I thought so often about Paddy meeting Angus again, ever since the Derry Trio became a concept god knows when. Like. For YEARS I had a thousand different possibilities in my head. Even wrote one that is now lost to time. And the one I wrote tonight, who said that that one is canon. But it is the product of a long, long journey in my head and that is a journey that will continue long after, until I've forgotten all of my OCs.

#and it is the first iteration where I really confronted the fact that Paddy and Angus had changed #like of course I knew that and factored it in. But still a lot of their interactions felt like the talks they have back in the 80s #This one doesn't. And it rarely reflects their default talks nevermind that the default dynamic is missing one crucial piece #THAT is the other thing. The past is dead and buried in Derry because Kilian died in a car crash.
