Continued from here! @feralgalaxy

An emotional AND mental shutdown. Hmph. Galacta Knight may have been strong, but were anything to go by, he was even more pathetic than that of the Doom Slayer. His nemesis still mastered control of his destructive tendencies, but this fool? It would be more than just himself that he would destroy.
And Davoth heard that he was supposedly the greatest warrior in this, the Gamble Galaxy. No matter, though-- He would be yet another mortal the Dark Lord will drag to the Dark Realm with him. Or attempt to; There still would be those who would seek to stop him.
---
“Look at that. Another mortal showing up around these deserts.” One of the demons gazing upon Galacta Knight stated. Looked to be that this one would be referred to as an Imp. “And one who isn’t human either.”
“Do you think this one could be an asset to our armies? Granted, he would even accept any pact with those higher-ups.” Another spoke, whose body was as dark as midnight, and could cloak herself from prying eyes if she wanted to. Could she be a fellow subspecies of the other Imp?
“Heh, I wouldn’t rule that out. His life energy is potent.” Said yet another, this time lankier, grey like that of a typical alien and had ten visible eyes on his face.
“You three, I think something’s up.” That would be the leader of the bunch. Perhaps, he belonged to the original generation of his kind. “He... doesn’t seem to be paying much attention to us.”
“Good call, Andhas.” A feminine voice called from behind the four demons-- Taller, lithe and adorned with a crown-like bone structure atop her head. She, however, was quite unique in appearance, compared to that of her fellow Summoners.
Unlike the Imps, she was floating. Perhaps her pair of elytra helped? Could be some kind of innate magic that could make her stay levitated just off the ground.
“This mortal appears to be on shutdown. Not even worth cornering right now.” She remarked. “And he isn’t even physically present here-- I can tell if this is a dream projection. He can do no harm to us, nor can we do the same to him.”
“I need you all to leave. Allow me to handle this.” The demoness signaled the Imps and anyone else present among the fiendish ranks to leave.
“It will be done, Lady Sthusa.” Andhas obeyed, retreating from his spot and having his brothers and sisters in arms do the same.
It was only this downtrodden knight and this demon lady now. She approached the dreaming projection.
“Hmm. So you are called Galacta Knight. We share a bond of the mind with our Father, as fallen as he is now-- He gives a number of our kind knowledge of many who come under Hell’s notice.” She began. “Some, though. Not all.”
“I know telltale signs of souls who have suffered when I see them.” She continued, with a knowing grin. “But you. You have seen what would have have broken the wills of many.”
“And it appears that they have reached you, too, haven’t they?”

A Long Day Ahead
Closed thread @mecha-marksman!
---
Things have been quiet since the humiliating failure of the second Earth invasion at the hands of the Doom Slayer. Well, not entirely quiet-- Cities, lesser settlements and the wild territories of the Crimson Dunes was still bustling around with activity, and with it the ever-maddening chaos of Hell, for the desert was part of it.
Though many demons here are more accustomed to reasoning-- And thus why the Court system exists in these dunes.. And yes, even to outsiders. Didn’t stop them from being brutal if so desired. Demons are still what they are at heart, only that they displayed who they used to be, whether they realize it or not.
House Arkah is among the many courts that dot the location, and it is currently the Royal Court of the Crimson Dunes. Having failed as the leader of the dunes in the invasion of Earth, however, has made things uneasy-- A few other courts, some Noble Houses, and others Lesser Houses have been questioning its authority and capability ever since, and some even suggested that the current ruling court step down and allow another to take place.
With that out of the way, atop the walls of a massive fortress stood watch towers, and guards watching over-- These could be from the most meager of Imps to the most challenging of Barons of Hell.
In fact, four of them were on temporary duty as the usual demon responsible for that specific outpost had to attend to important matters, and on another was a Marauder. Imps were like children to this particular demon somewhat-- In a sense that they always got in trouble and need to be kept in check to prevent unnecessary deaths.
Those four in particular, yes; Andhas, Vakal, Nexas and Xyrsara. They were useful and quite a threat as a team, but more than once he had heard them get in too much trouble for his own good.

This would better not turn into another hectic day for Tovir Moreus. So far, so good though-- He’d otherwise have to clean up whatever mess left behind by the time he was done with any one intruder.

“Ow!” A pained groan could be heard from behind a rock formation. There an Imp laid on the ground, with an arm obviously dislocated. Nexas and his friends had a skirmish with another pack of Imps on their hunt, and boy, was he not in a good shape. This Imp in particular lacked natural, chitinous plating unlike the rest of what formed the Imp Quartet, but at least he had tough, brown skin covering his being, and a few white bony spikes jutting from his body. His eyes were both burning red, with pupils not being clear thanks to their infernal glow.
“Nexas, will you quit being a baby? We’re not humans nor any other bags of meat out there! Show some endurance, won’tcha?” Another Imp reprimanded him. This was Andhas, leader of the admittedly small pack, if one could even call it. He had a mix of orange and purple on his being, and also had spikes jutting out from some parts of his body.
“Hello, Andhas? My arm feels like it’s about to pop off!” Nexas retorted against his friend’s remark. “And you’re our leader; Would it kill you if you’d show some support?”
“He’s not wrong.” Another voice responded. Vakal, the Imp leaning his back onto the rocky structure was quite the odd one out among the four-- He belonged to a variant where he lacked spikes protruding from his body, and he had ten eyes in place of just two with most other Imps-- Two larger ones which are used for normal vision, and the other, smaller eight eyes for heat vision. Due to the nature of his being, he, like Nexas and another member of the quartet, could wear some apparel more easily, as displayed by a simple steel, shoulder plate with a small banner to his right, the emblem of his House etched onto it. “We have an Imp down after all. I wouldn’t say what you said to Nexas if I were you.”
Tending to Nexas was the only female Imp of the group, Xyrsara. She had a shorter stature than her partners in crime, and her obsidian body and navy accenting, followed by two spikes protruding behind her shoulders betrayed the features of a Nightmare Imp. Imp variants like hers are rare these days because of an incident that took place a long time ago, when the Doom Slayer was but a simple mortal. She could turn translucent if needed be to the point anyone without keen, focused eyes would think a Specter was messing around with them, and even without her Prowler cousins’ teleportation ability, purple fires she hurls would be more volatile and dishes out greater punishments than that of her own kin.
“It would be a pain if you would have to respawn in the Mother Demon chamber back in the fortress. Consider yourself blessed that you have us.” She spoke as she repositioned Nexas’ dislocated arm in one swift move.
“AGH!” Nexas yelled in pain as his arm felt pressure from Xyrsara’s action. “That hurt like--” Nexas noticed that he could move his left arm now without experiencing much discomfort. “...Oh. Thanks, ‘Sara.”
“I’m just doing my job, Nexas. Don’t sweat it.” Xyrsara had a toothy grin, satisfied with being able to help the other Imp. “That said though...”
“Hell isn’t doing so well with invasion at the moment.” The Nightmare Imp spoke with concern in her voice. “Heard that a certain mean and green armored man came back, and he’s decimating a LOT of demons on campaigns for other realms.”
“Wanna bet that the tin can will eventually come to this desert and cause more damage than it’s been already done to?” Asked Vakal.
“No thanks.” A riposte from Andhas. “You guys know how he takes the likes of us out pretty easily.”
“Fair.” Nexas chimed in. He looked around for a moment. “Let’s jet. I’m sure there are some Rogues who want us be sent packing just because we pissed off a few Imps among them.”
“Back to the fortress then?” Xyrsara titled her head.
“Yep.” Andhas nodded.
It was time to head back. It had been a hectic day for the four imps, only because they wanted to hunt for food around these parts for themselves to eat later. They definitely got some Trites for a treat later when they return to the fortress though-- It was better than nothing.
