Hi, Red!! Hope all is well with you these days :) Is it hotter than Hades down there yet?

It's getting hot up here and it made me think of you so I thought I'd shoot you an ask :)

Also: I am REEEEALLY struggling to get through this ACOTAR series... Ugh. Book two IS better and I like Rhys (I did just read the nightmare scene though, that was really good) and Azriel but... it's still a struggle. How about you? Have you been able to finish the ACSAL trilogy?

Hey, sorry for the super late response - I got a new phone and took Tumblr and Insta off of it in an effort to limit my screen time, but then Sara needed my laptop because it has a webcam, so I’ve been pretty technology free for the last... too long, lol. 

It is unbearably hot these days, much hotter than last year, which probably means we’ve got a bad hurricane season coming on. How about y’all, enjoying the summer days that you love so much? 

I’m sorry you’re struggling. I do remember the first half of the second book being okay, but nothing special. But once I got to the second half I read it all in one sitting. But hey, not every book is for every person. Where are you now? I wonder if you’ve gotten to my favorite scene yet... Rhys is great, so is Lucien. Az reminds me of my old roommate. A lot. So much so that I picture him looking exactly like Twi. His story in the later books... no spoilers, but I think you’ll continue to like him. 

I haven’t read any more. Sorry. Things have been so busy here with life stuff... plus I finished my first novel, so I’ve been talking to and trying to read a bunch of Indie authors works so I can ask questions about editing and publishing processes if I decide to go that route. Like I said, it’s just been crazy busy, but things should slow down around September, and hopefully I’ll be able to pick up the next two then and just binge read the heck out of them.

top 5 prettiest places you've visited

Oh Lord this is so dificult! I may not have been mamy places but the few I have seen had si many beutiful sighs. I will do my best to stay consise ^_^

1. The Valentia Island coast

Am I byased because this is my home island? Per haps. But truely nothing makes me feel quiet as calm as the Valentia coast, ether the rocks that almost look like starefases into the ocean or the patches of lucsious green. The isels in the distance look wonderful too, and they certanly gave me mcuh to wonder about as a child who spent most of his days with his head up in the clouds haha. The pictures above are from the last time I went there soem 2 years ago by the way :)

2. Kilmore Graveyard

This is the cemetery at Valentia Island and I love it to pisces. It has been such an inportant spot for me growing up, I have many fond memories of visitjng it to help my grandmother or my godfather maintain it and have a chat with the dead on the wekeneds. Further more its were my ancesyors are buried! The pyramid-like mounds ok the 3rd picture with the pyramidlike mounds shows me grandfather and grandaunts resting place, whiel the flowers on the last one are said to grow from when Sadhbh, the founder of what used to be our clan, rests. They said the Mac Miachs allways had a oenchant for feeding the erth eseptioanlly well x)

3. Wexford beaches

The coast is far too nostalgia indusing for those who come from an ilsand, I supose. The Wexford coast difers from it enough that it doesnt only make me think dondly of the past it also maks me long to conect with it and keep building new memoirs. Specialty as of these past few monts :) <3

4. An abandoned school in the outskirts of Fethard-on-Sea

Once upon a time when Mel came over from Sctoland, we grabbed some bikes and rode over 2 hours to a nearby town because we wanted to visit the grave yard there. We ended up stambling upon this lovely yet derlit school too. It was not terribly big but most of its surface was coved in ivy and moss and there were so many tiny flowers groing every where. The sun set was specaly lovely there :) I dont have many pictures to show for this one aside from this little woden charm we found, but as an acsal photographer I'm certin @watchfuleyeleans has plenty ;)

5. Skellig Michael

I have no picures of my own for this since I have only ben there as a child so I snaged one off Google hehe. The medival monasteries at Skellig Michael have allways awaken such a depe sense of wonder in me, I used to love running there and imagining I was a fabtasy cratúir living some form of adventure. It looks particlarly misterious on foggy days too, and most of them tend to be fogu. Even as a tenager whenever I had the chsnve I would ride me bike to the cliffs on the mainalnd because there's where you get the best view of the Skellig iles. It might be one of the things I miss the most about Kerry :')

L’edizione 2018 conferma: luogo di partenza sarà il Ponte Meier simbolo della nuova Alessandria; luogo d’arrivo tornerà ad essere Piazza della Libertà. Il valore simbolico del percorso si riflette nello slogan “UNIAMO LE SPONDE!” parte fissa del marchio StraAlessandria, a testimonianza dello spirito di solidarietà della gara e della nostra comunità. Questa 23° edizione fa suo l’appello di solidarietà per la difesa dell’attività produttiva della BORSALINO che è patrimonio economico e storico della nostra città: BORSALINO VIVE NELL’IDENTITÀ DI TUTTI GLI ALESSANDRINI NEL MONDO! Venerdì 11 maggio 2018 corriamo con Borsalino in testa e nel cuore. Le attività progettuali programmate grazie alle risorse che la gara 2018 mette a disposizione sono:

I GIOVANI PROGETTANO PER LA CITTÀ Viene messa a disposizione, a un gruppo di giovani già formati e con esperienza nel campo della progettazione, la somma necessaria per elaborare una proposta di recupero urbano e di rivitalizzazione di un’ area storica della città individuando un percorso concreto di fattibilità, le possibili fonti di finanziamento, il ruolo della società e delle istituzioni. In particolare la proposta dovrà individuare possibilità di riutilizzo condiviso per attività culturali, economiche e occupazionali. La proposta è gestita in collaborazione ICS Onlus – ACSAL – Comune di Alessandria.

DIRE CUCIRE ACCUDIRE Il progetto, al suo secondo anno, impegna giovani rifugiati formati professionalmente in laboratori: di comunicazione linguistica, di sartoria e di cura alla persona. Le attività intraprese: percorsi Clil di insegnamento delle materie scolastiche in lingua veicolare; apertura della sartoria FIDIA in Via Dossena 27; assistenza a persone in stato di necessità. Il progetto si avvale anche del contributo della Fondazione SociAL, di associazioni (Social Domus, Cambalace, Auser), di collaborazioni private (Centro Down, Coompany, Cissaca, San Benedetto) e istituzionali (Istituto Scolastico Fermi-Nervi, Prefettura, Comune e Provincia).

CAMBOGIA E TANZANIA LA COOPERAZIONE DI ALESSANDRIA NEL MONDO Cento nuovi allacciamenti all’acqua potabile in Cambogia per le famiglie povere nella provincia di Kampong Thom agli acquedotti realizzati da ICS consorzio e implementati da ICS Onlus: n° 50 allacciamenti a Staung e di n° 50 allacciamenti a Taing Krasaing. Con questo i due acquedotti arriveranno cosi a servire 18000 abitanti. Gambe per correre e braccia per giocare in Tanzania al centro di riabilitazione fisioterapica Cheshire Home a Miali, provincia di Dodoma, cuore della Tanzania, dove da dodici anni il Dott. Carlo Origo, primario di Ortopedia dell’ospedale infantile di Alessandria, interviene con una equipe in prevalenza alessandrina. Centinaia di bambini dei villaggi operati e riabilitati. La festa sportiva sarà per tutti con: la straragazzi, la partecipazione degli atleti diversamente abili e la gara insieme ai detenuti della CR San Michele e della CC Cantiello Gaeta.
