"𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮'𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜?"
Tumblr media
AFTER A month of attending my new school, I had essentially discovered the entire purpose of it, which is essentially for the intelligent students to enhance their knowledge, for the athletic students to impregnate as many girls as possible, and for the girls to try to conceive before their final year.
It made absolutely no sense to me.
The only thing I eagerly anticipated every morning was seeing Carol, as she is essentially my sole companion.
I could even go as far as to say that we are best friends, since we have grown quite close and gotten to know each other better over the past month.
As I descended the stairs, I noticed that nobody was home. I suppose they must have driven Gabi to school. They could have at least said goodbye to me first, but then again, I don't know why I would expect them to bid me farewell. I didn't even want to talk to them, especially my mother.
I closed the door behind me, making sure to lock it. I entered my car, locked the doors, and inserted the key into the ignition. I pulled out of the driveway and proceeded down the road. After a few minutes, I spotted a familiar figure walking on the side of the road - it was Carol.
I halted the car, rolled down the driver's window, and leaned out.
"Hey Denning!" I called out. She turned her head, narrowing her eyes in my direction, but they softened a bit when they met mine. I gestured for her to come over.
"Get in!" She shook her head with a slight smile as she approached the car.
She opened the passenger side, placing her backpack inside before getting in herself. She closed the door behind her, fastened her seatbelt, and I began driving towards the school.
"Care to enlighten me on why you were walking?" I asked, turning my head towards her with a raised eyebrow.
She took a deep breath and responded, rolling her eyes.
"Barb ditched me again. She said she had to go pick up some friends, so I had to walk." I let out a sigh and leaned back in my seat.
"You know what? Since she can't seem to use any common sense, how about I start picking you up and taking you home from now on?" I suggested.
She turned her head towards me with a slightly surprised expression before her gaze became stern, and she looked back at the road.
"No, it's fine. Besides, I'm always working, and it would be difficult for you to keep going back and forth between your house and my workplace," she said.
She was somewhat correct, as it would be challenging, especially since my parents usually make me pick up Gabi.
I wasn't going to say anything else until an idea occurred to me.
"How about I just work with you, so I don't have to constantly drive?" I asked her. She appeared to be lost in thought before shrugging.
"I'm pretty sure they're hiring, especially since some woman with a lazy eye tried to sleep with one of the customers, and we have very few waiters," she stated with a smirk.
I turned my head to her with a disgusted look.
"What the hell happens in this town?" Her smirk widened, if that was even possible, and she shrugged again.
"I don't know, you'll just have to find out," I shook my head at her as we pulled into the school's parking lot. I parked the car and turned off the engine, making sure to lock the doors as we got out of the car.
As we walked into school, I noticed Barbra and three other girls looking at us with hostile expressions, while Barbra was glaring at me.
However, it had no effect on me; I've seen much worse. Carol and I just started talking about our likes and dislikes.
"Favorite celebrity?" I asked her, to which she immediately responded with a dreamy sigh.
"Burt Reynolds," she sighed dreamily. I looked at her with a perplexed expression.
"That guy is the definition of someone who hasn't shaved in ten years," I said, rolling my eyes. She gasped and pushed me, glaring at me.
"You will not speak about Burt that way," she said, crossing her arms.
I just rolled my eyes once more.
"Keep rolling those eyes I hope they get stuck" I smacked my lips and rolled them once again intentionally.
"What is your favorite candy?" She asked as we stopped by my locker it took me a moment to think before I finally had my answer.
"I enjoy hard candy but if we're being specific here it would have to be blow pops or jawbreakers" she quickly turned her head to me.
"Shut the hell up, you like jawbreakers too?" She asked, mouth dead open I nodded my head in recognition.
"Hell yeah those things are good, and the color changing is cool" I replied closing my locker as we began to make our way to our first period
"We are genuinely the same. I eat those things all the time if I'm not smoking" she stated.
I slightly smiled at her reaction. I kind of wished I had met her earlier. Maybe my childhood would have been better if we made it into our class, and we made our way to our seats in the back as we sat down, I said.
"I used to smoke before my parents found out and prohibited them from me" I said.
She rolled her eyes "my parents tried to stop me yet I'm still smoking 2 packs a day" I chuckled at her response but had to quiet down as the class was starting.
I was closely observing the clock, aware that we only had 9 more minutes left. I was interrupted from my thoughts when someone tapped on my shoulder.
I turned to find the familiar girl, Rosalie, standing there.
"Yes?" I inquired. She simply smiled and asked, "Oh, nothing. I was just wondering if you're available to hang out and get to know each other?"
Before I could respond, someone slammed their hand on my desk, causing me to quickly turn my head. It was Carol, giving Rosalie a menacing look.
"Looks like your little plan is about to fail because she's not available," she sneered, then leaned back in her chair and focused on the teacher.
I motioned towards Carol with my head and said, "Yeah, you heard her."
Rosalie nodded slowly and tucked some of her hair behind her ear, turning her attention back to the front of the classroom. After a few minutes, the bell finally rang, and I let out a sigh of relief as I gathered my belongings.
Once I finished, I waited for Carol, who was taking her time.
Finally, when she was done, we both left the classroom and headed towards the gymnasium for gym class.
As we made our way there, Carol almost slipped on something, and I quickly reacted by grabbing her hand and pulling her back into my arms.
She let out a small yelp as her back met my front, and we both froze, our faces only inches apart.
We stared at each other for a moment before our attention was drawn away by laughter. We turned to see Barbra and her group of friends laughing at us.
"Wow, Carol, didn't know you were a lesbian," Barbra said, doubling over in laughter while her friends followed suit.
I have had enough of this girl. If this was how she treated her own sister, I couldn't imagine being related to her. I wouldn't even be this cruel to Gabi.
I shielded Carol from behind me and approached Barbra, delivering a forceful slap across her face that caused a heavy silence to descend upon us.
Barbra slowly turned her head towards me, glaring at me with intense hatred. However, I remained unaffected and grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, pulling her closer to me.
With an emotionally detached expression, I looked into her eyes and said.
"If you ever speak ill of her in my presence again, I will personally pay you a visit. Trust me, you do not want to be on my list because I guarantee you'll end up in a hospital bed, nourished through a tube. Do you understand, Barbra?" She continued to glare at me but reluctantly nodded.
"I don't accept nods. I expect a verbal response. Yes or no?" She took a deep breath and reluctantly replied, "...yes."
I smirked triumphantly and pushed her away, causing her to stumble and fall to the floor.
Her followers quickly rushed to her aid, but she brushed them off and stormed away. They all looked at me as I gave them a menacing glare.
"Scram," I said, and they scattered in fear while I chuckled to myself.
I turned back to Carol and saw her shaking her head with a smile on her face, letting out a small laugh.
"You should smile more often," I genuinely told her. However, her smile immediately faded upon hearing my words.
"What smile? I don't know what you're talking about," she said, averting her gaze with slightly flushed cheeks.
"Just thought I'd mention it," I shrugged and walked away towards the gym, with Carol following behind me.
The rest of the school day proceeded without incident, including gym class. I drove Carol home, but this time I didn't leave immediately since I had essentially volunteered to assist her.
Instead, I waited in the car while she went inside to change. A few moments later, she emerged in her uniform.
She entered the car, fastening her seatbelt. Then, she grabbed a hairband and tied her hair into a high ponytail as I drove away from her house towards Domingos.
When we arrived, I noticed a small sign indicating they were hiring. We both got out of the car, but before I could reach for the door, Carol's hand firmly grasped my arm.
She pulled me closer, embracing me tightly as I stood there in surprise. Slowly, I wrapped my arms around her.
"Thanks for defending me," She said and I let out a chuckle as we separated.
"But don't get too comfortable, this hug was a one-time thing, dipshit."
We entered the diner and I saw a man, possibly in his late 30s, standing at the counter.
He wore a black suit, was clean-shaven, and had a menacing look. When he noticed me, his gaze hardened. Meanwhile, Carol went off to start her shift. The man walked over to me, analyzing me for a moment before speaking.
"So, since you're not ordering anything, and I know you're not one of my employees, I'm guessing you saw the hiring sign?" I nodded, maintaining a serious expression.
He gestured for me to follow him, and I complied. We walked down the hallway and entered a room that was likely his office.
He held the door open for me and motioned for me to take a seat. I pulled out a chair and sat down, and he did the same.
"So, miss..." he trailed off, waiting for me to provide my name.
"Penelope or Penny," I replied.
He nodded in acknowledgement and continued, "So, tell me, why did you decide to apply for a job here?" I didn't have a specific answer, so I decided to simply tell a straight-up lie.
"Well, my mother is struggling with skin cancer and my father is facing challenges with his job to try and afford her treatment and ensure that my sister and I are well taken care of, so I wanted to find employment to assist him since life has been difficult for not only my father but our entire family," I explained, feigning tears to elicit some sympathy.
He nodded earnestly at my response and took a deep breath.
"You seem like you genuinely need it, so I would be happy to offer you the job. However, you'll have to start today because we're supposed to host a birthday party, and we're short on staff. Your role will be waiting tables, and if you need assistance, I can have Carol help you since you two seem acquainted."
I was still slightly shocked at how effortlessly I had convinced this man. Initially, I had expected it to be challenging, but I had proved myself wrong.
I nodded in agreement, and he handed me a uniform similar to Carol's. Internally, I cringed at the sight of it, regretting my previous teasing of Carol for having to wear such a uniform.
He shook my hand, and I exited the office, making my way to the bathroom to change. The bathroom was covered in graffiti on the walls and emitted an unpleasant odor of feces, smoke, and sex.
I recoiled in disgust and hastily entered a relatively clean stall to change. I packed my clothes into a small bag and zipped it closed.
I examined my reflection in the mirror and rolled my eyes. I appeared absolutely absurd, but I'm doing it for Carol, so I suppose I just had to cope with it.
I tied my hair up into a high ponytail and made my way outside. I scanned the area for a place to store my bag until I spotted some lockers with names on them.
I searched for an unoccupied one, unfortunately next to Barbra's, but remained silent. I simply opened the locker, placed my belongings inside, and closed it.
I decided to be theatrical and headed towards Carol, sliding in front of her and causing her to jump slightly. "Guess who landed the job!" I quipped, flipping my hair.
She gazed at me in disbelief, then shook her head.
"You lucky bitch," she chuckled lightly, crossing her arms over her chest.
"So what will you be doing?" she asked, tilting her head slightly to the side.
"I'll be your table-waiting buddy," I replied, wiggling my eyebrows.
We chatted for a while as we waited some tables. I won't lie, this was the simplest thing I've ever done. It was much better than my previous job.
I swear, when I worked there, I never knew how to operate that cash register. Thankfully, I didn't get assigned that position, or else I would have been fired immediately.
The manager had mentioned a small birthday party for some spoiled 11-year-old boy with wealthy parents. I had to serve their table, and let me tell you, that boy was the pickiest and most bratty kid I've ever encountered.
He constantly yelled at his parents, who looked like dejected puppies. He directed some of that anger towards me. As much as I wanted to punch him out of his chair, I had to maintain professionalism.
But I did give him a little menacing stare and it was my 'if you shout at me again I'll bury you alive' type of menacing stare that surely silenced that little brat for the entire duration I served them but other than that it was a pretty relaxed day.
I glanced at my watch and noticed it was time for us to leave, observing workers packing up and departing while others were wiping down tables and sweeping floors.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and my reflexes immediately kicked in, causing me to tightly grip the person's wrist, making them groan in pain.
"Damn it, Penn, it's me," the person said. I quickly turned around to see Carol glaring at me.
With a nervous chuckle, I let go of her wrist and shrugged my shoulders. "Sorry, my reflexes," I explained.
"As I was saying, are you ready to go? My parents want me home early to babysit the annoying brat," Carol replied, rolling her eyes.
I nodded in response to her question, and we headed towards the back to collect our belongings. I opened my locker, retrieved my bag and car keys, and closed the locker behind me.
As I stood up, I noticed Carol taking her hair out of its high ponytail and running her hands through it.
I couldn't deny that she looked absolutely stunning at that moment, but I quickly snapped myself out of it and started walking, with Carol following closely behind.
Suddenly, I felt someone grab my hand, and when I looked down, I saw Carol's fingers interlocked with mine.
I glanced at her to see her smirking at me. "Better get used to it," she teased, and I chuckled as we walked out of the building hand in hand. This girl is truly one of a kind, and honestly, I have no objections to it.

So, you're on board with southern belle Gwen now huh? Well then partner, how about I propose a scenario then?
Jaune Arc has been having a rather tough week, so Gwen takes it upon herself to show him some southern hospitality and cheer him up. Luckliy she's heard from friends of a few ways she could help the boy relieve some stress~
Gwen found herself at a crossroads, well perhaps not a crossroads, but rather a perplexing situation. You see, it was rather unlike her to reach out to someone she didn't quite know, however it wasn't unlike her to help those that were in need of assistance.
She may have come from team NDGO, however that did not mean that she or Dew agreed with their leaders... nastier habits.
Well, regardless, that wasn't why she was here. Nay, instead she was hear to cheer up one Jaune Arc. The young Lad had seemingly been down in the dumps, as they say. She'd seen the stressed look upon his his striking face several times, and she could tell he was soon to blow.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Coming!"
His dulcet tone seeped from the other side of the door.
She heard the clicking of the lock, and watched as it slowly opened only for the young strapping man to appear before her.
"Oh hey uhm... Gwen right? How can I help you."
He seemed perplexed, not that she could blame him, they were not on speaking terms, or any terms to be exact. So seeing her reach out to him must have been the darndest thing.
"Hello Suga." He blinked for a moment eyeing her suspiciously.
"A'h was noticing that you'd been rather pent up recently."
Now he was definitely looking at her strangely, she ignored this even if it confused her a bit.
"So A'h was lookin out fer yah, and was wonderin if ya'll would lahk to blow off some steam perchance?"
"Uhm..."
"A'h know that it's odd for me to reach out to yah, but A'h noticed that you'd not been able to release yourself recently."
"Oh well uhm... I don't-"
She couldn't help but notice how endearing the curling red spreading from his neck to his cheeks was.
"No need to be bashful. A'hm simply lookin out for a fellow, I've heard from Ms. Nikos, that ya have more packin to ya than first appears."
"Oh well I don't... Pyrrha said that?"
He was scratching the back of his head.
"That she did, and A'h was hopin to get to know ya better, and what better way den ta help ya. A'h know a good position to release yer nerves, and A'h'm quite skilled at helping with rubbing it out."
Jaune started to choke on air, coughing up his lungs.
"Gwen! I'm uhm... I'm flattered, but I don't think I know you well enough for that just yet!"
She gave him a rather confused, yet dejected glance, something he seemed to notice.
"You're a rather pretty girl but uhm... I don't think that uhm... you should be going around and offering your services like that... so easily?"
"Whatever do ya mean? A'h see nothing wrong with mounting and massaging... A'h won't ask fer anythin in return, A'h promise!" She began to ask desperately, wanting to help him, "A'hve never even gotten anythin in return, except for a pearl necklace once!"
"Gwen!"
He seemed absolutely flabbergasted at this point.
"I uhm... I'm not sure what Pyrrha told you, but I..." HIs face was a hot bright red, a rather cute appearance if she did say so... then he looked at her, like really looked at her till a realization hit him.
"Gwen?"
"Yes?"
"Are you offering to give me a massage, as in a back rub?"
"What else could A'h mean?"
He blinked for a bit, "Ah well... uhm... I'm sorry."
"Fer what may A'h ask?"
"Don't worry about it... but sure I uhm... I could use a bit of a back rub, I'm a bit sore from training, and PYrrha hasn't had the chance."
"Yes! Thank you, she's mentioned that helping you can be rather fullfilling."
Okay that time he knew that was on Pyrrha...
Regardless he let the girl in, and as it turned out. She was really good at backrubs!
"Also, Ms. Nikos mentioned to provide you with a happy ending, A'h do not see how else this could end however."
'Damn it Pyrrha.'

Another cookie squad Headcanons
Featuring Sparkling, Vampire, cellphones and the Espresso and Madeleine Story of how they came together. Consider it an AU now baby!
Tumblr media
-As a note, when I say the squad I'm mostly referring to the adults, so no worries about Walnut or Creampuff useless I mention them too
-Each one of the squad has been in Sparkling's bar at last once. There's no need to say who has been there the most. Sparkling has a time every time someone besides Roguefort comes, because to him it's mostly like "Oh I'll finally know the continuation to the burnt toast accident or maybe the cat catastrophe? Maybe a new POV of the--"
He practically knows a lot of what happens in between the squad.
-As another note, Sparkling's bar is called Milabo (You know, like the song from Zutomayo of the same name, which, btw, I relate a lot to Latte)
-*A great part of this “AU” is kind of inspired by the song. Part of its lyrics and vibe.
-Vampire is there most of the time when the squad visits the bar (it's almost as if he never leaves the bar and this is definitely not me low-key putting sparkvamp in this oh no--) Sometimes the fakes his sleep to listen to the things others say (Which is how he knows most of Rogue's pan-ic).
-Walnut has been in Sparkling's bar too, but at day and for case-solving purposes only. Sparkling will give her some alcohol-free drink for free sometimes (mostly because he gets along pretty well with the nut family and because Almond usually pays him whatever he serves her).
-If the squad had cellphones (and probably an app like discord because.), their group chat would initially be called "Coffee mage appreciation group" and then be changed to "Coffee bean appreciation group"
Coffee Bean: Can we please change the group name and mine?
Guided by the Devine: No <3
Coffee Bean: Fuck you.
-*And they all would dedicate half their time to make fun of Almond but with love.
-Espresso has been mistaken for a dark mage before by Almond. It was how they meet actually. Almond had pulled him to interrogate him and got a long lecture on the differences between black magic and coffee magic.
-Madeleine gets along rather well with Roguefort. Rogue seems impressed by Maddie’s acting skills.
-Madeleine is currently living with Espresso. Out of his armor most of the time. He usually takes care of keeping the house clean and preparing meals (He never really had to cook before but the first dish he made wasn’t bad at all). Sometimes he will tag along Almond in the detective’s work, or Almond will ask for his help.
-I’m still unsure if I want the Almond/Roguefort/Latte to be romantic or platonic. But honestly? Both are good. Latte is pretty close to Almond and Roguefort but not in the way she is with Espresso (that makes them look like siblings jkashduawhu). Perhaps I’ll keep it platonic.
-The Espresseleine/Madespresso story of how they came together, because I seem to not be able to write it down JSHALDHUIWADWA-
--It happens after the Puppet Show mini quest. Madeleine starts to ask for Espresso's "assistance" in different mission that are given to him. Angel is there too, of course.
--During these missions is that Essy clarifies that no, they are not friends, no, he does not like Madeleine. Bringing up the knight begin too prideful and self-centered if not all then most of the time.
--Is not until one of their missions goes wrong, were Angel is knocked out and Espresso (seeing and knowing that if Madeleine is knocked down too they might not be able to go back to the kingdom ever) pretty much receives a rather big attack for Madeleine is that he kind realizes the facts given by espresso true. All while he is carrying Essy and Angel back to the kingdom, running and exhausted too.
--Clover begin kind of a mediator between the two (I want to see more of my son--)
--"Devine, protect us" Should happen too after this. An scenario like, Madeleine coming to think something like "I'm the shield, the one who goes on the front line and receives the blows for those who can't, always looking straight ahead... but if I am doing that then who watches my back? Who do I rely on and trust to take care of most enemies so the damage received is not overwhelming...?"
Power of team work baby!!!
--As a note to this, Maddie getting his cape damaged as well as his hair. So, you get short hair Maddie~
Tumblr media
(I've been drawing him with short hair in secret now I have an excuse to show)
-- "You...cut your hair..." *Madeleine touches the points of it with one of his hands, pensive* "...pft it'll grow back!"
--There's also this "Search for your own light" thing between Angel and Maddie. Angel encouraging Madeleine to do so. Maybe Madeleine giving his best wishes to them for their wish to fly before they decide to part ways.
--Madeleine trying other ways to befriend Essy. Which at first Espresso mistaken as the knight usual attempts to befriend anyone he sees out of habit and attention seeking, but once they realize the feeling is completely genuine, Espresso is rather perplexed.
--"You can't just befriend people by buying them gifts (although I do appreciate them)" "Then what?" "hmm..."
--Said gifts used to be rather expensive things, simple though. Eventually Madeleine settles to just pass by Espresso's place, give him any food he had bought that day (which usually is glazed donuts), ask if he needs any help with something (getting a vase, materials, moving things), and if not then he just says his good byes, best wishes and silently leaves. (A note on the "silently leaves": Madeleine is pretty much used to speak loudly and enter loudly anywhere, he still does this at this point, but when it's about Espresso he is a bit more quiet, a bit showy over his entrances still, but less loud, and he actually knocks the door)
--Madeleine eventually manages to go out with Espresso to other places that aren't some place in the forest full of enemies. Probably after some more visits to his place and more calm talks between the two, Madeleine brings up that Espresso tends to act a bit cold or distant towards a lot of people, and that, although he understands his discomfort at begin in public spaces or too long out of his work, he should try and open up a bit. This reminds Essy of a certain friend he hasn't seen in some time, and from whom he keeps getting letters.
--Shenanigans.
--There's still some bickering between the two, always with a playful undertone though.
--Espresso explains Madeleine, one time the knight has gotten Espresso wrapped in a blanket burrito again and got him to bed, that sometimes, no matter how tired he might feel, he is simply unable to sleep. Part of a headcanon of mine that coffee magic has this side effect on it's users, prolonged usage of this kind of magic will induce a high caffeine kind of state, which on the long run can fuck up the user's sleep schedule. Madeleine understands this, but remains stubborn about keeping Espresso in the bed so at last he can get some rest from his work and clear his mind a little, the idiot falls asleep in the process and Espresso doesn't try to wake him up.
--This happens several times after, neither of them thinking of the implications of not begin bothered by the sudden closeness they share until it's too late.
--Espresso realizes first that he has slowly, yet nicely, fallen for Madeleine. I think I talked about this before but I'll do it again: Is in one of the times Madeleine has gotten Espresso to bed to get some rest, Espresso not begin able to fall asleep and Madeleine doing again. Is while he thinks of how he has gotten to know Madeleine for real, not the Knight Commander from a noble family or the Chosen by the Devine, but as he is, that he comes to think that "Ah.... I love him" and he remains calm about it.
--Espresso doesn't overthink it, just thinks that, if Madeleine ever got an interest in him, he would surely show it. So he waits. Even if in the end his feelings aren't mutual he knows he'll do just fine remaining friends.
--Madeleine realizes not many days after. And the realization hits him like a truck. Alone in his place and probably in bed looking at the ceiling thinking about Espresso. Once he realizes and thinks about it a bit more his face gets all red and chooses to scream in the pillow.
--He would think about telling Espresso as soon as he can, after all, he doesn't want his feelings to make their friendship weird. He values it, a lot. Maybe because his friendship with Espresso it's the first one where he genuinely wanted to become friends with someone.
--Espresso takes the confession calmly, gets all flustered after they kiss for the first time.
--As a few extras of this: Madeleine goes back to the Republic, asked to be seen by his family and Espresso goes to Parfedia, where a few students have applied to his class to his surprise. When they see each other again is at Parfedia (Madeleine sending a message to Espresso beforehand about his arrival) -there was this one drawing I did once of Maddie running to hug Espresso, something like that happens-. Madeleine gets very clingy for some reason, which they speak later and comes out as “Home doesn’t quite feel like home…” “Why is that?” “I don’t know… maybe I’ve become used to be around you”
--Espresso lets ends up letting Madeleine stay with him until he either feels like returning to the Republic or is called back, whatever happens first (though none will happen for maybe a year or a little more).
--Ends with Madeleine meeting Latte and Almond.

His princess ❣︎

When the chairman asked to see you personally, the first thought was definitely, I'm getting promoted.
This is it, after working full-time with that dimwit, I'm getting promoted~ And I might finally get a chance to work with Gun! You squealed at the thought, skipping through the hallways in delight, faintly humming a song.
In front of his door, you smoothed out your suit, a brand new one just for this exact event. Taking a deep breath, you pushed open the door. But what awaited you was a little, no, a lot different to what you expected. A smug-looking man, manspreading on the couch, and the chairman sitting straightly.
"Princess, I missed you!" Goo exclaimed, not too surprised when you shot him a glare. Ngl, after working with him for nearly two weeks, it's shocking how much he grew onto you. Is this his manipulative side everyone talks about?
Maybe the gut feelings were mistaken, maybe the butterflies that erupted in your stomach when the nickname 'princess' was used, were simply all an illusion.
Oh, but he noticed, how that glare was far softer than before. How your eyes would linger on him a bit longer every time he treats you after work. How you wouldn't protest about his sickly sweet nicknames anymore, how you'd enjoy his company.
The chairman snapped you out of your trance, "Take a seat." You plopped down on the place besides Goo where his hands patted. Honestly a little confused as to why you complied without complaint. You might not catch it, but his smirk widened more seeing you so obedient.
"I don't think you've heard, but you've made quite a name for yourself, miss y/n."
You tilted your head in perplex, and why on earth was Goo gawking at you like that. Creep.
"Goo's princess."
"Pardon me?" your neck snapped towards the strict man. you couldn't find an ounce of insincerity on his emotionless face. Dead silence rang through the room till Goo's laughter burst out in amusement.
Oh lord how you were wrong, let's never underestimate your gut feeling. The butterflies are going insane upon his laughter, wait, why are my cheeks burning?
"Princess! This is unexpected, but what we're trying to say is ..."
The sentence echoed throughout the room.
"What did you say?"
"I said, what we're trying to say is, you'll stay working with me, sweet pea!"
Hold on, haha I'm so tired I'm hallucinating. Right?
Your face was blank, well more like restrained.
All you were thinking about was should you risk it by yelling in the chairman's face. Though in the end, you'd rather not lose your job. So you took a big breath, "What's the meaning of this?" you said exasperated.
Goo brushed his hair back, standing up with hands behind his back. "Well, I suggested to the chairman, since more people will be targeting you now, there's no need to change and put other people into danger! Right? Miss y/n." he announced proudly.
The first use of your name to ever fall out of his lips.
"Do you have a fever princess? You're a bit red." Goo mentioned. This man needs to stop examining you like that, with those tempting eyes. You didn't even notice he took off his glasses until you finally looked him in the eye.
"I-I'm fine, just recovering from the shock." you blurted out. "But president, does that mean I have to stick with this moro- I meant Goo, until the rumors are resolved? And without increasing my salary?" you sulked.
The man cut off Goo before he could speak, "If a raise is what you're looking for, that's already done. But about the rumors, they won't go out after a day."
To be honest, your face is more green than red. Hold on, didn't I come here just to work with my beloved jonggun, time out, what's going on.
"Please just tell me what's gonna happen." sighing loudly, you lean forwards, massaging your forehead with one hand.
"I'm going to make you collect debts with joongoo instead of jonggun."
Ok, that's it. You blew up. "Wait! Chairman please, you cannot be serious about this!" Man did your dreams just wash down the drain in front of you, yeah it did.
"Buttercup, you don't have to worry about working with me! I'm reliable you know?" Goo grinned, seeing you speechless gave him another level of refreshment.
A fly might have gotten into your mouth, but that's all nothing compared to the bullshit you've just heard. Your mouth wide open, trying to digest the info you were given.
"Hold on, so you're telling me, to work every day plus night, full-time, no rest while dealing with a fool AND putting my life on the line?"
"You're pay is increased by 50 percent."
"Deal."
----------------------------------------------⌫
"Hey boss, it's them! Goo and his woman!"
You rolled your eyes hearing those words, crossing your arms, "Gosh could people stop saying that?"
Goo turned around to smirk at you, "I could get used to this, in fact, I think this is fantastic!" He turned back only to meet the eyes of the gang's boss. Oh how he terrified him with his menacing smile, a signature one of course.
"Jackass," you muttered under your breath.
"Hey, you give me a new nickname every time don't ya. What about hubby, or even prince char-"
"No way! There's no charming thing about you, I'll stick with my nicknames thank you. But anyway, why is the leader quivering like that?"
Something's not right.
"You've got to be kidding me.” you groaned.
The head only chuckled tensely, “M-mister Goo, you certainly are early, would you like something to drink? Or..." he scratched the back of his head. I wish I could tell him to drop that fake ass smile.
Goo checks his watch with a grimaced face, "No, we're just on time. Now if you would kindly show us what you've prepared?" he leaned towards the boss.
The leader avoided eye contact with the towering man, mumbling a few words. "Huh? I can't hear you man, hold on, you do have the money right? My schedule was delayed and I've given you guys three extra days!" he made a pissed-off face, "I was gonna grab dinner after this, so let's clear up this misunderstanding. Fast."
This doesn't usually happen frequently, the sum isn't even that difficult to make. Unless if you're not good with money, but then why would you make a gang?
Do I just have bad luck, still I'm glad I'm not wearing anything too expensive. The crew didn't look too pleased with Goo's statement, one by one they begin taking out their weapons.
"Princess, behind you~"
You sighed while murmuring some curses, lifting your arm and slamming back your clenched fist, whacking the guy's nose. Why am I always the option for a hostage? Sighing even more, you asked, "You want help?"
"Yes please cutie, but if you keep sighing like that, you'll get shorter!" The audacity of this man to insult you while fighting off people like it's such a daily thing.
Upon his mockery, you decided to just not help, walking away from the scene and ignoring his whining apologies. Instead, approaching the boss on the side, flinching when he felt your firm grip on his shoulders. What a pussy, you thought, is he shorter than me?
"Don't come near me! Guards, hey!" he shrieks, earning a loud snicker from you. "You call yourself the boss? Hey, look at me. Your guards aren't coming ok? You'll have to deal with me."
You grinned, one that sends chills down his spine, making him back off into a corner. Goo should be done soon, even if he isn't, he's gonna rush. Just to see the daunting expression on your face when you finished your job.
Then at the end of the day, he'll award you for your hard work. Even taking a nice short stroll with you, treating you some ice cream. Things like this are what makes work tolerable, it's not far-fetched to even say enjoyable. Though you'd never admit.
And he won't stop spoiling you, not until he loses interest. But maybe, just maybe those little butterflies are also fluttering in his tummy. Somethings telling him this isn't just about interest, it's a lot more.
After all, you are his princess.

Tumblr media
Hey, hey! First of all, thank you guys so much for your feedback. You have no idea how happy it makes me to read all your messages of how much you enjoy this story. :) Also, big shoutout to @iis4d! She’s an amazing writer and person and I really hope she’s gonna publish a few more scenarios sooner or later.
I hope you’ll like this part even though not much happens but I promise there’ll be more in the following ones! Enjoy! – V.
Genre: perhaps a tiny bit of angst at the end?
Pairing: Wooyoung x reader
Word Count: 1.4k
For your luck, San immediately read the message you sent him and you received one in return which said he'd come over as soon as possible. In the meantime, you waited rather impatiently in front of the KQ Entertainment building for your friend to arrive.
Perhaps, it wasn't the best idea to wait right in front of the building where your boyfriend was practising with someone else. The urge to storm into the building was present as ever, anger uncontrollably taking over your body. However, you remained surprisingly calm as you kept telling yourself that it wasn't worth it. Apparently, Wooyoung wasn't ready to talk to you yet so it was better to gain some distance instead of making a scene in front of a stranger.
As your memories dragged you back to the moment he snapped at you in front of the female, you felt a single tear escaping your eyes, slowly sliding down your cheek only to leave a wet trail behind which caused a shiver running down your spine due to the wind that met your body. No, you told yourself. Y/N, don't cry.
With a quick movement of your palm, you dried your moistened cheek whilst inhaling a deep breath which helped you to calm down for at least a little. Before you could even drown deeper into the memories which kept your head busy, you've heard a familiar voice calling your name from afar. Honestly, you've never been more relieved to hear San's voice.
Turing around on your heels, you approached the taller male with a fake smile though that was something which didn't trick him at all. You've been friends with the boys for over a year now and the amount of time you spent with them despite their busy schedule has helped them to get to know you better than anyone else besides your family does. Not hesitating any longer, the raven-haired opened his arms to pull you into his embrace to keep you close for some seconds longer.
“Hey”, he'd mutter against your temple as he pressed a soft kiss against it – a usual gesture between you and the boys – before he pulled back to reveal his concerned features, glaring at you in slight confusion. He didn't need to ask what was wrong, he knew it immediately by the looks, you gave him after you allowed your facade to break once you recognised you weren't able to fool him.
“What has he done this time?” Was all he asked as he slipped one arm around your frame, pulling you along to the direction of your favourite café without tearing his dark-hued eyes from your devastated expression. And then you began telling him everything … that you've decided to give Wooyoung space the previous night, not contacting at all. That you wanted to surprise him with a small breakfast this morning to talk things out and simply relax after the most promotion was over for now. And that the situation turned out differently than you expected it.
Your talk lasted until you've arrived the small café you loved to spend your time together with your friends and especially Wooyoung. Throughout telling your story, San listened attentively, refraining from interrupting you – which you were thankful for. You noticed how his expression darkened as soon as you mentioned the stranger as if he was aware of something you weren't. But right now, you were far too emotional to recognise that little detail. Hell, you had to pull yourself together not to burst into tears in public for the third time within less than two days. However, San remained quiet about the girl. He didn't want to add salt to the wound since he knew about your insecurities far too well.
A deep grumble came from San's direction which eventually let your chin to raise and stare directly into his eyes, fingers firmly wrapped around the warm porcelain of your cup which offered you some pleasant warmth, making you feel all cosy despite your current condition.
“Who does he think he is, treating you like that?”, he huffed, keeping his voice low due to the other guests' presence though you could clearly hear from his voice how upset his best friend made him with his behaviour. Well, he was not the only one feeling that way. You let your shoulders roll into a short shrug, guiding the cup you've held securely between your palms towards your lips to let the hot liquid flow down your throat, shivering at the sudden warmth spreading through your whole body.
“I honestly don't know what to do, San. Everything seemed perfectly normal two days ago and now he's acting completely different towards me. Is he tired of me? Am I too boring for him? Have I done something to upset him?”, you began babbling, chewing on your lower lip nervously as you searched for a solid reason for your boyfriend's behaviour. Without any success.
You were still curious about who the girl was and why Wooyoung practised with her out of the blue. Usually, he told you about everything that was going on in his life since you were literally part of his life as well. He used to mention every small detail but what made him do not to mention this specific person? Was it because he thought you'd become jealous? Normally, you weren't the jealous type of person. If one of you was easily getting jealous or even little possessive it was Wooyoung. But right now, you couldn't help but feel how jealousy slowly crept upon you, yet you successfully kept it at bay.
San could sense your distress which lead him immediately to move closer to the table in order to reach out for your hand, placing his palm upon yours, giving it a comforting squeeze which got followed by a sympathetic smile which revealed his infamous dimples.
“If someone did something wrong it's clearly him. You know how he can be. But it definitely doesn't give him the right to treat you like that … you deserve better than that.” Upon that comment, you couldn't help but shoot him a saddened smile, squeezing his hand now in return. San had no idea how incredibly thankful you were for him being there for you. No one understood Wooyoung better than San, not even the other members. Their friendship was special and so you thought your relationship was but apparently something has gotten in between the both of you, trying to cut off the bond you shared.
“I might whip his ass if he doesn't apologise to you until tonight”, he eventually stated, his expression proving how serious he was about that. Giggling dryly about this comment, you shook your head in disapproval. “I've got this. If someone's whipping his ass, it's gonna be me. I'll keep your offer in mind, though”, you gave back in response, allowing the corners of your lips to twitch into a short, yet honest simper. Noticing the shift of your mood – even if it was only a little – caused your black-haired friend's dimples to deepen due to his smile which sneaked upon his lips and widened with each second that passed by.
“Thank you, San”, you whispered, intertwining your fingers with his to hold onto him just a little longer. You always knew you could count on him even when it was about his best friend.
What both of you didn't notice was that Wooyoung stood in front of the large glass windows, observing the situation from outside. His facial expression impressively darkened as he witnessed San and you holding hands and being far too close even for his taste.
“Woo, what are you waiting for?” A sudden feminine voice interrupted his observation, his head instantly snapping to the side where the voice was coming from. It was the same person with who he had practised earlier. A small female with dark hair and big, sparkling eyes. Impatiently, the smaller one waved in front of his face as he didn't respond to her.
“Let's go somewhere eating somewhere else, Chon-Hee”, he simply stated with no emotion as he sauntered off, being followed by a perplexed female seconds later. “Wha– why?” She urged to know, quickly picking up the pace with him, still being all puzzled about the sudden change of plans.
“She's there.”

Pt. 7
As expected, it was late when Seyoon wrapped up at work. Guerin told him she'd cook him something if he wanted to meet at her place. Opening her door she found a grinning Seyoon holding a backpack over his shoulder and looking like he hadn't bothered showering after dancing for hours. She found his eager rush endearing and opened her arms as an invitation to hug. He swept up to her, kicking the door shut with his foot since both his hands were occupied with wrapping around her.
"Hi." He said simply, nuzzling against her neck cutely.
"Hi Seyoonie." She laughed squirming against the tickle which caused him to hold her more tightly. When the two separated she patted his still damp hair, "You should take a shower, I'll make something for you."
"You don't like this?" He teased, shaking his hair toward her.
"Would you like me getting all snuggly after a workout?" She countered, pushing his head back playfully.
"Depends on the workout." He winked.
She choked on her surprised laugh at the insinuation and pushed him away for his own protection. One hand covering her mouth the other pointing to the bathroom, "Go shower!"
He beamed shamelessly but followed her order, "Try not to dwell on what's happening in here." He said before shutting the door quickly.
"Yeah right, I definitely won't." She yelled back. It was an absolute lie. She paused a moment, fingers tapping her lips distractedly before shaking her head and moving into the kitchen. She started some water to boil, pulled out a couple ramen packages and began playing some music to redirect her thoughts. She sang along and danced as she cooked up some chicken breast to go with the ramen. She was finishing setting the table when she heard the door to the bathroom open. Still dancing she spun to acknowledge Seyoon.
"Perfect timing! I-" she stopped talking. He was nonchalantly drying his hair, faded jeans low on his hips and fitted to his dancers legs but the most notable fashion choice was a button up shirt completely undone and exposing his torso. "Whaaaaaat are you doing?" She asked in english, completely forgetting Korean in her surprise.
"Are you okay?" He asked, clearly aware of what he was doing as he poorly feigned innocence, coming over the check the table, "Smells delicious Noona." He grinned at her.
She took his shirt and started buttoning it as her brain restarted and gave him a dark expression, "Kim Seyoon you might be a snack but maybe you should eat something before you torture me."
"I'm a snack?" He asked perplexed.
"It's english slang. It means you look delicious." She opted to leave a couple of his top buttons loose for her own enjoyment, unnecessarily smoothing his shirt across his shoulders.
"Hmmm." He looked at the table and stepped closer into her personal bubble, "it looks like you had something in mind. Are we just gonna eat ramen and go?" He continued teasingly.
She groaned and pushed him away from her as she turned her back on him "Kim Seyoon what are you thinking?"
He laughed and hugged her from behind, "I'm thinking I'm having fun with my girlfriend."
She ran her hands along his arms crossed in front of her until they rested on his hands, "You're gonna be the death of me." She tapped his hands to free herself, despite wanting very much to stay, "Let's feed you first then we can discuss ramen." Guerin said offhandedly.
Seyoon hesitated, grinned then sat across from her as she began serving him. They discussed the rest of their day with each other while they ate, Seyoon filling her in on the meeting with A.C.E and Jun's declaration, and Guerin talking about meeting with HEET. Once they had finished Seyoon insisted on helping with dishes and the two worked without much conversation, Guerin singing along quietly to the music that was still playing lowly.
"I like it when you sing, Noona." Seyoon said, drying the last dish. She glanced at him from the corner of her eye with a wry smile. "I mean it. It's cute." He pinched her cheek.
She scrunched her face for a moment in response then relaxed into her normal smile.
"I like singing. I'm not great at it but I really love music a lot. Being a manager is one of the ways I can have that as a part of my life." She walked to the couch with him following and sat facing him with one foot tucked under her. Seyoon nodded but didn't feel a need to respond. The two sat comfortably quiet for a moment as they digested before Guerin reached her hand out and carefully met his fingers with hers, leaning sideways into the couch as he allowed her to take his hand.
"I really had no idea you liked me." Guerin said with a happy smile as she played with his fingers, finding his hands endearingly small for the rest of his frame. "When did that start?" She asked curiously.
"When we arm wrestled." Seyoon responded. "At least, that was when I was sure."
She let out a surprised laugh, "No way! That's hilarious."
Seyoon laughed too, gripping her hand and pulling her toward him into his arms. She automatically shifted to lean against him, laying her head against his shoulder comfortably as she sighed. "Is it really so funny? That I'd like a strong, fun woman that compliments me?" He asked.
She laughed again, "I knew it, it was the compliment. You just want me to inflate your ego."
"Like a balloon." He responded, then mimed his head blowing up by puffing out his cheeks and widening his eyes. She laughed and poked his cheeks, forcing the air out which he chose to turn and blow into her face. Guerin cringed, a small surprised exhale of laughter coming from her nose. He snuck a kiss to her forehead affectionately, softening her up.
"When did you start liking me?" Seyoon asked curiously.
She paused, "I think in the coffee shop when we were messing around was when it started. Definitely by the time we ate on the rooftop together. But I never planned to act on it."
"Why not?" Seyoon asked, perplexed.
"I mean, dating an idol? That's something no one should bank on. I was happy just being friends with all five of you." She said. He nodded silently with her response, his hand behind her moving to stroke idly at her ear and neck like a gentle tickling massage.
"We really should talk about how this is going to work out..." Guerin sighed, "But honestly tonight I just want to relax and have fun."
Seyoon nodded in agreement.
"So tonight... do you want to..." she trailed off, tracing Seyoon's shirt along the buttons temptingly. He felt his pulse quicken and his breath faltered before she continued, "...Play some video games? I have some classic consoles! Or just my switch!" She sat up straight to fully see his expression.
His eyes scrunched shut and his classic smile erupted across his face as he realized she had chosen that phrasing on purpose. "Noonaaaa." He whined, "Why did you do that to meeee?" He reached for her to pull her toward him again but Guerin had gotten up to turn on the TV.
"Do what?" She asked innocently, "Ask to play video games? Gosh you're acting like I walked out of the bathroom shirtless or something."
"Noonaaaaaa." He whined again flopping against the couch and she laughed at his tantrum.
A busy week had passed. Guerin hadn't been able to meet up with Seyoon again as he was busy working on a fan project with Jun on top of their normal work schedule, and Guerin had been to court several times as the prosecutor had finally pressed charges. Guerins part was done and she took her first bit of free time to meet up with Charlie. The two women had met at a cafe for coffee and were meandering along a pretty road by the han river in the afternoon light. She had just finished filling Charlie in on her evening with Seyoon.
"After all that you... played video games?" Charlie asked in disbelief.
Guerin nodded, red lips on her straw as she avoided eye contact, knowing what was coming.
Charlie switched to English, "You're telling me that smokin hottie was barely dressed and your response was to -fully clothe him- and play -video games-?"
Guerin nodded again and cleared her throat, still staring off into nothing, "I left a couple top buttons undone." She responded also in english.
"Listen. My friend. My eunnie. I know you. I've heard stories. Stories -you- have told me. I need you to connect the dots between the friend in those stories and the friend that spent an evening with her boyfriend and didn't even make out." Charlie demanded.
"I- well. We just started dating." Guerin started hopelessly. Charlie's knowing look based on her knowledge of Guerin's history caused her to sigh and continue, "It's kinda those stories too. I've not had to worry about being an idol to slow me down, add on five years experience and... I guess I don't want to rush him."
Charlie's face softened at the confession, the pieces clicking together, "Well the two of you are going to need to talk about it eventually."
"I know. I just really needed a stress free night. And maybe after a talk like that there would be less stress," she couldn't help an immature smile at the comment, "But getting there through that discussion is in and of itself is stressful."
"That makes sense." Charlie sipped her drink, appeased by her friends explanation.
"What about you and Jun?" Guerin asked playfully, nudging Charlie.
"We... ah...." she blushed and he was her turn to avoid eye contact, "We've gotten further than you two. But um... no home run if you know what I mean." Guerin cackled until Charlie shoved her and they both laughed in earnest. They switched back to korean as the conversation continued.
"So have you been keeping track of commentary from netizens over your dating and court stuff?" Charlie asked.
"Hmmm, a little." Guerin shrugged, "Of course internationally there seems to be a lot of support. I've been referenced as the woman 'living the y/n life'. Within korea it seems most Joule's have made a 180 over the legal issue which makes me hopeful. Most Choice seem pretty okay with Wow dating but don't understand why me. It's honestly better than I expected." She turned the question to Charlie, "I did notice more people seem to like you with Jun though! Have you been keeping up?"
Charlie opened her mouth to respond but a large coffee drink landed square on Charlie's chest, soaking her and splattering Guerin. Guerin stepped in front of Charlie, looking quickly to see who had thrown the drink when she caught sight of a young girl, most likely in her early teens, fuming at the two foreign women. People nearby had turned to see what had happened.
"Are you okay Charlie?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the girl.
"Yeah, I'm fine, it wasn't too hot." She sounded shaken despite her words.
"Okay. Let's go." Guerin broke eye contact with the aggressor, took her friend by the shoulder and began walking away briskly, keeping Charlie slightly in front of her, "Our best bet is to just get out of here as soon as possible." Charlie nodded as she walked along.
"YAH! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" The teenager screamed and began rushing after the two women. Guerin sighed, plan A didn't seem like it was going to work.
"Charlie, stay behind me. She isn't big enough to do real damage without a weapon and I think that drink was her biggest threat. Whatever happens don't get involved." Guerin's naturally happy expression had turned cold and serious as she turned back to the girl.
"Say what you need to so we can go."
"You think you can ruin my families reputation and then brainwash an idol into dating you and we'll be fine with it? You're just some stupid, fat, old foreigner you can't come into our country and ruin our lives like this." The girl spit venomously.
"I don't know you or your family." Guerin responded matter of factly.
"My sister! You got her arrested and now she's going to jail and it's your fault." The girls eyes filled with tears as she yelled. Guerin couldn't help but feel sympathetic. She was losing her sister, the things said online had been cruel once the video had been released by the police. It was easy to believe that the family had borne some of the brunt of social shame.
"I'm sorry." Guerin said. The girl paused in shock and she felt Charlie shift in surprise behind her, "I was trying to protect people that are important to me. I didn't want anyone to get hurt."
"Well we did!" The girl started again but Guerin interrupted.
"If you need someone to hate you can hate me. Your sister was wrong in her actions, but you and your family should not have to suffer. I'm sorry that you have." Her words were soft but scolding, and the girl instinctively looked to the ground, her fists clenched and eyes angry but less so than before, "Just now you attacked my friend, you've insulted us. We may be foreigners but we are your elders and like it or not we are a part of your community. You can blame me and hate me all you want. I understand. But you cannot channel than anger into violence without consequences. Can you imagine if we had called the police? What would your parents suffer with if two of their children had legal issues due to violent behavior?"
The girls head drooped further and tears fell from her eyes as she rubbed them with her fists.
"You must love your family so much." Guerin moved forward until she was right in front of the girl, "Seeing them suffer must be the hardest thing you've ever had to endure. You've got to think carefully about your actions if you're going to heal with them, or that pain will grow." Guerin handed held out a small packet of tissues from her purse. The girl glared at them, at Guerin, then took the tissues angrily, wiping her tears and nose.
"How did you find us? Will you tell me?" Guerin asked quietly.
"It was chance. I saw you and recognized you. I got... I got so mad seeing you smiling and happy when eunnie is- while we-" the teenager broke out into sobs and Guerin let her take a moment. She was relieved it hadn't been someone leaking info on their whereabouts. Guerin rested her hand on the girls head after hesitating a moment. She flinched under her hand but didn't pull away. Giving a comforting pat she dropped her hand.
"You can keep the tissues. We're going to leave now." Guerin turned her back, seeing Charlie who still looked a bit shaken but sympathetic. Guerin blinked away the tears in her eyes, unable to help feeling badly about the circumstances.
"I still hate you!" The young girl yelled after them. Charlie glanced back, then to Guerin who didn't stop moving. The two women didn't speak until they reached their bus stop.
"It's not your fault you know that right?" Charlie said, plucking at her ruined shirt in disappointment.
"Yes. Logically I know that. But it's still sad."
Charlie nodded, then leaned her head against her friends shoulder, "You're kind of a badass but you're the squishiest marshmallow in existence, you know that?"
Guerin wrinkled her nose, "Marshhhmaallooww." She sang the iconic Xiumin line, making Charlie giggle before falling into chuckles herself.
Tumblr media
Seyoon sent Guerin the link then tucked his phone away. He glanced up at Jun who had been texting Charlie. Unlike Seyoon his concern had melted into a smile. Wow watched him curiously until Jun closed his phone and looked up to see his teammate watching him.
"Ah," Jun coughed, "How is Guerin?"
"She said she is fine. Charlie?" Seyoon asked.
"She's fine too. She said her shirt was ruined so I'm thinking of buying her a new one. I was going to head over tonight." Jun's complete lack of poker face was evident as he pretended to look down at his phone and clean the screen, ears red and a small smile tugging the corners of his lips.
"Have you..." Seyoon faltered and thought about his phrasing, "Have the two of you..." his thoughts didnt help and he ended with a shrug and eyebrow raise.
"Hyung!" Jun feigned insult, putting a hand over his chest.
"Ah." Seyoon nodded, reading the unspoken No loud and clear.
"I mean we've- well we uhmm..." Jun stammered, now the one suffering with word choice was him, "We've done other stuff. She likes to uhhh... grab my butt and then we've..." his words failed him too, "It leads to more things and... I mean it's only been a week so... wait why are you asking?"
Seyoon shrugged and stood up to head back to the dance room.
"Wait hyung! Have you and Guerin not...?" Jun trailed off, the sentence finishing itself for both of them mentally.
Seyoon shook his head, "We've been busy."
"I'm surprised. I'd have thought she'd be more into that." Jun mused. Seyoon raised an eyebrow at the insinuation, causing Jun to start to backpedal and explain he meant no offense before Seyoon laughed him off.
"I thought so too, honestly. Maybe I'm not as sexy as I think."
"Yeah that's definitely the problem." Jun rolled his eyes.
"I'm going to see her tonight to make sure she's okay. Whenever we do... that... can be something for later. I just want to make sure she's okay today." He started toward the dance room.
"Didn't she say she was fine?" Jun asked.
"She probably meant physically." Seyoon said over his shoulder. Jun was left perplexed.
Guerin had called Jisoo and went straight the PWER offices after getting Charlie home and changing. She hadn't even left when Seyoon sent the article. It had only been a few hours and already something was up. She hadn't seen anyone recording but at a place as picturesque as the Han River people always had phones and cameras out.
The article included some still photos oh the altercation, the drink hitting Charlie, the girl chasing the two as they tried to leave, Guerin handing tissues to the girl and eventually them leaving. Guerin was grateful that because the girl was a minor she had been blurred out so she couldnt be identified. Attached to the article was a video of the altercation, also edited. Whoever had been recording seemed to have been following Guerin and Charlie which gave her chills. The only talking that could be heard was when the girl had been shouting but the rest that contained any identifying details was lost due to the distance of the videographer.
As soon as the clip ended she sent the link to Charlie and Jisoo, then turned and headed back to the CEO's office with a sigh. Knocking on the door, Jisoo called her in. As Guerin closed the door behind her she saw her boss finish watching the video clip with an unreadable expression. Guerin sat in a chair opposite her and waited quietly while Jisoo scrolled through the rest of the article and comments. Finally she closed her phone, rested her head in her hand and stared at Guerin.
"This is actually pretty good." Jisoo quirked a brow and smiled. Guerin leaned her head back surprised and exhausted. "I mean it. Have you read the comments?"
"It's usually better for my mental health for me to avoid comment sections." Guerin said to the ceiling before dropping her head back down to look at Jisoo. "But you think it's good?"
"Sure. There's some of the usual naysayers but by and large you appear sympathetic and patient. A lot of people are really impressed. And given this is a second piece of video evidence of you being targeted with violence it's even started some dialogue about prejudices that foreigners face." Jisoo gestured vaguely, "It would be best if this didn't keep happening consistently but honestly you comforted a child that harassed you physically and verbally."
"She's just a kid. She was upset, what was I supposed to do?" Guerin shrugged.
"Some people would have smacked her around to teach her a lesson. She was disrespectful." Jisoo saw Guerin cringe, "I know, you don't like that. Which I really think made people impressed."
Guerin felt embarrassed. She didn't think she had done anything praiseworthy, "I think the biggest thing that bothers me is that while the kid found us by chance there was someone following and recording us."
"Welcome to dating an idol." Jisoo said matter of factly, "Get used to it. Just keep in mind someone could always be watching. You can join HEET in some of their behavior classes if you want. And we can look into security if you feel unsafe."
"Maybe the classes won't hurt but I think security at this point might be unnecessary." Guerin smiled.
"Okay. You already said you don't want to press charges so we can drop it. We'll write up a statement but coordinate with PR on the message. Also... about being a manager again..." Jisoo hesitated and Guerin held her breath and waited, "I think we can start planning on getting you back in. We'll keep Woojin on as an assistant I think. Your reputation seems to have increased their popularity. You even have fans of your own calling for you to return, saying you're their best protector."
Guerin leapt up, fists in the air, "Are you serious? I can get back to my boys??" Jisoo had startled at the sudden motion and laughed at her friends big response.
"Yes I think so. We can get you on it again within a few days. Don't tell them just yet, I want to be there when they find out. I'll tell Woojin as well. I'm sure he'll be happy to be offered a permanent position."
"Jisoooooo!" Guerin crooned, beaming with tears pricking at her eyes. She moved around and patted her friends head, kissing the top of it before hugging her tightly.
Jisoo struggled unconvincingly, "Yah, don't treat your boss like this."
Guerin squeezed her harder, grinning, "Boss I love youuuuuu."

Okay so, first of all, I love the way you write! Second: I've had this idea in my mind for months but I can't write at all so I though maybe you would like to: Kaito disguising (?) himself as Hatori so he can spend a day with Shinichi without revealing his identity?
Sure!  Let’s see how it goes!  ;D  (Under the readmore!)
Shinichi frowned down at his phone.  “You want to meet up?” he asked, perplexed.
“Yeah, are you free?  I got two tickets to Tropical Land, wanna come?” Hattori asked.
Shinichi pondered the request for probably too long.  Hattori usually just came over when he wanted to hang out.  The last time he’d called ahead was probably a year ago.  Shinichi frowned.
“Do you… want something from me?” he asked.  “You’re acting weird.”
“What, I can’t want to hang out with my best friend?” Hattori asked.  He sounded either petulant or defensive.  Shinichi couldn’t tell over the phone.  “C’mon, man, don’t leave me hangin’.”
Shinichi sighed.  “Yeah, okay.  But when our day out is ruined, just remember: you invited me instead of Kazuha.”
He laughed, but Shinichi wasn’t joking.
Something was wrong.  Shinichi had never spent so much time with Hattori without someone dying.  Every single time they hung out together, something horrible happened nearby.
Shinichi jumped at every scream, even when he could tell they were the fun kind and not the being-killed-horribly kind.  He kept trying to relax, but nothing really worked.
Hattori frowned at him.  “You know what you need?” he asked.  Shinichi tilted his head in question.  “Ice cream,” he answered.  “I’ll go get us some, okay?  Wait here.”
Shinichi sat down on the bench in question.
His phone vibrated.  One new message from… Hattori?  But Hattori didn’t have his phone out.
Hattori:  dude i think someone was hidin my phone frm me?????Shinichi:  What do you mean?Hattori:  i thought i left it by my bed to charge but this morning it was gone!!?Hattori:  found it in a cereal box??? why would i put it there even accidentally??Shinichi:  That’s certainly strange.  You’re home right now?Hattori:  yea obvsHattori:  y?Shinichi:  No reason.  It’s good you found it, anyway.Hattori:  yeah srsly, if i missed any more texts i thnk kazuha woulda killed me OTLShinichi:  Haha, lucky you, then.  Talk to you later?  I’m in the middle of something.Hattori:  yea good luck with “something” lol
“Hattori” smiled as he approached, an ice cream cone in each hand.  He handed Shinichi the mint chip one.  Shinichi frowned down at it, more puzzled than he already was.
“Mint chip?” he asked.  “Hattori” (probably fake) was holding one with chocolate.
“Yeah?” Probably Fake Hattori looked confused.  “It’s your favorite, right?”
“Well, yeah,” Shinichi muttered, “but how did you know?”
Probably Fake Hattori froze.  “I’m a detective?” he tried.
“Sure, you could have noticed, but we’ve never gotten ice cream together,” Shinichi lied.  “So how could you know?”
Definitely Fake Hattori floundered.  “I, uh–saw you out with Sis?”
“Uh-huh.”  Shinichi licked at the drips on his cone, eyes trained on him.  Really, for something this harmless, there was only one suspect.  “So, when did you hide Hattori’s phone?  Last night or this morning?”
He sighed.  “Nothing gets past you, huh, Meitantei?”  As expected.  That voice was definitely Kaitou Kid.  Shinichi relaxed.
“You were a fairly convincing Hattori, I’ll grant you, but he’s normally more pushy and forward than you’ve been.”  Shinichi took another lick of his ice cream and patted the seat beside him.  “To what do I owe the amusement park ticket, Kid?”
Kid sat down beside him.  “It’s a little embarrassing,” he said, scratching the back of his neck.  “Honestly, I just wanted to hang out with you.”
Shinichi gaped at him.
“I can’t give you my identity, and I don’t know you as my civilian self, so a disguise was the best option I had.”  Kid leaned back, eating his ice cream.  “I thought about borrowing one of your other friends, but I didn’t want you to think it was a date with your Ms. Mouri, Ms. Suzuki frightens me and doesn’t spend any one on one time with you, and your other friends are mostly children and adult police officers.  So, Hattori it was.”
Shinichi rolled his eyes.  “How about this, next time you want to hang out, just use some generic disguise and make up a name for me to call you.  That way you won’t have to hide my friends’ phones.”
Kid turned to face him.  “Next time?”  He smiled, eyes bright.
“I’ve been having a lot of fun today.”  Shinichi shrugged.  “Don’t tell Hattori, but you’re more fun to hang out with.  Not to mention, your luck is significantly better than his.”
Kid beamed.  “Give me your phone.”  Shinichi handed it over, unconcerned.  “Obviously I already have your number, obviously, so I’m giving you the number to one of my burner phones.  That way you can text me whenever.”
“Thanks,” Shinichi said, smiling.  He was going to say something else, but first, “Kid, your ice cream…!”
“My…?”  Kid glanced down, and startled when he saw the drips creeping over the edge of his cone.  He licked them all up quickly, before turning back to Shinichi.  Before he could saying anything, he darted forward, licking the back of Shinichi’s cone.  When he pulled back, there was a bit of ice cream still on his lip.
Shinichi’s face felt hot.  Did that count as an indirect kiss?  He kind of hoped it did.
“Sorry, yours was dripping, and that was my first instinct.”  Kid may have been wearing a mask, but his expression was appropriately sheepish and embarrassed.  “That was probably a weird first instinct.  I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine,” Shinichi mumbled.  He took another bite of ice cream.  “Thank you.”  If that was an indirect kiss, did this count as a date?  Did he want it to count?  He thought he might, but did Kid?  He couldn’t ask, could he?
“When we finish our ice cream, do you want to go on the big roller-coaster again?” Kid asked.
“Sounds good,” Shinichi said.  He took another bite of ice cream.  Silence fell between them, but Shinichi only felt a little uncomfortable.
“I didn’t think you’d actually want to spend time with me if you knew I was Kid.”
Shinichi shot him a small smile.  “You’re my precious rival,” he teased, “why wouldn’t I want to hang out with you?”
“I’m a thief?”
“Doesn’t stop Hakuba.”
Kid’s nose wrinkled.  “He hates me, what are you talking about?”
“Yeah, Hattori thinks he’s my rival, too,” Shinichi said, reading between the lines.  “He’s a bit shouty, and he tends to put his foot in his mouth, but he’s still one of my best friends.”  Shinichi gave Kid a significant look.  “I’ve spoken to Hakuba at a heist before.  You may be able to fool other people, even each other, but you can’t fool me.”
Kid glanced around, like he was checking for eavesdroppers.  “You can never tell him.  He’ll make fun of me forever.”
Shinichi mimed zipping his mouth shut.  “Your secret’s safe with me, Kid.”
“I know,” he said.  “I trust you.”
Next time, Shinichi decided, he was going to make sure their “outing” was a date.  Kid didn’t seem like he would be against it, if the way he watched Shinichi’s mouth was anything to go by.  Still, he wished they could hold hands while they walked around.  That would be nice.
Next time, he’d at least try.  He had Kid’s trust, but he couldn’t help himself.  He wanted more.  He supposed he was like his parents in that way; there was no real middle ground once he decided what he wanted.
He wanted Kid.
