This hurts me so badly because 1) it's one of the VERY. and I mean VERY few times Dazai AND Ango are both entirely honest and openly vulnerable about their respective lives (and aprox the only time it happens with each other), and 2) this was Ango and Odasaku's last ever meeting. The last words Ango ever heard from him were "Don't say any more, Ango. Just don't." in response to his question about remaining friends, before later finding out that Odasaku died
