including by major mainstream organizations like the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)—is "disgusting and appalling" and "child abuse" when minors are involved. "I find this absolutely appalling, Tucker," Greene said. "When it comes to gender-affirming care, which is really child abuse, this is actually an assault and it's child abuse. And this practice should never happen, it's so disgusting and appalling... gender-affirming care is... genital mutilation." *** The largest online progressive news show in the world. Lizzo Had Choice Words for Kanye West After He Insulted Her Weight
“I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business.”

Lizzo appeared to shut down Ye, previously known as Kanye West, for his recent jab at her weight on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight.
During the October 7 appearance, Ye brought up the Grammy winner while arguing that the media’s “demonic” promotion of obesity was part of a plot meant to accelerate the “genocide of the Black race.”
“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots … on Instagram, they attack her losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” Ye told Carlson. He even had the audacity to call her his “good friend.”
Just a day later, the “About Damn Time” singer took a moment during the Toronto show of “Lizzo: The Special Tour” to let people know exactly how she felt about being brought up unprompted.
“I feel like everybody in America got my motherfucking name in their motherfucking mouth for no motherfucking reason,” Lizzo told the audience. “I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business.”
She joked that she might as well move to Canada, asking the crowd, “Can I stay here? Who can I marry for citizenship?” Judging by the audience’s screams of “yes,” she can absolutely find a Canadian hottie if she wants to.

During that same concert, Lizzo also Facetimed a concert attendee’s ex-boyfriend live on stage to ask him, “You ‘bout to miss out on a bad bitch or what?” Between her new tour, reclaiming a dead president’s 200-year-old flute, and flirting in Rihanna’s DMs, she is thriving, thank you very much.

And to the next person who feels compelled to make an unwarranted, fatphobic comment about Lizzo’s body, heed her acceptance speech reminder from this year's MTV Video Music Awards: “To the bitches that got something to say about me in the press, you know what? I’m not going to say nothing… Cause bitch, I’m winning, ho! THIS BITCH IS WINNING.”
