‘Learnt From Ranveer Brar’: 36-YO Rebuilt Career With Pizza Truck, Earns Rs 2 Lakh/Month

“For a long while, I refrained from telling people that my husband ran a food truck. I did this not because I was embarrassed by what he did but because the jibes and taunts never stopped. I was just tired of hearing it all,” says Manpreet Kaur, wife of Mohabat Deep Singh Cheema (36).

After losing his job during the COVID-19 lockdown, Deep moved to his village Dhilwan in Punjab and set up a food truck called – The Pizza Factory. The unique part about it is the price point where at just Rs 199 one can enjoy unlimited pizzas, burgers and fries.

“Today, people recognise me as his wife and often come up and tell me how much they enjoy the pizzas that he makes. I am proud that he stuck to what he wanted to and has come this far with this unique business idea,” says Manpreet.

गांव ढिलवां के लोगों ने पावरकॉम पर गलत तरीके से जुर्माने लगाने का आरोप लगाकर पावरकॉम दफ्तर के समक्ष धरना दिया। जब उनकी सुनवाई नहीं हुई तो उन्होंने देर शाम करीब 7:00 बजे तपा के पास चंडीगढ़-बठिंडा नेशनल हाईवे जाम कर धरना लगा दिया।

गौरतलब है कि पावरकॉम के अधिकारियों ने 10 दिन पहले 2-3 शिफ्टों में गांव ढिल्लवां में छापा मारा और लगभग दो दर्जन उपभोक्ताओं से बिजली चोरी करते पकड़ा था। फिर कंपाउंडिंग फीस और जुर्माना सहित नोटिस उन लोगों को दिया गया था। इसके बाद पावरकॉम पर गलत तरीके से लोगों पर झूठे पर्चे दर्ज कर अधिक जुर्माना लगाने का आरोप लगाया गया। विरोध मे किसान संगठन ने धरना लगाया।

इस अवसर पर भाकियू सिद्धूपुर के जिलाध्यक्ष रूप सिंह ढिल्लों, वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष जसपाल सिंह कलामजरा, ब्लॉक अध्यक्ष माहिलकला अध्यक्ष जगपाल सिंह, उपाध्यक्ष करनैल सिंह , बलौर सिंह, कुलदीप सिंह ने कहा कि जनता से अधिकारियों द्वारा धक्का किया जा रहा है।
