20.12.21 Agriculture & Health
Kindly Pray and Prophesy in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ that Chemical Fertilisers Subsidy in India should be phase down by Scale-up our production and incentivise for organic and biofertilizer production manufacturing for Agriculture by National self -sufficiency Atmanirbar Bharath Schemes to prevent import of fertilisers & India should be the global manufacturing hub by tap the global demands to increase our export will be 40% to GDP and import should be 10% to our GDP by 2030 & phasedown our China imports by 10% for electronic, consumer, automotive and pharmaceutical ingredients by 2030. Amen.
Ref: 23.11.21 Times of India & Hindu- English
( The Total demand for Urea for Agriculture in India is about 34-35 million tonnes whereas the domestic production is about 25 million tonnes. The requirement of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) is about 12 million tonnes and domestic production is just 5 million tonnes. This leaves the gap of nearly 9 -10 million tonnes for urea and 7 million tonnes for DAP which is met through imports. The use of Muriate Potash is about 3 million tonnes. This is entirely imported. The International prices of fertilisers are volatile. There has been a surge in international prices with Urea prices rising to record level of over to 900 dollars per metric tonne in November 2021 from nearly 270 US Dollar per metric tonne in September 2020 which is hike of 3 times price rise in one year. Likewise the international prices of DAP have risen from about 360 Dollar per metric tonne in September 2020 rised upto 825 Dollar per metric tonne in November 2021.
To allievate the burden to farmers, Union Government doubled the Fertilizer Subsidy in last 3 years by Rs 79530 crores. In order to minimise the impact of rise in prices on farmers, the bulk of the price rise is absorbed by the government through enhanced fertiliser subsidy. This is likely to create serious fiscal challenges. For the evidence, in Urea 50kg bag, farmers pay about Rs 268 only but Union Government paid Rs 930 subsidy for Urea. Thus, taxpayers bear 78% of the cost of Urea and farmers pay only 22% . Also this is expected to increase and is not sustainable. So we need to be self reliant and not depend on import of fertiliser. So We should scale up our production in Public Sector Fertiliser Production Plants at Gorakhpur, Sundri, Barauni, Talcher and Ramagundam. Also we should improve innovation to Develop alteternative to chemical fertilisers by organic fertiliser and biofertilizer and provide subsidies and incentives for organic and biofertilizers.
Also India more reliance on China for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. China is a Major Source of APIs( Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) for antibiotics, antihypertensive and antivirals. For Example China is the World's largest producer of swine from which heparin, a drug used to prevent blood clotting. But 80% of the global supply of heparin comes from China. Without heparin, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, angiograms, angioplastics of any type, organ transplantation, kidney dialysis, adequate management of heart attack and brain stroke cannot be done. Without heparin, critical care will suffer due to frequent blockages of lifelines which inject vital drugs, virtually paralysing our health care delivery system. If any unforeseen event like Galwan Valley or Covid-19 pandemic our supply chain with China will affect our Health care. So National Self Sufficiency of entire production for our pharmaceutical products should be achieved by our Atmanirbar Bharath Scheme.
China is India's largest trading partner, bilateral trade was at 92.68 billion US dollars in 2019. We are importing 37% electronic components, 45% consumer durables and 70% APIs( Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and KSM( Key Starting Materials) required to manufacture lifesaving drugs are imported from China. Also morethan 80% of the World's automobile parts linked with Chinese Manufacturing. According to the United Nations, China accounts for 28.7% of global manufacturing output. I wish India should tap this market and prevent Chinese hegemony in exports by India will develop to enhance our status from being the backoffice to the world to being a global manufacturing hub. Sofar India is blessed with a democracy with 138 crores consumers and an extremely talented pool of youngsters, who have transformed many global enterprises. So we have no doubt that India will be prepared to turn this import dependency into an opportunity. Amen

7 major oil and gas pipelines in India
The establishment of pipeline installation companies has led to convenient, cost-effective, and efficient ways of transporting oil and gas over long distances. Assam was the first state in the country to discover oil deposits near the town of Digboi. The natural gas industry began in the 1960s after gas fields were discovered in Assam and Bombay high. In terms of energy consumption and oil consumption, India ranks third behind China and the US. India targets to bring this dependence by 10% by 2022.
Here’s a list of 7 major oil and gas pipelines that run in India.
Naharkatia-Noonmati-Barauni Pipeline
The oldest crude oil pipeline in India started from Naharkatia(Assam) oilfield to Noonmati(Assam). Later the transport was extended to Barauni, Bihar, and then to Kanpur, UP. It started in 1962 and has many subsidiary pipes now.  Noonmati-Siliguri, Lakwa-Rudrasagar-Barauni, and Haldia-Rajbandh-Maurigram pipeline are some of its subsidiaries. It’s 1,157 km long.
Mumbai High-Mumbai-Ankleshwar-Kayoli Pipeline
Another famous oil pipeline in India connecting Gujarat and Mumbai oilfields with the Koyali(Gujarat) refinery, this pipeline is designed to transport crude oil. This is a 210 km double pipeline to Mumbai High and transports crude oil and natural gas. The Ankleshwar-Koyali pipeline started in 1965.
Salaya-Koyali-Mathura Pipeline
One of the most important pipelines in India, this pipeline is 1256 km long. The pipeline installation was done starting from Salaya (Kachchh, Gujarat) to Koyali(UP) and then to Mathura(UP) passing through Viramgram. This pipeline supplies crude oil to the refinery in Mathura. Later it was extended Panipat(Haryana) oil refinery.
Hajira-Bijapur-Jagdishpur (HBJ) Gas Pipeline
This gas pipeline in India is the longest with a length of 1750 km. This pipeline installation was done by the Gas Authority of India (GAIL). It crossed 75 rivers (big and small) and 29 railway crossings. It provides gas to 4 major states in the country - Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. 18 million cubic meters of gas is being transported every day to six fertilizer plants. The daily capacity of each fertilizer plant is approximately 1,350 tonnes of ammonia. These plants are in Jagdishpur, Shahjahanpur,  Sawai Madhopur, Aonla, Bijaipur, and Babrala. Being the world’s largest underground gas pipeline in India, it is extended to Delhi as well.
Jamnagar-Loni LPG Pipeline
From Jamnagar(Gujarat) to Loni(Uttar Pradesh), this is a very long and important pipeline constructed by GAIL. It is the first time that LPG has been transported via pipeline across a country. Along the route, LPG is received at Ajmer and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
Kandla-Bhatinda Pipeline
IOC constructed his pipeline to transport crude oil to the Bhatinda refinery in Punjab. It is 1331 km long. Due to the increasing demand of the North-west region, this pipeline was extended from Mundra to Panipat and is now called as Mundra-Panipat pipeline. It is 1194 km long.
Kalol-Sabarmati Crude Pipeline and Nawgam-Kalol-Koyali Crude Pipeline - Gujarat
In Gujarat, there are many short-distance pipelines. Oil and gas pipeline in India is used to transport crude oil and natural gas, respectively. Crude oil and natural gas in Gujarat are transported to refineries using these pipeline installations. Later, from these refineries refined products are being sent to the local markets via short-distance pipelines.
Apart from the ones mentioned above, there are other important gas and oil pipeline in India that support the country’s energy consumption. Pipeline installation companies like GAIL and IOC are very ambitious about their plans to construct more pipelines in the future. Raci Spacer distributor UAE

In the last two years, India has climbed 53 places in the World Bank’s ease of doing business report. Despite that, for the average US company, the country continues to look like a tough market to break into.

We aim for sustainability, but it needs to look good as well: Pernilla Wohlfahrt
In 2012, Swedish clothing retail brand Hennes and Mauritz AB, or H&M, had launched its first ever Conscious Exclusive collection. Made with new and innovative sustainable material such as organic cotton and recycled polyester, the collection marked a departure from the fast fashion goods that the company was known for. With a focus on plant-based and recycled material, Conscious Exclusive marked H&M’s foray into “slow fashion" and spurred its sustainability programme. Every year since then, the brand has experimented with newer sustainable fabrics such as recycled glass and Denimite, a material made of recycled worn-out denim, the Livemint reported.
Why retailers love mothers so much
In November 1981, the Times of India (ToI) published a report on how “various cultural and social organisations in different parts of the country” were gearing up to celebrate Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s birthday as “Mother’s Day and National Integration Day”.
The exact nature of these organisations wasn’t clear, but they were evidently unconcerned with taking sycophancy into distinctly dubious territory, write Economic Times.
