Después de haber vivido un infierno, John Rambo se retira a su rancho familiar, pero su descanso se ve interrumpido por la desaparición de su ahijada tras cruzar la frontera con México. El veterano de guerra emprende un peligroso viaje en su búsqueda, enfrentándose a uno de los carteles más despiadados de la zona. Así descubre que, tras la desaparición de la chica, hay oculta una red de trata de blancas. Con sed de venganza, deberá cumplir una última misión desplegando de nuevo sus habilidades para el combate.

Esta publicación merece una explicación, porque hay un antes y un después de este vídeo. Solo aquí es donde podremos apreciar la pieza Patravi ScubaTec de edición personalizada que Carl F. Bucherer preparó a pedido de Sylvester Stallone para el rodaje de esta película.

Antes de la aparición de este vídeo, todo eran suposiciones, no había ninguna imagen que nos aclarara como es esta versión personalizada del Patravi ScubaTec. Yo sabía de la existencia de una publicación de http://www.watch-id.com (que también se dedica a identificar relojes de series y películas) que enlazaba a este vídeo. Pero ese enlace estaba roto. Así que me privé, como muchos otros interesados, de evaluar esa preciada información.

Redacté el artículo anterior basándome en información y evidencia que resultó errónea y me desvió de la verdad. Varios detalles no cerraban y la sola definición de edición especial o personalizada no me terminaba de conformar. Publiqué el artículo… ¡y me equivoqué!

Hace pocos días que llegué al único vídeo disponible en donde podemos contemplar brevemente este reloj, que no es más que una mezcla de componentes de las diferentes variaciones actualmente en producción del Patravi ScubaTec.

Esta es la única razón por la que rehice el artículo, que será el definitivo sobre esta pieza personalizada. Luego de la descripción de este ejemplar, abordaré las características del modelo que se utilizó como base para el armado del reloj que Sylvester Stallone encargó a la casa Carl F. Bucherer para que lo acompañara en esta última aventura de John Rambo.

En la que aparenta ser la última entrega de la saga Rambo (que comenzó en 1982 con Rambo First Blood dirigida por Ted Kotcheff), veremos la pieza Carl F. Bucherer que acompaña en todo momento a Sylvester Stallone –propietario de la pieza y conocido coleccionista de relojes-.

Y es en el minuto 00.09.25 que tenemos la primera vista parcial de este Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ScubaTec de edición personalizada.

Luego, con el correr del metraje, tendremos más de una oportunidad para observarlo parcialmente. Sobre todo, en el minuto 01.10.28, en la escena donde John Rambo pone a punto su arco. De todos modos, nunca llegaremos a apreciar en un plano macro la esfera del reloj, para hacer las obligadas comparaciones con las otras versiones.

En el primer párrafo les decía que Stallone es el propietario de esta pieza Patravi ScubaTec. Y según la información que pude recopilar durante estos días, de algunas de las publicaciones de Sascha Moeri (CEO de Carl. F. Bucherer) en su cuenta de Instagram, es que podemos hacer un seguimiento de la información surgida desde el 26 de mayo del año pasado.

El 22 de setiembre de este año, dos días después del estreno de Rambo Last Blood, Sascha Moeri publicó en Instagram:

“… Estamos verdaderamente honrados de que el Sr. Sylvester Stallone haya elegido usar un reloj Carl F. Bucherer en su última película. El reloj que has visto es un Patravi ScubaTec único en su clase, que fue diseñado exclusivamente para el Sr. Stallone, en su protagónico de “Rambo – Last Blood”. La inspiración del diseño fue el CFB Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition…”

En honor a la verdad, más que diseñado, este reloj fue armado con piezas de las distintas variantes que se comercializan del modelo Patravi ScubaTec.

El 26 de mayo de 2018, luego del último comunicado de la producción de Rambo Last Blood anunciando el inicio del rodaje , desde la cuenta de Carl F. Bucherer en Twitter se publicó:

En esta foto Sylvester Stallone muestra un ejemplar Patravi ScubaTec que no forma parte de las versiones comerciales del modelo. Es idéntico, o similar, a una edición limitada de 50 piezas que la compañía entregaría más adelante, en el evento organizado el 9 de mayo de este año en Brooklyn-NY, en el marco del estreno mundial de John Wick Chapter 3.

El actor Keanu Reeves y el director Chad Stahelski obtuvieron sus propias versiones personalizadas del reloj, al igual que muchas personas importantes que participaron en la película. Aunque este Patravi ScubaTec en particular (con su grabado “John Wick III” en el fondo de la caja) no aparece en la película.

El 26 de noviembre de 2018 Sascha Moeri, CEO de Carl F. Bucherer publicó este mensaje

Esta es la primera imagen pública del Patravi ScubaTec de edición personalizada que acompañaría a Sylvester Stallone en la última película de la franquicia “Rambo”.

El 10 de junio de este año Sascha Moeri publicó este vídeo –grabado antes de una toma- en su cuenta de Instagram:

No hay otro momento como este –ni siquiera en la película- en que se pueda apreciar algunos detalles de la esfera de esta pieza única, para compararla con las otras variantes conocidas del modelo.

La caja negra de titanio con recubrimiento DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) es propia de la última versión del Patravi ScubTec: el Black Mantra Special Edition 00.10632.28.33.99. El bisel negro, con números e índices al tono, pasa a ser un detalle que no se ve en ninguna otra variante del Patravi ScubaTec. La esfera negra con patrón escamado y el símbolo de la casa en rojo, es parte del original Patravi ScubaTec (aún en producción, con 15 variantes). Y para terminar, la correa de caucho sin resaltes de color (rojo o azul) pertenece al Manta Trust L.E.

El 2 de agosto Sascha Moeri escribió en su cuenta:

“La parte final de un emblemático éxito de Hollywood estará próximamente en los cines: ¡Rambo Last Blood! No podríamos estar más felices de que @Officialslystallone lleve una edición especial de nuestro Patravi ScubaTec en la película; pronto se revelarán más detalles. ¡Gracias Sly por este increíble póster oficial!”

El 22 de setiembre el CEO de Carl F. Bucherer escribió en Instagram:

“¡Gracias a todos por el interés y todos sus mensajes! Estamos verdaderamente honrados de que el Sr. Sylvester Stallone haya elegido usar un reloj CFB en su última película. El reloj que has visto es un Patravi ScubaTec único en su clase que fue diseñado exclusivamente para el Sr. Stallone, en su protagónico de “Rambo – Last Blood”. La inspiración del diseño fue el CFB Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition. El reloj de buzo no solo está dedicado a los océanos de manera óptica y técnica; también apoya su protección. Con este reloj certificado por COSC, Carl F. Bucherer demuestra su compromiso con la sostenibilidad, la conservación de los mares y una especie particularmente rara: la mantarraya negra.”

Hay que tener presente que el Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition fue presentado este año en Baselworld 2019, y la pieza que le ensamblaron a Sylvester Stallone le fue entregada antes de iniciado el rodaje a mediados del año pasado.

Evolución del Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ScubaTec

El origen de este modelo se remonta a 2014 y actualmente continúan prodiciéndose 15 variantes. El reloj que posee Sylvester Stallone se ubica entre la presentación del Patravi ScubaTec Manta Trust –ocurrida en 2017 y lanzada en una edición limitada a 188 ejemplares- y la presentación este año del Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta.

La pieza que aparece en la película tiene elementos de todos los modelos en producción.

La caja negra de titanio con recubrimiento DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) y 44,6 mm de ø, es parte de la última versión del modelo Patravi ScubTec: el Black Mantra Special Edition 00.10632.28.33.99.

En su interior late el Calibre CFB 1950.1 automático, común a todas las variantes Patravi ScubaTec.

El bisel negro, con números e índices al tono, pasa a ser un detalle que no se ve en ninguna otra variante de la serie Patravi ScubaTec.

La esfera negra con patrón escamado y el símbolo de la casa C.F:B. en rojo, es propia de las variantes Patravi ScubaTec con esfera negra (aún en producción con 15 variantes).

La corona negra pertenece a la variante Black Mantra. Aunque el vivo que divide a esta en dos, también es negro.

Con respecto a las manecillas y los índices, no me arriesgo. La imagen no es clara, podrían ser con contorno gris o negro.

La correa de caucho sin resaltes de color (rojo o azul) pertenece a la versión Patravi ScubaTec Manta Trust, pero combinado con el cierre de titanio del Patravi ScubTec Black Mantra.

Y para finalizar, al igual que la luna, esta pieza de edición personalizada también tiene su lado oscuro. Me refiero a la tapa de la caja. Al igual que todas las tapas de la serie, esta debería ser maciza y elaborada con el mismo material de la caja del Black Mantra. La duda está en el número de referencia que le adjudicaron a esta edición especial y si se denomina Black Mantra.

Y ahora le toca el turno al último modelo de la serie Patravi ScubaTec. Presentado en la feria anual de joyería y relojería Baselworld de este año, el Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ScubaTec Black Mantra S.E. Ref. 00.10632.28.33.99 tiene un precio retail de us$ 7,200 que lo ubica en el segmento de los relojes de Gama Media Alta.
