GoV Races

The world of Theia is inhabited by many “Races” that cluster together in communities. There are many intelligent creatures on the planet, but Races specifically refers to a chosen collection of intelligent humanoids.

Humans

Humans are by far one of the most populous of the Races, boasting one of the highest rates of reproduction at the cost of a shorter life span. They are mainly found in the Northern parts of the continent Astatia, in an Empire named Pentagaul.

Elves

Elves are also a very common Race in the world. They do not reproduce as often, but live for incredible amounts of time (the oldest Elf being recorded to have lived for 550 years). They make up most of the population of the continent of Ickthea in the North. Their nation is a relatively new Empire named Belheim.

Marrymen

Marrymen are a Race that live in scattered nations across the world, the most influential a nation named Astria. Marrymen, on a geological timescale, are a relatively new Race. They came about when Humans and Elves began to marry and reproduce with one another. Because of this they are also referred to as Half Elves, and live about twice as long as a human.

Dwarves

Dwarves live in the Southern part of Astatia, mostly within the Kloss Republic. They are about 2/3 the size of a Human, and live about as long as Marrymen do. Dwarves have the highest reproduction rate, but due to cultural norms they do not tend to want large families.

Hellions

Hellions live on the most Eastern parts of Ickthea, in a nation called Ababa. They were once human, their blood mixed in with infernal blood long ago. They have devlish horns and tails, and have unique skin tones like red and purple. Other than appearance, and a few other quirks, they are similar to Humans. 

Emberthals

Emberthals are the largest Race, usually boasting more weight and height. An average Emberthal can expect to be about 7 feet tall. They are incredibly hardy, living in the most rough parts of Central Astatia. The only City State they have left is named Alakiri. They live about twice as long as Humans do. They do not reproduce often, as they are one of the only Races who have cycles of reproduction.

Gnomes

Gnomes are the shortest of the Races, 1/2 the size of Humans. At most they can live for about 70 years, and they tend to have larger families. They live in the Eastern parts of Astatia, largely preferring not to live in large communities. 

Hominin

Hominins are similar to Humans in a lot of ways. They live slightly longer, typically have the same amount of children, and are similarly sized. The main difference is that Humans appear more ape like, while Hominins appear more monkey like. They mostly live on the Western parts of Astatia, in a nation named Sewsung.

Lizor

Lizor are a reptilian Race of humanoids who live by themselves in the Western archipelago of Sol’ Cen. Occasionally they venture to the main continents for travel, though their nation is prosperous on its own. They are the same size as humans, and live an average of 300 years (the second longest behind Elves). They reproduce cyclically, tending for 5-8 eggs at a time. The survival rate is only a quarter, the lowest of any of the Races.
