According to the BOC, the seized items will be disposed of in accordance with prevailing Customs laws, rules, and regulations.

Simultaneously, the ten crew members of the jungkung were apprehended and subsequently handed over to the Sasa Police Station in Davao City. The police will proceed with the necessary booking procedures and file appropriate charges against the suspects.
Commitment to Combating Illegal Activities
Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio reaffirmed the BOC's unwavering commitment to combating illegal activities and safeguarding the safety and security of the citizens. Commissioner Rubio emphasized that this latest seizure serves as a testament to the BOC's dedication to disrupting the illegal tobacco trade and protecting communities from its harmful effects.
Previous Successful Interception
Prior to this operation, the BOC achieved another significant victory against the illicit tobacco trade. On July 8, the BOC intercepted smuggled cigarettes worth approximately PHP7.3 million at the Zamboanga port.   Continuous Efforts to Protect Communities Commissioner Rubio assured the public that the BOC will continue to work tirelessly in its mission to disrupt the illegal tobacco trade. By doing so, they aim to safeguard communities from the harmful effects of these illicit activities.
