Foster Bros AU Atumu gets a girlfriend at age 22-ish? Maybe older. Maybe 25. She's respectful so she hasn't tried to push his boundaries (he's still aroace but she's a nice person - one of the few nice people he has met in his life), so they haven't ever done anything beyond cuddling before. She's older than he is. A lot of emotional intelligence. More content with under the cut (lots of SA trigger warning)

I think this is after she had met Startop and Startop acts like a total dick bc he's jealous. Atumu tries to defend his foster brother for his behaviour. After all, Startop is the only other human being who has ever been kind to him and genuinely cared for him as a person.

Atumu casually alludes to some bad shit that happened, but he seems emotionally okay with it. Doesn't go into detail but he just mentions it. Like some bad shit happened, but it's bc he's got this deformed body. And Alice is like ?? Bc she has seen Atumu in basically his underwear and he looks fine to her. He looks FINE to her haha. Anyhow he shrugs it off like it's no biggie but she is actually curious. Will be tell her? They've been dating for, idk, like, 2 years now at this point? (Atumu doesn't really know what a relationship is so I guess he doesn't know how long they have been dating. He doesn't even know what dating is).

Atumu is intersex. He doesn't really know what it is, and he doesn't know much about it. But he knows there is something physically "wrong" with him, and that's probably why all the Bad Stuff happened. He has experienced REPEATED sexual assaults, in almost every stage of his life. Early childhood (before 8 years old - but he has no memory of that, age 12 at boarding school from a group of older boys - really fucking traumatic, age 15 when he went to a private university - first week getting drugged and date raped by a bunch of upperclassmen, and 15-18 all throughout his entire undergraduate experience just because he didn't understand boundaries and didn't KNOW he was allowed to say no). By the time he was 18, in his last year in university, he was so emotionally vacant and dissociative and had basically zero will to live. He said no for the first time in his life. And kept saying no. And hadn't had sex since.

Now, some 4-6 years later, it has been a while since he has had any sexual experiences and it's....nice. He has never wanted sex. He was already asexual before the sexual assaults, and afterwards...? He has a hard time distinguishing the difference between sex and rape. Because he has NEVER wanted it. It's all the same to him.

But the kind of tragic thing is that he has sort of internalized it to be...his fault? Like the REASON he was raped was bc of his body. He's got this fucked up body - that's why he was raped. That's why all those horrible things happened to him repeatedly. And this is what he gets for having a fucked up body.

Alice can't imagine what he's talking about since he's so fucking vague about it. He never told her about the rapes, but his vague ass language gave her some idea that he might have been SA'd. But deformed? She's seen almost all of him and the only thing that seemed strange, besides how tall and thin he is, were his large scars across his back. But he has already told her that he doesn't know what those are from (that happened before he was 8 years old, which he has no living memory of).

So she asks to see. Atumu still doesn't know why anyone would want to see his genitals. He thinks all genitals are kinda........ blegh. And his in particular are even more messed up. So he gives her a warning. She still wants to see.

He does eventually show her and.....it sort of all makes sense. Why he'd say that sort of thing. Why he'd think that. He has a penis, like normal - well, I mean not that normal cuz it's MmMmmm..hmmm we will just say more than proportional ... Hm okay no additional comment, but at the base of it, it connects to what looks like a fully formed vagina instead of a scrotum. It looks identical to any normal ciswoman's labia...just weirdly where the clit would be, Atumu instead has his penis. She has heard of "hermaphrodite" before but never knew it could be like this. (She'd spend the next few days furiously teaching herself about it on the internet).

Anyhow, in the moment, she asks if she can touch it. Atumu is uncomfortable, but he allows her to. She tries a bit, but based on Atumu's body language in response, she doesn't push it.

They don't mention it again for a while, but Alice thinks about it nonstop for like...the rest of her life.

Just to make it clear I didn’t mean people are being dramatic because they’re getting attacked. Of course everyone is allowed to defend themselves and no one should ever be attacked over fictional characters. And this is exactly why I said everyone is a bit too dramatic because on one side as a Helaemond I get hated for being a Helaemond and on the other side I get excluded for not agreeing or liking the "Helaena’s children are Aemond’s" theory. The fandom in general is such a mess and everyone is so on edge about every little thing. Fact is not one ship in Hotd is unproblematic. Whether it’s Alysmond, Helaemond or Helaegon all three of these ships have some kind of sketchy vibe on them. Though I have to disagree that everyone should suddenly be okay or comfortable with incest just because it’s one aspect of the show. I mean rape, misogyny and other bad things are also inherent to the show but that doesn’t mean we have to like or be comfortable with it. A large age-gap is not the same as incest imo so again I do understand why not everyone is on board with Helaemond or any other incest ship for that matter. What’s not okay is to attack someone because they ship it. I think the only ship that really really makes me uncomfortable and that actually deserves the hate it gets is Lucemond tbh.

well, if it helps, you won't get hate from me for not believing the children theory or not wanting it to be true specifically as i wasn't its biggest rider either. i mean i've always considered it a realistic possibility, but as an alicent fan i cringed at the amount of hate that would double because of it because she's a "hypocrite", even tho the circumstances are different from viserys.

i've gradually came to embrace it and just psychologically prepare myself to get jumped for still standing in my girl's corner.

however recently i've also started to post about it just because of people see it as a reason to bully others. like you will have people post that picture of that supposed jaehaera casting next to aemond and say something really mild like "copy paste" and get death threats but a post that puts her next to aegon and says "she got x from her dad" doesn't. imagine if i started commenting about people also supposedly "romantcizing incest" and lowkey dismissing the possibile dub con of jaehaera's existance as a child of a forced marriage and use this to say really shitty stuff like "go kys" and "stop using children to fulfill your nasty fantasies"

so because i always saw it as a realistic direction the show could take i said fuck it, let's post some about this and spite some people. because hypocritical bullies should get pushed back down on their asses every time.

(however if it does become canon, i'll likely be in these kids' corner trying to protect them from b&c and discourse w my bare hands 😂)

but still... i don't think the hate one might get for being a helaemond shipper but not a children theory supporter (whoever sent you hate / bullied you over that sucks) compres to the hate campaign ran against helaemonds as a whole for months by alysm*nds. and now by helaeg*ns too.

gonna have to disagree w the incest aspect tho simply bc many if not most antis who hate helaem*nd support helaeg*n or some other form of incest, like aegond, rhaemond, etc. in fact i had someone try to explain to me that it's not the same thing if they're cousins. and still, i would hope that universally anti incest uncomfortable people would spend their time blocking and muting rather than, idk, sending anon hate. seems more productive to me.

anyway this is getting long but i think my bottom line is this: i get that you probably had some experience maybe that you felt you were sidelined for not believing in the children theory and i think that's valid, but looking at the bigger picture, the helaem*nd fandom is, for a lack of a better word, stressed out and while i myself have my own gripes w opinions of other helaem*nds on certain things, i also kind of get how things can get tense

but to come back to this: if you don't think that the children are aemond's, or don't want them to be aemond's, that's fine with me!

This is gonna be a LONG “ask anon thing” sry! 😭 I read “In Another Life” so long ago and it’s still one of my fav all time reads, and I like reading completed books rather than unfinished bc I am so impatient that I could never handle waiting, I NEED to binge it through, so like I was waiting for the third part of flatmate to be finished since I already read part 1 and 2 long ago right when it got finished lmao

{2/8} (this probably doesn’t make any sense, I’m sorry😣) BUT bc I’m so into Halloween, & saw the Halloween special of part 3 was up, I couldn’t help but binge read and now I am impatient for the last 2 storylines within Part 3 (I’m so excited at the same time though!🥰) Imma be honest tho, I don’t read My Girl NOT BC IT ISNT GOOD, I’VE READ SOME BLURBS & THEYRE SO CUTE THAT I WANT TO READ but I’m gonna be a dumbass & instead of like Flatmates, wait until the LAST BOOK IS FINISHED TO BINGE READ

{3/8} THROUGH (idk why, I’m so weird like that!!! Sry!!!) but bc I’ve read some blurbs, I know a little bit of the characters from MG, like I have -heard- of Isaac (don’t really know who he is tho), I haven’t heard of Eddie yet (but I’m guessing by reactions that he’s a character in MG?) So when I caught up to the Halloween special, I’m assuming Eddie recognizes Harry but from MG?? And bc of THAT, I went back to the doctor visit chapter with Noah

{4/8} (GIRL, I was SHOOK that you brought the summer fling back from Book 1, NICE WORK!) that when Y/N mentioned the name Isaac (as I said before, I only HEARD of Isaac, I don’t completely know who this is, that’s why this reference flew over my head), I’m assuming that he took Y/N from MG, that’s why there was that reference? I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE LOL I KNOW IM A DUMBASS, BUT THERE’S A POINT IN THIS WHOLE ASK THING! I didn’t understand until I read the note at the end of the Halloween chapter

{5/8} that I was like “wait wut😱” bc the name Aunt Lynn sounded familiar until I read the note 🤣 but continuing, I’m just wondering now...ARE ALL THESE BOOKS/SERIES CONNECTED OR SOMETHING? BC EVEN THO IDK WHO ISAAC IS, I CAUGHT THAT “in another life” line, & I was like WAIT, THERE IS A WHOLE ASS SERIES YOU WROTE CALLED IN ANOTHER LIFE!!! Then it got me thinking IAL is ALSO another reference bc Flatmate!Y/N deadass says the line “in another life” even tho she mentioned the name Isaac while

{6/8} thinking of baby names. and you know how IAL, Harry and Y/N’s past lives, they never got their happily ever after bc of the curse? And then Harry (Edward) finally stopped being a dumbass, found Y/N (Ann) in the present at the museum, and FINALLY got their happily ever after bc Harry/Edward found YN/Ann!!!! SO LIKE bc the curse was broken, and Flatmates and MG are gonna get a happy ending (even tho there’s SO MUCH ANGST IN THE MIDDLE, ugh my poor heart, but I love it! And love you! ❤️),

{7/8} is it bc since the curse from IAL is broken, there’s no more reincarnation but INSTEAD their doppelgängers Harry and Y/N from both Flatmate and MG do get their happy endings, is that why? (In my mind, reincarnation and doppelgängers are 2 diff things lol) but like all of this really leads back to IAL series?! THIS IS JUST A THEORY BC SINCE I BINGED PART 3, AND READ THE AUTHORS NOTE, I AM ACTUALLY SHAKING! YOU ARE SO CLEVER!!!!

{8/8} I’M SORRY THIS IS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND SUPER LONG WITH SO MANY QUESTIONS THAT I DONT EVEN KNOW THE MAIN QUESTION, BUT I HOPE I GOT MY POINT ACROSS! First of all, this is the longest ask I’ve ever received. Thank you for that.

To answer your questions, (you are NOT a dumbass, don’t call yourself that!), let’s talk about the Halloween chapter. When Y/N and the other Flatmate characters met the MG characters, it was on Halloween night. So when they came to the bookstore, Y/N expected to see the nice old lady who used to give her discounts when she was a student, but then she saw Eddie instead. A noticeable detail here was that Eddie told her the bookstore was a family business, meaning he had been working there for years, but why hadn’t they met before? It didn’t make sense.

Or did it?

It was Halloween night, so maybe it was the only night that the two alternate universes collided for a reason we couldn’t explain. And after that night, they would never see each other again unless something else happened.

But then in My Girl, Alice (the MC’s co-worker) said Layla was her cousin, this makes the point I made above invalid because Layla and the other Flatmate characters are real in this case and they are living in the same universe. The two Harrys and Nialls are just doupelgangers.

It really depends on how you prefer to believe. I wrote the crossover just for fun and to confuse you guys so it’s not very serious. But I love these theories so much 😍

About the In Another Life references, I LOVE what you said about how they broke the curse so they ended up together in every lifetime later on. This could be a connection between all the books and this could go so well with the first theory that Flatmate and MG were two parallel universes. Because they broke the curse in IAL, for every lifetime after, for every universes they were in, they always end up together no matter what.

This doesn’t really answer your questions because I don’t have the answers. The truth is just what you choose to believe in. 😉

here are my thoughts/reactions to this weeks episode that no one asked for, which will include spoilers (obviously) so i’m putting them under the cut. i’ve already watched the episode so these aren’t my first reactions technically but they’ll be the same.

caution: i’m not a fan of jughead or the core four. so i’ll be poking fun/getting annoyed at them.

- why did betty not go straight to alice with the dna test? why would she give chic, who she thinks is capable of hurting her, the opportunity to last out at her? i also still don’t get why she didn’t just get a normal dna test. like you’re a journalist, get the full truth, not just some of it

- i fucking called it!! why do ya think hal wanted nothing to do with chic? remember when he said “you’re letting this stranger into our house”? he wouldn’t call his own son a stranger

- fp is the dad and that’s the facts (that wouldn’t make bughead wrong don’t even try to defend that)

- chic is such a good creep IM LIVING FOR IT

- if it wasn’t a for-profit prison it wouldn’t be the worst idea. but it is so :///

- southside high was falling apart at the seems. the old students were aware of that and were plenty happy to go away! yes the lodge’s had other intentions with shutting down the school, but overall it was a good thing. there’s other, more valid reasons to not like the prisons that aren’t being talked about!!

- lol we know that veronica running for stuco wouldn’t end up well

- fred getting more screen time <333 (even if i don’t totally agree with him)

- does everybody at this school watch the same tv shows how is jughead quoting scandal (which i had to google) universally understood? i’m actually a sophomore and my friends and i quote vines.

- why isn’t ronnie defending herself? she gave that look to archie so he could defend her. where did kick ass veronica i don’t take no shit’ lodge go??

- ‘hunger strike for southside high’ BOI

- ‘for it to re-open’ i had to pause this when i first watched this scene. he went there for like 2 weeks. toni was his only true friend for the majority of it. he didn’t like the idea of it and didn’t like what he had to do to survive there. the other students were happy with it closing!! why you gotta be so extra?? and if he really wants to get out of riverdale to be a writer he shouldn’t be trying to go back to a school that had teachers who gave up hope on their students

- ew ethel (i was eh with her all together but i’m still >:( over how she got mad at veronica for what hiram did to her father. veronica was one of the only people who was comforting her and tried to make amends. we can’t forget that when that all was going down veronica didn’t like her dad)

- WHY ARE KEVIN AND JOSIE SITTING ALONE

- HAHAHA ok i’m josie (don’t get me wrong i like veronica and is the only tolerable lead for me atm but that slushie thing is really funny. it was sorta uncalled for, but she is working with her father soz)

- betty talking about her darkness and saying ‘darkness’ in general is the most cringey thing ever. she has some sort of mental illness. i don’t know what but they shouldn’t have taken this ‘darkness inside of me’ approach.

- i wish V tried to become josie’s friend before asking her for an endorsement. actually, i wish the show resolved their friendship ages ago. they’re the one of the few WOC and overall i’m tired of girl x girl friendships being ruined like this

- it’s got so bad that veronica had to bribe josie to endorse her. i know this isn’t gonna go well

- sweet pea looking like an out of focus snack <333

- DRAG HIM JUGHEAD (lol you can tell how much i don’t like archie being up hiram’s ass that i’m praising jughead)

Here’s some sad Wynonna Earp headcanons that I can think of:

- (this one isn’t totally sad actually but i gotta share it) There’s a universe in which Perry was planning his marriage to Waverly, and then she literally barricaded herself in a barn with the town’s sheriff, told him she thought she was gay, and blew herself up. Can you imagine what shit is like in that AU? ‘Oh yeah, Waverly Earp and Sheriff Haught commited suicide together because they feared their affair may be discovered by their respective partners’ poor Perry has to live with the fact that his fiance blew herself up to avoid marrying him sudkjsjshsks my ex boyfriend freaked out when I came out as a lesbian, this is a whole new level 😂

- I highly doubt Wynonna is in to musicals, but if she were.... You Learn To Live Without from If/Then.... 😭

- Ik now that this element is gonna kill me in S3 but Dolls, and wanting to be there for Wynonna and wanting to support her, but also knowing that he has no place in what’s going on and potentially watching Doc push Wynonna away.... and knowing Dolls he’s gonna respond in some headass ‘I’m your boss get it together and break this curse of you’re never gonna see ur kid again’ way in a misguided attempt to get Wynonna to get it together.

- I can’t tell whether the baby having been sent away is gonna make Doc and Wynonna closer, or make them argue more.

- I trust Emily Andras and I hope she’s playing the long ball to making Wyndolls canon. I can’t be being straight baited.

- It’s Quiet Uptown from Hamilton is quite fitting... but imagine in the places of Alexander and Eliza it’s Dolls and Wynonna. Dolls never had a lot to do with the baby... I don’t think he ever even saw her did he? But he loves Wynonna and I reckon he would do anything to make her happy.

- Imagine whisky drunk wynonna singing ‘you are my sunshine’ to an empty bassinet. A well meaning citizen dropped it off after the baby was born, not knowing that the helicopter that had flown over took the baby away. The person who knocked on the door of the Earp Homestead to deliver it said ‘You’re one crazy motherfucker to be raising your kid here’ before rushing off the Earp land bc nobody likes it. Wynonna breaks down into tears, and knows she did the right thing by sending Alice away. Waverly finds her hours later, drunk and on the floor, passed out, ad half curled around the bassinet. She gets Wynonna to bed, and list for ideas, takes the Bassinet to Nicole’s to put in her loft.

Nicole hates herself for the pang of hope she gets when Waverly knocks the door holding a basket. And then again, for a whole different reason, the pang of longing when she realises it’s empty. She knows deep down that there will be no more Earp babies until the curse is broken.

- After the baby is sent away, Waverly throws herself into research. She wishes now more than ever that she could be the heir, because then maybe Wynonna could have kept Alice.

Nedley dismissing Nicole from her shift to take a hysterical Waverly Earp, who hasn’t slept for 36 hours, home to finally get some rest becomes more commonplace. Nicole watched Waverly as she becomes exhausted, and as a result snappier, angrier, more hardened. She tries not to feel guilty.

After all, she’s the one who knows something about the Cult of Bulshar and won’t share it.

- Wynonna is drunk 24/7 but becomes more cynical. She won’t let anyone near her. Her walls are 10 miles high, and Doc and Dolls have very different ideas about how to help. Waverly tells them to take their heads out of their asses and stop arguing over Wynonna like she’s their property because she doesn’t need them.

Nobody is sure they like this new Waverly.

- Waverly, in a weird way, misses Rosita. She had really hoped that there could be good revenants. That would have made her job a lot easier. But Rosita tried to steal the baby, and Waverly is crushed. Of course, she can’t mention this to Nicole.
