Back to Japan for another epic timelapse adventure! Shot in Shibuya, Tokyo and Yokohama, March 2024. Canon 6D. Lenses Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L, Rokinon 12mm f2.8, Canon EF 24-105mm. The street light painting or "street stacking" effect was done with long exposure images stacked using StarStax, a program I usually use to create star trail images for night sky work for SkyglowProject.com.

The dog statue at 1:35 is the mighty Hachiko; a local legend in Shibuya Square who used to meet his owner at the station every day after work, then continued to go every day for nine years after his owner died in 1925.

And the giant robot at 2:06 is a 60 foot tall, 55,000 pound recreation of the RX-78-2 Gundam, the hero mech of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. According to the Guiness Book of World Records, it's the largest mobile Humanoid Robot in the world and the the largest mobile Gundam.

So, fresh hoops and some Canopus Vintage wires! This baby sings! A lot more resonant than you would imagine a vintage 50's/60's wooden Ludwig snare shell to be! Refurbished by Jeff @kirschdrumsportland for @parrotdiceguitars It's a 50s WFL shell with Ludwig lugs, modern Ludwig throw off and new wrap. A few holes were plugged and white paint applied to the interior so it's basically a Jazz Festival with a little more depth. I added the Ludwig die-cast hoops. I think it was originally a WFL Contest or a Super Classic model. Anyway, this baby has a new life! Shot with a Canon EOS 50D and an EF-S 24mm f2.8 STM lens...
