Bit of a hot take, but Blaze’s friendship with Cream and Sonic deserves just as much (if not in some ways even more so) attention and exploration as her friendship with Silver given how much they hugely impacted Blaze and helped her to grow as a person. This applies both to canon and in the fandom space.

#look yes I get it- Blaze and Silver’s friendship is really cute and there’s a reason why they’re popular as a duo ever since 06 #certainly not trying to discredit their friendship or I guess folks that love to ship silvaze #BUT Cream and Sonic literally changed Blaze forever and I guarantee if it wasn’t for them then she and Silver never could’ve been friends #Cream was the one who first opened Blaze up to friendship #Sonic imparted on her that she doesn’t have to carry the world on her shoulders #at least not alone #not to mention teaching her how to activate burning Blaze and properly control the Sol emeralds #their friendship with Blaze just means so much to me okay- #also I can understand people instantly jump to Silver when thinking of Blaze’s friends given I think far more people played or knew about 06 #while Rush was only on the DS and while there’s certainly a sizable number of fans I’ve seen that have also played the game it’s still few #but even understanding that I can’t help but feel a smidge upset that I rarely see cream + Blaze or sonic + Blaze one on one interactions #and this isn’t even talking about shipping whether Silvaze or Sonaze: just them being good friends #I could probably go on about Rush forever- #sonic the hedgehog #sonic #sonic rush #blaze the cat #blaze #inky axolotl talks #cream the rabbit
