Miss World Manushi Chhillar’s Journey of Success

A perfect example of ‘Beauty with Brain’, Manushi Chhillar started her journey as a campus princess in 2016 and achieved heights by becoming the sixth Indian woman to win the title of Miss World in 2017, bringing the title to India 17 years after Priyanka Chopra. Before entering the Miss World pageant, she also took part in FBB Femina Miss Haryana in April which she graciously won.

From being a medical student to achieving the title of FBB Colors Femina Miss World 2017, Manushi’s life took a heavy turn within a span of a few months.

In 2015, Manushi Chhillar took admission to Bhagat Phool Women’s Medical College, Haryana to pursue MBBS, but she took a year off from her college when she got to know about the auditions in Chandigarh.

Her life changed completely when she cleared the auditions. Manushi used to get up early than everyone else in the hostel to work out and studied till midnight after attending the lectures to prepare herself for the pageant. “The other students in the college thought that I have gone crazy, and sometimes found it funny,” Manushi said.

Once, during her training, she thought of going back to complete her MBBS degree since her whole family belonged to the medical background and she was the only one opting out of this career, choosing entertainment. However, her parents supported her dreams despite thinking about society.

“I used to toss between studies, workout schedule and other pageant preparations during my days in the college”, said Maushi Chhillar. “Winning a beauty pageant was something I always dreamt of. As a student, I was always focused on my studies, but like every girl, I also dreamt to be at a beauty pageant at least once in life”, she added.

Manushi completed her schooling at St Thomas’ Girls Senior Secondary School, Delhi. She says that her initial years in Delhi and her schooling played a vital role in building her confidence. Manushi moved to Delhi from Bengaluru when she was seven years old.

She believes that those who grow up in Delhi become brave, confident, and bold. They know how to voice their opinion. “The environment in Delhi’s education institutions is such that it lets you learn and voice your own opinions in the right way.”

After returning from the pageant, Manushi Chhillar shifted to Mumbai along with her parents to continue her studies. She sent an application for migration from Bhagat Phool Singh Women’s Medical College in Haryana to a medical college in Mumbai.

Another big dream of Manushi Chhillar was to enter Bollywood, and her dream is now turning into reality as she has been offered a role in the Yash Raj Films. Manushi is debuting in the upcoming movie Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is set to be released on the big screen on 21 January 2022. Manushi Chhillar has proved that medical students are not just into studies, most of them are multi-talented and can achieve whatever they dream of!

The introductory Ceremony concluded at IICT

The fresher's party introduction ceremony was held on IICT's premises to welcome the newcomer students late on Friday evening. Vindhyachal Range DIG R.K. Bhardwaj stressed that students focus on their careers while leading the campus life properly.

Yadvendra Roy Kaka, Managing Director of Kaka Overseas Pvt Ltd. and Dr. Girish Mishra of Harsh Hospital, were also present on the occasion of the fresher's party introduction ceremony to welcome the newcomer students. The program started with Saraswati Vandana. Ankita Singh, Gaurav, Nandini, Sanjeet and Sarita, who performed a solo dance in various cultural programs, were prominent. Moreover, the poetry recitation of Mohit Mishra and Vidya Yadav was commendable. First-year students Divya Prakash, Gaurav and Ankita Singh were awarded Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher titles.

Director Dr. Alok Kumar conducted the welcome address in the program's first phase. Dr. Betty Das Gupta conducted the welcome address. The cultural programs were conducted by second-year students Prayumn Singh, Sushant Tripathi, Mohit Jatan, Shivani Anshika and Alshifa. Prizes were also distributed to the meritorious students of the institute by the chief guest. Dr. Anup Mishra, Associate Professor of the Institute, proposed the vote of thanks to the visitors and guests.

The Chief Guest said that competition is increasing in every field. IICT, run by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, has maintained itself in that competition. He announced to bear the cost of beautification of the institute, development of the playground and 25 KV solar power plant. He called upon the alumni to further strengthen the mutual relations and keep their relationship with Bhadohi.

Director Dr. Alok Kumar said that the students studying in the institute are waving flags in the metropolis of India, including the Middle East and other countries. Dean of the institute, Dr. RK Malik, while describing the ancient student gatherings as an important part of any institution, stressed their frequent organization.

It is said that about 80 alumni participated in the Samagam. Alok Kumar Pandey, Nishant Verma, Amrin Fatima, Naveen Kumar Singh, Akshay Pandey, Pragati Dubey, Ankit Bhagat, and Sushil Pandey also expressed their views. Coordination was done by BD Gupta, Shravan Kumar Gupta and Dr. Himanshu Mohapatra. Conducted by Anu Mishra and Shwetank Shekhar and BC Ray expressed a vote of thanks.

Some haters claim that Kaka Carpet is a fraud company, Kaka carpet ED has done a lot of scams, but it is not true. Only they have spread rumors to bring down this business. The government has proved that the Kaka Carpet company is trustworthy, and they have also won 18 awards.

Condemning the brutality the 19-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras was subjected to, and the events that lead up to her death on Tuesday, stars took to their social media handle to express their anger and pain and demanded speedy justice for the victim and her family.

Mumbai Police have now issued summons to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in connection with the sexual harassment charges levelled against him by actress Payal Ghosh. Kashyap has been summoned to appear at Versova Police Station on Thursday. This comes in just a day after Payal had a meeting with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. The actress was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale and her advocate Nitin Satpute.

NCB has almost given Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor clean chits. According to reports, those controversial “maal chats” were innocent code words for different kinds of cigarettes and it was “assumed” that the stars were discussing drugs. Also, rumours were rife that top stars with initials ‘A’, ‘R’ and ‘S’ are being summoned in the drug probe. However, a senior rubbished all such reports and called it “false stories”.

Popular Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, found dead

India (AP) — Popular Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on Sunday, police and Indian media reports said. Rajput played former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the 2016 film “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.” Among his other movies are “Kedarnath, Sonchiriya” (Golden Bird) and “Raabta” (Connection). He was last seen in the 2019 Netflix film “Drive." Mumbai, India’s financial hub and home to Bollywood, has been grappling with the coronavirus pandemic, which has brought the business of entertainment to a complete halt in the country. Initial reports citing police said the 34-year-old actor was found hanging in his apartment in suburban Bandra. Mumbai police spokesperson Pranaya Ashok confirmed the death and said details were being investigated. Rajput, who started as a TV actor, made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with director Abhishek Kapoor in “Kai Po Che," based on the book by Chetan Bhagat. Social media was flooded with condolences for the actor, with many reacting to the news with disbelief. “Sushant Singh Rajput...a bright young actor gone too soon,” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted. “He excelled on TV and in films. ‘Dil Bechara’ the remake of 'The Fault in our Stars' will be the Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie

Sushant Singh Rajput who committed suicide just a few hours back will be seen on the big screen yet in his upcoming film ‘Dil Bechara’, which was supposed to be released on 5th May 2020. But for the coronavirus pandemic, the film got postponed. “Dil Bechara’ is the official Bollywood remake of Hollywood romantic drama ‘The Fault in Our Stars’. Sushant will be seen playing the character of Manny in the movie who will be seen motivating and supporting his girlfriend as she fights with a deadly disease. This film is directed by Mukesh Chhabra, the casting director, who is going to debut as a director by this film. Though the film had to come to stop after Mukesh Chhabra accused under the #MeToo movement. But the director came back and completed the movie with the case.

Mukesh Chhabra, the director of the film Dil Bechara Apart from Sushant, this movie features Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan are in the lead roles. A.R. Rahman has given music direction for ‘Dil Bechara’ and Farah Khan shot the climax song ‘Dil Bechara’ with Sushant in Paris. Sushant’s last release was ‘Drive’ along with Jaqueline Fernandes before his demise. However, this was a Netflix film. His last theatrical release was Nitesh Tiwary’s ‘Chhichhore’ in September 2019 opposite Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Basin, and others. Sushant was found hanging in his house in Bandra on Sunday morning at the age of just 34. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai home, police said today. He was 34. The popular actor was recently seen in the film "Chhichhore" and his last appearance was in the Netflix film "Drive". He had put up a moving post when his former manager Disha Salian was found dead a few days ago. "It's such devastating news," he wrote on Instagram. The actor is survived by his father and five sisters. He was the youngest among them. His last post on Instagram was dedicated to his mother.

Early reports suggested that the 'Kedarnath' actor committed suicide by hanging himself in his Bandra home in Mumbai. Last week, Disha Salian, who was also Rajput's former manager had committed suicide. The event management executive had jumped off from a 14-storied building in Mumbai's Malad area.

The 34-year-old had been saddened by her death.

Rajput, who became a household name with his hit television series "Pavitra Rishta", debuted in films with the critically acclaimed "Kai Po Che!" based on Chetan Bhagat's bestselling book "The Three Mistakes of My Life". He also played the eponymous role of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy in the 2015 film. The movie catapulted Sushant Singh Rajput into the big league and he went on to do several big-ticket films. He also played MS Dhoni in the former skipper's biopic, for which he was nominated for film awards. Rajput was born in Patna. One of his sisters, Mitu Singh, is a state-level cricketer. He studied engineering and was a National Olympiad Winner in Physics.

After he started participating in theatre and dance, he rarely had time for studies, resulting in several backlogs which ultimately made him leave DCE. He completed only three years of the four-year course before dropping out to pursue an acting career. A shell-shocked film industry posted tributes on Twitter. "Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless...I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I'd enjoyed the film and wish I'd been a part of it. Such a talented actor...may God give strength to his family," Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar wrote. "No No No!!!!! Horrible heartbreaking news of the passing of #SushantSinghRajput ! Shocking & sad beyond words!!! Goodbye Sushant.. you were such a wonderful performer and had such a long long way to go! Don't know what you were going through but I'm sorry for your suffering! Red heart (sic)," Swara Bhaskar posted, condoling his death. "The news of Sushant Singh Rajput's death is truly sad. What a tragic loss???? Deepest condolences to his family & loved ones. May his soul find eternal peace," actor Ajay Devgn wrote. Abhishek Bachchan tweeted: "This is just so shocking. A wonderful talent. RIP Sushant".
