WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THE NEW MINIONS MOVIE IS ACTUALLY UNIRONICALLY PRETTY FUCKING AMAZING????? AKAJQKSJ LIKE ITS A GENUINELY ENJOYABLE MOVIE.

#like it’s not a great masterpiece or whatever #but it’s funny and the characters are genuinely easy to enjoy #it does treat the audience a little bit dumb in the whole ‘you can’t do things alone!’ bit but it is a heart warming moment #and it has nice little messages #besides it shows that it’s important to have patience with your peers and such #it’s a nice little message about dreams and somewhat power of friendship stuff #and did I say that the characters are enjoyable? Like woah I wanted to hug Gru so badly #the minions had characters of their own and it was fun! #even the characters that didn’t appear for a long time had pretty darn nice little characters #not incredibly fleshed out or whatever but STILL very nice simple fun characters #and the visuals had a little fun with themselves too #like it’s still your classic illumination bs but there were some funky momentd #moments* #and I liked how they used the whole 70s 80s aesthetic #like the places where quite… real yk #now I’ll shut up sorry no one wants to listen to me talking about fucking MINIONS #AND ALSO idk the characters felt kinda real?
