Gala had been baking with an easy bake oven all day. She has chocolate batter all over her, but it was totally worth it! She had finally made the perfect chocolate cake for Father’s Day, even though it was dripping everywhere.

He’s unaware that there is such a thing called Father’s Day where most humans would do something nice for their father figures such as buy them presents, make them something or treat them to dinner. It takes all of Tommy’s self control not to scoff at such a ridiculous statement. He does, however, give his friend a stare so harsh that it could bore holes in the other’s skull. “Is that what you think? Is that what you all think? He’s being defensive, and he’ll probably realize this later tonight when he replays this moment in his head over and over again. Of course that’s what his friends think because it’s true. Why else would Billy, the perfect kid, been given a perfect life while Tommy, the awful bastard, been given nothing but awful thing after awful thing when their mother decided they should exist again? He deserved to be abandoned, and ostracized by everyone around him, mistreated wherever he went because he wasn’t good enough for anyone.

This wasn’t a thought he harbored often, but one that often cropped up whenever the anniversary of his sentence loomed near. That would always serve as a reminder of how utterly alone you really are when your back’s against the wall. Always a remind of how useless people will view you the second you fuck it all up.

There’s a bitter part of him wondering if any of that was included in his file in the Avengers’ database?

He’ll know he’s in the wrong later tonight, when he’s tossing and turning in bed, angry with himself for lashing out so quickly at one of the only people who cared about him, that wanted the best for him, that served as a constant reminder of everything worth looking forward to in human society.

But for now, anger comes to him first. Must be the good ole Maximoff gene kicking in here. “Look— if guys are just keeping me around to pity me, then lemme know now so I can stop wasting my time here and find something better to do with my life, alright?! I know I did nothing wrong, okay? So stop——— fucking pitying me for once in your life, okay?!”
