100 days of Headcanons || Day 14: Work
((yay, more modern takes))
Maria Thorpe
To go along with canon, she might have worked at Abstergo doing /something/ maybe she worked just under Vedic? Maybe she was the one that sent the anon message to Vedic, saying they would tell anyone who listened?
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Again, he would have went straight into the army. then maybe taken a job in law enforcement or in an area useful to the Assassin’s.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
After college, if he didn’t go straight into the army afterwards, might have taken on freelancing jobs and probably sought after for work from the Assassin’s.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 13: College
((again, a more modern take on things? I don’t think she went to college in her time, given she was forced to marry when she turned 18 and the kids... again are Assassin’s lol.))
Maria Thorpe
I’m not sure is she would have gone to College or not? Probably? really depending on what she ended up doing as a career. If anything, her parents forced her to go she she might have went for a few things that could be useful? maybe business degree? So she could be CEO of something? or any degree that would make her big money and be tied to Abstergo lol
Darim Ibn la’ahad
((I like to think that during his time, because he ends up living in Alexandrea with Sefs family and adopts his fathers thirst for knowledge to a degree, he might have found evidence of the hidden one in text form and learned how to be even more affective with the bow? Such as firing more then one arrow at once.))
Darim might have skipped College to go straight into the army, preferring to have combat, weapon skills over book smarts.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef would gone to College for IT and then maybe got killed while in the Army. Probably during a weird freak accident of friendly fire or at least because of a teammate.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 8: Loss
Maria Thorpe
I feel Robert de Sables death might have it her hard at one point. Dismayed that the Assassin managed to kill him and enraged that the King had allowed it to happen in front of him and allowed his killer to walk free but despite knowing Robert was an ambitious man, she might not ahve been aware that he was conspiring against the King, which is why she would later agree his death was just. She might have mourned his death but the lost of her creditability in the Templar order because she was a woman and her chance at knighthood eventually shattered her confidence of ever gaining back that respect when the Archive on Cyprus crumbled but by that time, she no longer agreed what the Templars stood for and gave up.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Learning of Malik's’, Sef’s and his mother’s death was probably hard to shallow but given the time and moment. He and his father trying to make their escape from Masyaf and not having time to fully grasp or understand what had fully transpired. At the time, he was focused on wanting to make their killers pay for what they’ve did but seeing his father break down in his grave probably drove home how powerless and helpless they really were. Seeing his parent break down and cry likely made him cry too.
In his father’s suffering, Sef’s family couldn’t bare it and decided it would be safer to move to Alexandrea, given the Mongolian threat looming in the distance. Leaving Darim to try and console his fathers grief alone. With his father’s renewed obsession's with the Apple, him seemingly often forgetting his mother was dead, by calling out for her and asking where she was, till he remembered or realized / told she was gone, only for that grief to be renewed.
After a year of trying to help console his father, I imagine he would have grown a little spiteful and jaded, knowing this wasn’t how the Assassins acted, that if he could mourn and grown pass the loss of his brother and mother. His father should have been able to by now, not fully understanding how deep his fathers wound really went. Likely on the advice from others who were there to witness Altair's suffering as well, Darim would be driven away as well, sadden at the loss of his brother, mother and now father, expecting him to pass soon, be it by grief, sickness or just old age, given Altair was 63 at the time and was lost to what he saw was madness.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
I don't think Sef experienced much loss in his life, at least nothing significantly close to his heart. Maybe a friend to a mission or one of the elders that helped train him to either sickness or old age.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 11: Destiny
((kind of lucky and unlucky to already know their destiny’s so a quickie lol.))
Maria Thorpe
To Marry the Mentor of the Assassins and jokingly become Queen of the Assassins. Raise to beautiful boys and be tragically murdered / kill by mistake by Abbas easily controlled pawn Swami.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
To become a fraction of what his father is, make a name for himself as his father did and carry on his fathers creed while taking care of his late brothers family.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
I feel like Sef might have strived to be the next Mentor but then feel in love and raised two girls, Ironically like his father did before he was murdered by Swami, being told it was on his fathers order. Which I highly doubt he would have believed (if even told), given his parents hadn’t returned and might have been presumed dead, given there long absence away from home

100 days of Headcanons ||  Day 10: Clothes
((Seeing as in their time, all of them being with the assassin’s they didn’t have much and preferred being simplistic. Maria might have the most clothing but not by much, keeping with her normal attire, be it templar or assassin. The boys would be the same, meager clothing till they started their assassin’s training and then remained in those clothing unless it was necessary for them to be in something else.
So taking a more modern take on their clothing. styles would very depending if they are Assassin’s or just normal people and what class they fell into, successful / poor. I feel like Maria would likely be the more disapproving parent when it came to how they all might dress.))
Maria Thorpe
In true Maria fashion, skirts and and dresses are pretty much out of the question. So unless she's deciding to steal whatever her husband wears to lounge in around the house in, the clothing she has, she aims to look good in.
1 2 3 4 5 Bonus. Don’t make her wear a dress. she is this bitch. She’ll aim to out shine and because it will likely be a wedding setting, she's going to wear white.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
I feel like Darim would probably dress to be more ‘edge’ wanting to push limits and stand out.
1 2 3 4 5
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Much like his mother, he’d dress to impress.
1 2 3 4 5

100 days of Headcanons || Day 9: Desire
Maria Thorpe
Maria’s desire was always to find honor and glory while she came very close to getting knighthood and achieving that desire. Her falling madly in love with someone, marrying them and raising a family was something she never thought possible but wouldn’t dream of having it any other way.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim’s desire is to be like this father or even a fraction of it. He wants to be admired by his peers but have the humble heart to not let it go to his head. He wants to see other brotherhoods and maybe even establish his own like his Father did.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Much like his brother, he also wishes to be like his father and follow in his footsteps. Little did he imagine he’d be the one that ended up falling in love and raising a family.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 7: Hope
Maria Thorpe
Maria’s hope were to find honor and glory, which shifted too wanting to travel and see the world, which shifted to hopping to find a place where she belonged and finally hopping to watch her family grow.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Much like his mother, he hoped to one day travel to see the world and other brotherhoods. He hoped to always be by his family side and bring honor and glory to his family and creed.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef always hoped to be like his father and mother but soon found himself in love with another. There his only hope was that his own family would grow up safe and hoped his daughters would also grow as passionate about he creed as he was.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 6: Weakness
Maria Thorpe
I think Maria’s weakness was in her youth and her unwillingness to change, diving head first into things she might not have fully understood at the time. Her desperation to not be made out as some simpleton woman lead her to be used by someone who saw her as nothing more then a pawn that was easily controlled with a ring and a rank. Maria was willing to give up her life for Robert and their cause because he didn’t write off her ‘impressive for a woman’ skills but once she learned of the Templars true intentions and learned the other Templars didn’t share the same sympathies as Robert did for her, she lost the devotion she once had to find honor and glory.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim’s weakness would be his stubbornness and temper. While he might hold a lot of patience, his fathers depression and own stubbornness lead him to abandon him to so what he felt was right for the Creed despite wanting to take revenge for that happened a year prior. However instead of turning his eyes on Masyaf, he instead left to warn the brotherhood in England and France before joining Sef family in Alexandra.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef weakness might have been his confidence. Wondering if he was living up to his parent expectations, wondering if he was as capable of an assassin’s like his father, mother and brother. He compared himself to be the weakest of the family but not one of his family every expressed the idea of him needed to be better, having accomplished the missions he was asked to do.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 4: Smile
Maria Thorpe
Once Maria joined the Assassin’s, she had very little reason not to smile. Altair gave her a life that she strived for. One that she wasn’t reduced to being a simply a woman but one with equal respect, so much so that at first, it often surprised her. She had, in fact, tried to killed Altair several times, successfully escaping him and his friends, remaining loyal to the Templars but after learning of their true intentions and being something she was very much against, was soon defeated and felt lost.
Despite all this, saving her when he could have left her to die and knowing the passion Altair held for his Creed, he still expressed interest in following her to the ends of the earth. When given the option, she agreed to return to Masyaf with him. There, they became inseparable and those who held respect for Altair would soon also end up holding respect for her, even in Altair’s short absence from her side in 1204. (possibly because she was pregnant with Darim at the time?)
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim grew up very happy. He had parents that loved him, friends that admired him, a brother that gave him nieces and a life he wouldn’t give up for all the gold in the world. Even with it’s hardships, the world feeling like it had fallen to pieces in an instance and feeling like he has lost everything. He fell back on what his parents and the Creed had taught him, doing what he felt was right after the events in Masyaf. It might have taken 20 years but after learning his father took back control of his homeland, he didn’t hesitate to return once again to see his father for the last time, agreeing to take his fathers books back with him. From then, he would look back on his life with fond memories until his last breath.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef also grew up to be a very happy child and while he didn’t make much of a name for himself, falling in love and having two girls of his own were the highlights of his life. Because Sef would often fall under the radar of being an average assassin, Sef was anything but average, being highly aware of his surrounds, he was aware if the dealings and attitudes against his father rein. While he might not of expected a coup and sometimes wondered if he was truly living up to his fathers expectations of him, Swami lie would not ring true, knowing his parents better then that and taking his last breath laughing at the idea his father ordered his death.

100 days of Headcanons ||   Day 3: Dreams
Maria Thorpe
From a young age, Maria wanting something more then the hand she was dealt. The older she got the more she wanted it and after living a life she hated for four years, she left to pursue honor and glory. She might not have gotten it in the way she imagined but she did achieve her dream more then once.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim dream was to make a name for himself much like his father did at a young age but unlike his father, he did not have to disgrace himself first to achieve it. Be it natural skill and years of training to refine it, Darim became an expert bowmen. Much like his Mother and learning how far their Brotherhood reached he wished to travel to far off places. While he also achieved his dreams, the circumstances in which he did would not be something he considered ideal.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef only wanted nothing more then to make his parents proud of him, which for the most part, he hopped he accomplished. His mother and father never expressed him wishing to be something more then what he was despite marrying young and having two daughters of his own.

100 days of Headcanons ||  Day 2: Family
Maria Thorpe
Maria doesn’t look back fondly on the life she once had in Leicester. She showed little interest in growing up as a noble woman and once she turned 18 and was forced to marry, only made her that much more passionate to hate the lifestyle. When she finally got annulment, she left England to seek honor and glory in the crusaders, disguised as a solider.
This eventually caught the attention of Robert de Sablé, the current grandmaster of the Templar Knights. He made Maria his personal steward and while she didn’t always share his believes, she was willing to do anything for him, even if it meant forfeiting her life for him. At one point, she way given a ring, which she would later go on to cherish as her last remaining link to the life she had with the templars.
That life was cut short when Robert was assassinated by Altair and with his death, so did the respect the Templars once had with her. Once again Maria was reminded that she lived in a mans world and The Grandmaster who replaced Robert did not hold her in such high regards, abandoning her in Arce. Despite being taken captive several times by several different people, including Altair, and escaping each time to warn the Grandmaster, being a woman and it being unbelievable that she escaped the assassin’s twice, she was deemed untrustworthy. After learning and seeing the the Templars ambitions were not something she deemed good for humanity, she tried killing the grandmaster, only to be knocked out. Altair then swooped in, killing the grandmaster instead and escaped with Maria as the templar archive they were in collapsed.
Being at a loss of that to do and everything she worked for feeling meaningless, she wanted to travel to India or as far as the worlds edge while Altair wanted to return to Masyaf and study the apple. However, Altair expressed interest in joining her, to twice she ended up returning to Masyaf with him. They would later marry and have two children together.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim definitely took after his mother and father in the aspect of working hard and being ambitious in his own way, becoming a skilled bowmen. He might of had his far share of love interests in his time but the Creed for him always came first and after the murder of his younger brother he did take time to care for his younger brothers family, as well as his father but Altair's depressions proved to be to much for Sef’s family, moving away to Alexandra. Darim a year later was also driven away, taking some time to visit England and France to warn the brotherhood of the Mongolian army before settling with Sef’s family in Alexandrea
Sef Ibn la’ahad
As mentioned, Sef grew up in the way of the assassin but didn’t have anything to big on ambitions. In terms of missions, unless his father absolutely required him to leave for long periods of time, he tended to take the smaller missions, which allowed him to stay close Masyaf and in turn fall in love with his later to be wife and raise two girls on his own before his untimely death.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 12: School
((Schools a little hard? Maria comes from nobility so she would have some kind of schooling? and the Assassins don't necessarily have a school system but they are far from dumb. Trained in the art of fighting and having real world skills. so another weird modern take.))
Maria Thorpe
She might have became a ringleader of a group you really didn’t want to mess with. Seeing as she’d likely use her looks to her advantage before fighting very dirty.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim somehow ends up being in the bad crowed but is often the one that talks them out of doing bad stuff, finding more creative and legal solutions to get back at someone.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Likely the hot but often over looked quiet nerd.

100 days of Headcanons || Day 5: Strength
Maria Thorpe
Maria’s strength highly lies in her will and determination. When she’s passionate enough about something, there is nothing that will get between her and her goal, not even her husband but because she quickly learn Altair had a very similar mindset as her own they quickly learned what battles where worth fighting each other over and which to trend lightly on. In turn, because of the mutual respect they held for each other, fights where often at a minimum.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim strength is his confidences and understanding. He quickly learned he was good with his aim and reflexes but never let the idea of being over confident get to his head. His father and who he would call uncle had quickly put that in check. While his friends would admire him, because of that, he often encourages others to get better and never set out to brag about his skills.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef strength lies with his quiet and sometimes passive nature. Where his brother might have been quick to fight, Sef was more diplomatic, preferring to use his words then his fists. Because he was often quite, he sometimes went unnoticed by others, giving him the ability to eavesdrop on conversations and become rather skilled at it. Sef would be the one to first question his parents about the apple before taking them both a side later in life and explaining the dangers of it.

100 days of Headcanons ||  Day 1: Childhood
Maria Thorpe
Maria was an English noble woman who’s future was practically set in stone to live the traditional Noblewoman's life. A life that she hated and fought often against. Much to her parents disapprovals, she was always boyish and dressed in tomboy fashion to the point that her parents would punish her and peers would make fun of her. She was forced to marry when she turned 18 and after four years and her disinterest in the duties of a châtelaine, they got devoiced. She soon left to join the crusaders and follow in her dreams of honor and glory by disguise herself as a soldier.
Darim Ibn la’ahad
Darim’s grew up under two very loving parents. Regardless of what they’re doing, or how busy they are, he never remembered a time when he wasn’t either brought along with them or left in Malik's care for a long period of time.
Much likes his father, his assassin training began at an early age and much like his father and mother, he was eager to learn, becoming as ambitious, driven, and as stubborn as his parents. Being a quick learner, he could easily tell how far he could go to get away with something and when it was time to sit and obey, not wanting to risk their wrath or shame the family.
Sef Ibn la’ahad
Sef being the youngest son is far more laid back and quiet then his older brother. Where Darim was more rambunctious in wanting his parents attention, Sef was quite content being near them. Whether it was following his mother around or sitting on his father lap while he read through countless scrolls. Much like this brother, he was raised in the assassin’s traditions but where Darim focused far harder on his training, becoming an expert bowmen, Sef got married at a young age, raising two daughters of his own.
