ALEX- “I don’t want to get married, Emma. I just---

EMMA- “You just what!? Woke up after three years and decided that you didn’t want to get married?? We have dated since we were in junior high school, been engaged since college, and NOW three days before our wedding YOU decide you don’t want to get married??!!”

ALEX- “I am sorry, Emma, but I have felt this way for quite a while. I don’t see marriage, or children in my future. With my work in the realm, and gone all the time I don’t think that is fair to you.”

EMMA- “Fair to me!!?? Fair would have been to not lie to me for the past three years...all of our lives almost, that is what fair would be. I can’t believe this. Where is this coming from, Alex?”

ALEX- “Emma, please understand this is not your fault. I just didn’t know how to tell you, and it has been eating me up inside....”

EMMA- “I must have done something, why after all this time would you---

ALEX- “Emma, I’m gay.”

She turns and walks towards the door...

ALEX- “Emma..?  Where are you going?”

EMMA- “I am going upstairs and getting my things and I am leaving, Alex. You are right. None of this is my fault. You need to deal with your own issues. I don’t understand, but if you are gay, then I need to move on now. I am going to my Aunt’s in Newcrest. I will get the rest of my things later. I need to go.”

ALEX- “I’m Sorry, Emma---

EMMA- “No, don’t even...not right now.”

EMMA- “I know! Just putting all the finishing touches to the wedding and reception. It seems like I have been planning a wedding for years!”

ALEX- “You have been, Emma,  I mean you have been planning this day since you were ten years old!”

Alex looked the same, except for his hair. It was shorter and less disheveled, which I missed, and he was getting married…. To Emma! Things certainly had changed.  What else was I going to learn today.  I need to find Philip and this ancient and get my head settled in this altered reality before I lost it. So hard to think how Vada’s spell and had changed so much. My entire life was altered that is for sure!

But across the street at Goth Manor, things are not going as well. Alex has decided to tell Emma that what was to be a double wedding ceremony is not going to happen, and that he wants to call off the wedding, as well as the engagement.

EMMA- “We have that dinner tonight at Eli and Laurel’s Alex, you are not even ready yet, and we are to be there in twenty minutes.”

ALEX- “I think we need to talk, Emma, so I told Eli we probably wouldn’t be there this evening.”

EMMA- “Well thanks for telling me, what is going on?  You have been extremely distant for the past few weeks, Alex.”

ALEX- “I have been thinking Emma...and I have realized that this is just not happening for me.”

EMMA- “What do you mean? What are you talking about?”

ALEX- “Emma, it is nothing you have done, believe me when I say this, but I just can’t marry you.”

EMMA- “What?!”

The Goth house looked the same, I knocked on the door, expecting Either Alex or his mother to answer the door.  Instead, it was Emma, who was also dead back in the other reality.  How many more dead people would be alive here???  And who is no longer here, that should be?

EMMA- “Eli, what a surprise!  I thought you would be gone for a few more weeks, welcome home...what is up with your hair?”

ELIAS- “A spell went array, but yes, it is a surprise to see you as well. So how are things?”

EMMA- “Well, the wedding is just four weeks away! Can you believe it? In four weeks I am going to be Mrs. Alexander Goth!”

ELIAS- “No, that is really hard to believe….. I mean it has went by so fast!”
