NVIDIA will introduce the RTX 40 Super lineup before CES 2024, according to ITHome
Previous leaks indicated that NVIDIA is preparing to release video cards in the RTX 40 Super series. These will replace some models of the RTX 40 series. According to new insider information, the release of these new graphics accelerators will not happen at CES 2024, but a bit earlier. ITHome, citing insider Bopantang, reports that NVIDIA will present the RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Super, and RTX 4070 Ti Super on January 8th — two days before the start of CES 2024. It seems that NVIDIA has other plans for the actual press conference. For example, the company may present new artificial intelligence accelerators, considering that this is currently the most promising direction both in terms of technological development and in attracting additional investments.
Tumblr media
Regarding the new consumer video cards, according to information leaked online, the RTX 4080 Super will be 3–5% more powerful than its predecessor. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will be faster than the base version by 15%. The RTX 4070 Super will outpace the RTX 4070 by about the same percentage. Overall, the RTX 40 Super lineup can be considered a minor update. However, if NVIDIA also maintains retail prices at the non-Super version level, it will be a great gesture from the company, showing that the consumer segment is not forgotten in favor of the business of AI accelerators. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, 4070 Ti SUPER, and 4080 SUPER to start selling in January
Tumblr media
NVIDIA is preparing the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER lineup, which will be presented on January 8 at the CES 2024 exhibition. After the presentation, NVIDIA will allow board partners to begin marketing campaigns for their respective lineups. A recent update has allowed leak specialists to learn about the delivery dates of these cards, which, as reported by ITHome, are already being prepared. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER announcement: January 8. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER: January 17. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER: January 24. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER: January 31. The RTX 40 SUPER family of graphics cards will be presented on the same day, but their actual availability will vary. NVIDIA intends to launch all three products within January, with the RTX 4070 SUPER being the first to hit the market with a launch date of January 17, followed by the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on January 24, and finally the RTX 4080 SUPER on January 31. All cards will be released a week apart, giving reviewers enough time for testing and partners time for marketing their latest products.
Tumblr media
So far, there's no word on NVIDIA's own Founders Edition design. Partners will offer a range of new and updated non-reference designs, although NVIDIA has the opportunity to slightly refresh its design, possibly with a new "SUPER" logo. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, expected to use the AD103-400 (PG139 SKU 355) graphics processor with 10240 cores, 320 TMUs, 112 ROPs, and 64 MB of L2 cache memory. The chip will use a 256-bit bus interface, which suggests 16 GB of GDDR6X memory, the same as the RTX 4080. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER will have the same power as the RTX 4080 at 320 watts. The video card is expected to be 3-5% faster than the RTX 4080, which is not a significant advantage, but custom models will provide a performance boost of almost 10%. NVIDIA has not yet determined prices for the SUPER lineup, but this slight increase in performance should help the card perform faster than the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, and if it is priced between $1000 and $1100, it will be very competitive. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will be equipped with either the AD103-275 / AD102-175 (PG141 SKU 323) graphics processor with 8448 cores in both variants and 48 MB of L2 cache memory. The video card will also be equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, which is 4 GB more than the RTX 4070 Ti, and will support a 256-bit bus interface. The video card will retain a 285 watt TGP power, the same as the regular version. In terms of performance, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB will provide an average performance increase of 15% compared to the non-SUPER variant and should compete well with the Radeon RX 7900 XT at a possibly lower price. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is said to come in AD104-350 or AD103-175 SKU (PG141 SKU 335) configurations with the same 7168 cores in both variants. The graphics processor is expected to receive 48 MB of L2 cache memory. It seems that this card will operate with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory through the same 192-bit bus interface. As for the RTX 4070 SUPER, the card's TBP power will be 20 watts higher than the existing 4070 at 220 watts. In terms of performance, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is expected to be approximately 14% faster than the RTX 4070. The video card will also receive a new CEM 5.1 Gen5 power connector. Existing RTX 4070 video cards come either with an 8-pin or a 12-pin power connector (supplied with an adapter). In terms of performance, the NVIDIA RTX 40 SUPER is expected to deliver approximately the following performance based on reference specifications: RTX 4080 SUPER compared to RTX 4080: an average of 3-5% faster. RTX 4070 Ti SUPER compared to RTX 4070 Ti: an average of 15% faster. RTX 4070 SUPER compared to RTX 4070: an average of 14% faster. The trio of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER will be presented at the CES 2024 exhibition, with a launch presumably in the same month. Read the full article

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will be released on January 24 and will feature 16 GB of GDDR6X memory - the 7900 XT is no longer needed.
Tumblr media
Intensifying competition in the high-end segment Gamers around the world are anticipating the update of the GeForce 4000 series of graphics cards. The new SUPER versions are expected to replace the existing models and bring a performance boost while keeping prices at approximately the same level.
Tumblr media
On January 8, at the CES 2024 exhibition, NVIDIA will present three models: GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. The first will receive a 22% increase in the number of CUDA cores, 7168 instead of 5888, leading to an increase in TDP from 200 to 225 watts. The GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER will be based on the full, uncut version of the AD103 graphics processor with 10240 CUDA cores, only 5% more than the regular GeForce RTX 4080. However, perhaps the most impressive is the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, as, in addition to a 10% increase in speed, it will also receive 16 GB of GDDR6X memory instead of 12 GB. Thus, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti eliminates the main drawback of insufficient VRAM volume, and the new SUPER model becomes one of the most interesting in terms of the balance between performance, technology, future-proofing, and a reasonable price for a graphics card of this class. Apparently, with the release of the updated GeForces, the competition in the high-end segment will become even more intense. The additional 4 GB of memory in the slightly more power-hungry Radeon RX 7900 XT stops making it such an obvious choice even for gamers purchasing a video card for the long term. Nvidia ends mass production of RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080. Super models expected as early as
Tumblr media
January It remains unclear whether the current versions will disappear completely The announcement of the GeForce RTX 40 Super graphics cards is scheduled for early January. And we have already heard that some of the new cards are not intended to expand the RTX 40 lineup, but to replace existing models. And now, it is reported that mass production of the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 has already ceased.
Tumblr media
This refers specifically to the cessation of mass production, so it cannot be definitively stated that the standard RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 will disappear from the market, but at least for the latter, we have already heard such reports. As a reminder, according to available data, the RTX 4080 Super will retain the same AD103 GPU as the current version but will get 10,240 CUDA cores compared to the 9728 cores of the RTX 4080. The bus and memory size will remain unchanged: 256 bits and 16 GB. It was reported that the new version will be released at a price of $1200, the same as the current version started at. In the case of the RTX 4070 Ti Super, it was previously reported that the new model would be $100 more expensive, so the old one could well remain on the market. However, Nvidia could still focus on the new model, simply producing fewer RTX 4070 Ti units. Read the full article
