Your overall reflections on the internship and your studies.
This internship has been everything I expected and so much more. From the minute I walked through the doors of the office for my interview to my last day as an intern with Max Events, I have been welcomed with open arms by everyone. There is not a single person within the Max Events Team who wouldn’t put aside time to have a chat with me or teach me something new. There wasn’t a single time where I felt like I was an “intern” the experience I was provided, the “ROI & conversion to Full Time) Zhang, (2021) was in the front of the Max Events minds during the internship. I was treated the exact same as everyone else and that made the transition much easier. Considering I got this opportunity through networks and my resume being sent out they didn’t owe me anything but instead they’ve given every chance for me to succeed. Although you could say Mitch and Erin were my main to supervisors. If it wasn’t for people like Courtney or Tyson who said “Dan, we are going to stand behind you in case, but this is your opportunity.” It would’ve taken me longer to take that initial leap. Or if it wasn’t for Marissa and Olivia, I wouldn’t have been able to run a Match Day production for Collingwood Football Club which is my Childhood team and the opportunity to do so in such a wholesome and welcoming environment of the AFLW was something I’ll never forget.
If you were to sit my down at the start of my final year of this degree and said ‘Dan, you will rub shoulders with the Australian Boomers, Manchester United, Collingwood, Melbourne Storm, Melbourne United and many more, my reaction would be worth recording as here I sit now and I still can’t really believe it all.
The other half of this entry is a reflection on my studies, the past 3 years haven’t been a walk in the park but have been a true character-building experience. Having finished school and my diploma with extremely good results it was a harsh but fair kick to the teeth when I failed my first-ever assignment for this degree. It was what I needed to realise this isn’t school anymore and I’m going to have to work for what I want. Covid and lockdowns came very early on in my degree and completely changed the landscape of it all. It sometimes made it easier to manage my time and get my assignments done but it also made things difficult when it came to learning and listening. But here I am passing all my subjects bar this one knowing well I will be graduating in just a few months. It's hard to believe it, the student who had failed their first assignment to getting 20/20 on their final evaluation. The growth I’ve had in the past 3 years, the connections I’ve made, the opportunities I’ve captured. I couldn’t have asked it to have gone any other way.

Hi Taylor @taylorswift! So, this December it will have been 4 years since I met you in Club Red, Brisbane, 2013, when I was 14 years old. As you can probably imagine, a lot has happened in my life since  then (good and bad) so I thought I should give you an update.
April 2014: I got my first job as a sales assistant at a formal wear and bridal wear store... it was pretty exciting. I got to try on lots of pretty dresses.  ♡
October 2014: YOU FOLLOWED ME ON TUMBLR! For the first time since I met you in 2013, you finally knew who I was again. From then on, there were lots and lots of interactions between you and I, but I don’t know if you remember me now.
You also released 1989 in this month, and it has been one of the most important albums to me because you sing so much about finding freedom and being happy.
November 2014: I finished year 10 at school which meant the next two years of school would be a lot harder and I would really need to dedicate myself a lot more than I had been...
December 2014: I got tickets to 3 of your shows in Brisbane... I knew I would finally get to see you again and for that whole 12 month wait I knew I had something great to look forward to.
February 2015: I started my first year of senior schooling... these first few months were hard with mean people at school and teachers not truly understanding me, but listening to your music helped me get through it.
Nothing exciting really happened in these next few months so... flash forward to November 2015.
November 2015: My childhood dog passed away this month and I was so emotional about it. He grew up with me and was like my best friend... But I knew I had to be strong and just think about the memories.
Also this month I saw you live in Sydney... finally after waiting so long to see you again. I flew to Sydney with my mum and my dad and saw your concert by myself. Going to concerts is so strange but it was so nice just being able to freely dance like no one was watching. I missed you so much.
December 2015: Two more times to see you this month.  ♡. I saw you on December 5th in Brisbane and December 10th in Melbourne. My sister and I dressed up as a nightmare (my sister) and a daydream (myself) for your Brisbane show. I always feel so safe at your shows. Everyone is there for the same reason, because they love you, and it is just such a happy environment. At your Brisbane show I also got to meet my best friend, Nicole. I found her on Twitter just after I met you in Brisbane. She tweeted me after we met and then we just became best friends. So thank you for that.
For your Melbourne show, my sister and I dressed up as twenty stitches from “Out of The Woods”, pictured above. It was so wonderful and we were so close to you. You flew right over us during “Clean” and I absolutely lost it. Melbourne 1989 Night One was the best moment of my 2015.
February 2016: I start my final year of school. Where has the time even gone? It only felt like yesterday I was dancing around in a fairy costume listening to “Our Song” when it came on the radio.
The months in between here and graduation flew by. I had my school formal (pictured above with my sister), I graduated and was now officially an early educator and secured a full time job for when I finished school.
November 2016: Graduation! Finally... All the hard work has finally paid off and now I can do whatever I wish to do with my life. I couldn’t have done it without you, Taylor. You helped me through some of the darkest days of my life and for that I am forever thankful...
Nothing really happened between here and March 2017.
March 2017: I started my diploma of early childhood education, which once I get my diploma, basically means I can become a teacher for babies-6 year olds... I am pretty excited. It also means I can be a nanny/au pair which I do definitely want to do overseas eventually...
August 2017: You finally announce new music and a new album and I am overjoyed, exclaiming to my mum that you are coming back as tears roll down my face. We all missed you SO SO much. My family loves and adores you. I actually made a tweet about my mum to you once and you liked it, so I guess you’re a part of the family now.
September 2017: I have my 18th birthday. Which means I am now an adult. You helped me to get here. This also means that I have been loving you for 10 years now. Can you believe it?
And now, we make it to October 2017. Your new album is so close. I can’t believe how soon it is. I am so excited  ♡.
Thank you Taylor, for all that you do for me and all the other swifties.
I remember when I met you in 2013 I told you how long I had been idolising you for and how I never thought I would get the chance to say this to you in person that you mean so much to me and you said “thank you for sticking around”. Taylor, I will continue sticking around, don’t you worry. You are my favourite person in the entire world.
