This is actually also related to a change in recycle policies in the recent years: "Many single-use plastic products have been banned in the EU since July 3, 2021. These include drinking straws, stirrers, balloon sticks or disposable tableware made of conventional plastic and "bioplastic". To-go cups and disposable containers made of styrofoam can no longer be produced or sold in the EU."
