social media headcanons GO:

sonic: definitely does not strike me as a social media kind of guy tails: i mean this is already canon but definitely a youtuber. sonic shows up sometimes. i think the majority of his videos would just be like "i had a cool idea and then i made it!" with a timelapse & voiceover talking about the process. tangentially related but have you ever seen bobby duke arts' stuff? its incredibly cool and thats kind of what im invisoning here knuckles: no. if he shows up on social media its solely through other people (cameo in one of tails' videos, picture on rouge's instagram, etc.) rouge: DEFINITELY has instagram, twitter, and tiktok. has an army of thirst followers. also probably has a tumblr and reddit but uses them exclusively ironically shadow: has a massive superiority complex over not having social media accounts but manually checks like 20 different subreddits (all of them are anime) omega: rouge set him up a twitter because she thought it would be funny. he talks exclusively in all caps and has gotten banned 16 different times. has broken so many phones trying to type amy: definitely has instagram. shes one of those aesthetic photo people and sometimes posts baking recipes and cute friend pictures. i could also definitely see her having a tumblr but she's neck deep in the k-drama scene and exclusively reblogs show gifs eggman: absolutely goes on reddit. i could also definitely see him having a twitter whisper: i think generally she would be incredibly against social media but also i think itd be really cute if tangle helped her set up a youtube channel where she uploads vlogs about her wisps. shes definitely wearing her mask in these though. maybe tangle also sets up a pet instagram for her too (?) scourge: goal in life is to be a popular twitch streamer but he sucks at gaming so bad. thinks social media is incredibly cringe and is very vocal about this. also definitely goes on 4chan fiona: also thinks that social media is incredibly cringe but simultaneously has an extensive web of twitter sockpuppet accounts to kick up drama in the comments of people who she doesnt like. queen of cyberbullying. horrifically online but insists its all ironic so shes not being cringe shes just being ironically cringe <- drowning in denial big: king of twitch. his streams are literally just him fishing espio: also definitely does not strike me as a social media type of guy. maybe keeps up with one or two niche subreddits but thats about it vector: active reddit user but not redditor, if that makes sense. i think vector would spend way too much time scrolling on reddit but he is not a Reddit Man. i dont think he'd upload anything to youtube but he also definitely spends way too much time on there as well starline: redditor but the r/atheism fedora tipping "milady" kind of redditor. genuinely believes that men have a higher iq than women. definitely a moderator on several different subreddits and everybody hates him. was the mod for eggman's discord server until they had their epic breakup and he got publicly removed silver: if he knew what social media was he would exclusively use tumblr blaze: again does not strike me as a social media type of person. the petty squabbles of online randos is beneath her sally: ostensibly not a social media type of person. has a twitter but mainly for official announcement type things but DOES secretly(!!!) check reddit for soap opera recommendations nicole: gamer girl. has a huge twitch & youtube following. also has a huge amount of controversy surrounding whether she should technically be allowed to compete in tournaments/be considered a "gamer" because she's an ai rotor: in the same boat as tails i think - has a youtube channel for showing off inventions/generally making cool stuff. runs a niche casual tech subreddit & discord server or two, but nothing too fancy bunnie: maybe has an instagram for posting cute pictures every now and again, but overall not very present at all on social media antoine: i was originally going to say not much a social media person either but actually scratch that he uses exclusively facebook and sends bunnie extremely cheesy stupid memes all the time
