Project Meridian has always been kinda low on my tier list of stories, but I still found it both fun and fascinating. It was an interesting reversal of roles usually found in the ASMR genre and all that. It has a niche and bizarre storyline going on that I do enjoy for its mystery and stranglehold on exposition

That said

They’re giving Marcus a memory modification I wasn’t expecting that also my overly-empathetic and sensitive ass was totally not feeling terrible hearing him sob like that or anything

And—Oh holy crap James is a Telepath or at least an empowered with skill in Telepathy and I knew he was magic but I wasn’t anywhere in the ballpark of thinking about Telepathy can he read Love’s mind if said mind isn’t organic?

When I started listening to PM I thought it was some funky sci-fi side-story somehow connected to the rest of the Redactedverse but not really, kinda like how Aaron and Ollie are just doing their own thing

But the sudden genre swap from sci-fi back into contemporary fantasy in the last couple PM videos has given me frickin’ whiplash—it’s practically not even a genre swap. It’s a genre merge where sci-fi and fantasy are crashing into each other like a pair of runaway freight trains and the result is gonna be awesome. Messy, definitely, but awesome

It’s like how Ivan’s story went from “regular unempowered yandere story” to deeply connected to the rest of the universe

But PM is doing that twice over holy frickin’ hell aaaaahhhhh
