DIORAMA | Dino Valls | Oil and gold leaf | Relief panel
Tryptich: 105 x 100 cm | 2016
Dino Valls' (*1959, Zaragoza) paintings are precisely planned and designed works full of riddles and symbolism, the solution to which is often found in some of the great works of art history. The figures in his paintings, which originate from his own imagination and are not based on real models, usually look directly at the viewer. However, it is not the meticulous depiction of the figures, reminiscent of portraits by the old masters, that is the protagonist of Valls' paintings, but the psychology inherent in the scene depicted. Valls has already participated in international exhibitions in museums in Athens, Rome, Miami and New York, among others.
