I just read the entirety of Deathco in two days and it’s wild that Atsushi Kaneko has so much stylistic inspiration from western films, artists and subcultures and yet the only manga of his being published in English currently is a re-adaptation of Dororo.
Like ANYONE interested in Twin Peaks, X-Files, exploitation movies, classic monster movies, 1950s American counterculture, urban dystopia etc would absolutely eat his original works up but his only series getting officially translated is (probably) because it has Tezuka and a semi-recent anime adaptation attached to it.
