Dear Spooz Shareholder,

By now, you are aware that I recently became the Chairman and CEO of Spooz. I am a 63-year-old Korean businessman and a US Citizen. I received my MBA from Rutgers University 24 years ago and have headquartered my businesses in the US, mostly in NJ, which includes Student Housing for Rutgers University students, Residential Multifamily apartments, Education and Day Care centers for children as well as a Multi-National commodities business. De tijd en inzicht die ik in de gevangenis heb gekregen heb benut en heb ik het negatieve naar het positieve kunnen ombuigen. Hierdoor help ik veel mensen op velerlei manieren. Daarnaast heb ik een eigen stichting die zich inzet voor gedetineerden in Indonesië en Suriname. Ik ben getrouwd en vader van 3 kinderen en naast mijn gezin ben ik ook dominee geworden. Wat ik mooi vind aan het pastoraal werk is dat ik mensen help en mijn eigen ervaringen gebruik om hen te bereiken. Ik stel mij dan kwetsbaar op waardoor ik op confronterende manier mensen kan bereiken. In ons cultuur is dit van wezenlijk belang zodat zij zich hierin kunnen herkennen. Ik krijg van mijn omgeving ook bemoedigende reacties. Wat ik belangrijk vind is dat mensen mij ook spiegelen zodat ik ook zelf kan groeien. Door dit te ondergaan ben ik gekomen waar ik nu sta. Veel mensen in onze cultuur hebben potenties en talenten echter vraagt het om karakter en kracht om hier wat mee te doen. Ik merk dat we in onze cultuur weinig tegen elkaar kunnen zeggen en we ons direct aangevallen voelen wat op zich jammer is. Feedback is een goed gegeven en kan constructief werken. Je moet er wel voor openstaan. Ik miste dat toen en hoop ik dat de 3e en 4e generatie het anders zal oppakken. Ik ben blij om een Molukker te zijn want zo ben ik geboren. Wij mogen als volk trots zijn omdat wij iets hebben wat andere volkeren niet hebben; wij zijn niet alleen Alifoeren en strijders maar zijn wij ook nederig en hebben innerlijke beschaving. Mijn definitie van het Molukszijn zit het hem daarin en hoeven we ons daardoor niet aan te passen omdat we alles in ons hebben. Wat ik de huidige generatie zou willen meegeven is handelingen van het verleden niet een belemmering moet zijn voor de visie en doelstellingen van de toekomst. Wees open, transparant en kwetsbaar maar wees vooral zuiver zodat je jezelf daarin altijd blijft behouden. De volgende generaties zou ik mee willen geven dat wanneer ze ooit eens kinderen krijgen, ze niet moeten vergeten, tegen hen te zeggen van ze te houden. Dit is zo essentieel en doet hen groeien in hun eigen kracht. Wanneer ik de kinderen spreek vertellen we elkaar altijd dat we van elkaar houden. Destijds werd dit bij ons thuis nooit tegen mij gezegd. Laat de liefde altijd blijvend zijn, het is verspilde energie om boos te zijn.

A New International Currency

The BRICS nations are interested in creating a new international currency that permits cross border transactions without reliance on the dollar. The benefits of the dollar are as follows:

1) It is freely convertible without capital controls, unlike many currencies like the yuan or the ruble. 2) Its central bank, the U.S. Federal Reserve, has a statutory mandate to control monetary supply to keep dollar inflation within a safe range (≈ 2-4%) and the U.S. at full employment (≈ 4-6% unemployment), as opposed to the People’s Bank of China, who keeps the value of Chinese exports low. 3) It can be used for any and all transactions in the largest economy in the world. 4) It is backed by the full faith and credit of the richest government in the world. 5) It is issued by a quasi-democratic country that has mechanisms for ensuring transparency related to its monetary supply. However, a BRICS currency is not a terrible idea. Here’s my suggestion for how to establish an alternative to the dollar for whatever nations might want it. 1) Location

1a) Locate the main central reserve bank in a relatively neutral, wealthy country, say the United Arab Emirates. 1b) For each sponsoring government that signs the treaty governing the reserve bank, locate at least one reserve bank branch in that country and an additional branch for each 100 million residents of that country if it has a population above 100 million.

2) Governance

2a) Create a board that is appointed by all sponsoring governments, with one vote for each sponsoring government. 2b) The Board will chose a governor for each reserve bank branch for a single four-year term at any given branch based on ranked choice voting from at least three nominees nominated by the sponsoring country where that reserve bank branch is located. 2c) The governors will choose a former governor by ranked choice voting to serve as the president of the central reserve bank for a single four-year term. 2d) The Board will choose a former governor by ranked choice voting to serve as the Auditor of the central reserve bank for a single four-year term.

3) Audit

3a) Require each sponsoring government to conduct an audit of the same number of reserve bank branches in other sponsoring countries as there are reserve bank branches in that sponsoring country. 3b) Prohibit each sovereign government from auditing or interfering in the operations of the reserve bank branch in its own country. 3c) The Auditor will set a schedule for audits of reserve bank branches by sponsoring governments that will not permit audits of reserve bank branches by sponsoring governments that have territorial disputes with or active hostilities against the country in which those reserve bank branches are located. 3d) The Auditor will hire an independent accounting firm to audit the central reserve bank and will receive and publish all of the audits conducted by each sponsoring government. 3e) The Auditor will hire an independent accounting firm to conduct audits of any reserve bank branches for which another sponsoring country is unavailable to audit and will charge all the other sponsoring countries for the audit on a per capita population basis. 4) Deposits

4a) Permit any resident of a country or government to deposit the sovereign currency of any other sponsoring countries or listed precious metals in any reserve bank branch in their country. 4b) Prohibit citizens or governments from depositing their own sovereign currency in the central reserve bank or any reserve bank branches, except when conducting a documented transaction with a party using the sovereign currency of another sponsoring government and the party is seeking to convert their local sovereign currency into the sovereign currency of another sponsoring government. 4c) Prohibit anyone from depositing the sovereign currency of the country in which a reserve bank branch is located in that reserve bank branch. 4d) Create an account for each depositor that measures their deposit in milligrams of gold based on the average ratio in market price between gold and that sovereign currency or listed reserve metal from the past year, i.e. the scheduled price. 4e) On a quarterly basis, require each sponsoring government to redeem its own currency with the currencies of other sponsoring governments or listed reserve metals and including the same amount of gold withdrawn by the citizens of that country in the previous quarter.

5) Withdrawals

5a) Permit any individual depositor to withdraw up to 10 grams of gold in any calendar year, if that individual depositor has held an account for over a year. 5b) Otherwise allow unlimited withdrawals in reserve certificates in denominations of 1, 2, and 5 in milligrams, centigrams, decigrams, and grams of gold. 5c) Permit unlimited purchases of other listed reserve metals from the reserve bank with those reserve certificates based on that listed reserve metal’s market price, if above the scheduled price, or at the scheduled price, if above the market price. 5d) Do not permit the issuance of reserve certificates except in exchange for deposits or in payment for bonds issued by the reserve bank.

6) Bonds

6a) Establish interest rates designed to keep inflation of reserve certificates between 2-4%. 6b) Sell bonds to any investor that can be purchased with reserve certificates or listed reserve metals at the scheduled prices and are redeemed by the reserve bank with reserve certificates.

7) Legal Tender

7a) Require all sponsoring countries to accept reserve certificates as lawful tender for any and all transactions public or private. 7b) Authorize the minting of coins in denominations of 1, 2, and 5 milligrams of gold made of metals that are roughly equal to those amounts. 7c) Authorize the printing of paper reserve certificates in the denominations of 1, 2, and 5 in centigrams, decigrams, and grams of gold. 7d) Authorize the minting of coins and bullion in all listed reserve metals in denominations of 1, 2, and 5 dekagrams, hectograms, and kilograms. 8) Loans

8a) Permit lending to a party who is trying to import a good or service between two countries with sponsoring governments. 8b) Such loans should be denominated in gold at market interest rates and payable in reserve certificates or listed reserve metals. 9) Bank Insolvencies

9a) The reserve bank shall always offer a bid to purchase any insolvent bank in a sponsoring country at the value of guaranteeing the full value of individual depositors accounts.

L’idée que les agresseurs sont à 98% des hommes et parmi eux essentiellement, des pères remet en question toute l’organisation sociale du « chef de famille », représentant du père qui est au-dessus d’un ensemble bcp plus grand, par ex le roi de France était considéré comme le père de ses sujets sur qui il avait autorité et protection et puis le Président de la République est présenté comme le père de la Nation. Traditionnellement le roi étai sacré de manière religieuse, ce qui veut dire qu’au-dessus il y a un autre père qui est Dieu, le père, dans les religions monothéistes. Le curé est appelé « mon père », le mot abbé vient de « papa » en araméen, pareil pour le mot pape en latin et puis il y a le patron, dans la tradition paternaliste, on considère que le chef d’entreprise doit se considérer comme le père de ses employés en leur fournissant une protection. A Ravenloft Reading Recommendation (ARRR!)

Alright, everyone! It's almost Halloween, and you (probably) recently got Curse of Strahd and Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft but you want to know more about these terror-filled prisons. Well, grab your adventuring gear and delve with me into the Domains of Dread! This'll be a long one, so strap in and remember: Mistipedia is your friend.

This list covers Second Edition Ravenloft, Third Edition Ravenloft, and the novels. I can only hope I got everything in this.

Let's start with...

Second Edition Ravenloft

Realm of Terror

This is the original campaign setting for 2e Ravenloft, coming with 144 pages of rules, NPCs and domains, as well as a bunch of other goodies (maps, card stock sheets, and a transparent map overlay). Realm of Terror predates the Grand Conjunction timeline, so in terms of in-game time... it's a bit out of date. A lot of it, according to John Mangrum, is incoherent and many of the dates in this contradict others, so be careful about what you use here.

- You get... Rules for the Demiplane of Dread, alternate rules for Classes, Spells, the Dark Powers Check, fear and horror rules, as well as new spells, new magical items, and the different Dark Lords and Domains you can explore.

Ravenloft Campaign Setting (Box)

The revised campaign setting for 2nd Edition. Takes Grand Conjunction into account. Not to be confused for the book from 3rd Edition.

Domains of Dread

Third and final version of Ravenloft in the days of TSR. Introduces clusters and pocket domains, as well as new secret societies and several new classes. Postdates Requiem: The Grim Harvest.

Masque of the Red Death

A sub-setting of Ravenloft, taking place on a 1890's Gothic Earth.

These have Van Richten lore in it, so I would read these if not for the main content.

So, lately we found an old K3 cd from some advertising action (it’s the original Ster aan de hemel release). However, the back of the cd cover said that the Teleromeo videoclip was also included on the cd. However it didn’t work in the dvd player, but when I put the CD into the computer I found that it is a CD-ROM?!? However, I couldn’t play the video from the CD-ROM interface either, but I could eventually play it in another media player!

Anyway, the main point here is that the CD-ROM wasn’t very interesting apart from being very old (there are hyperlinks that still work!), but I did like the biography part:

Highlights:

Karen is constant in her fear for spiders, she says so here, in Hallo K3 and I’m pretty sure also in K3 en het Magische Medaillon

The person who wrote this didn’t do a spelling check, so are ‘champignons’ written as ‘chamipgnons’ and is Kristel talking about ‘Karin’

I also always thought that Karen says in the K3 in Ahoy show that her favourite song is Parels instead of Op Elkaar

Opportunément instrumentalisés par les ignares et les canailles de façon éhontée, les noms de Freud et de Marx se doivent aujourd’hui d’être réaffirmés dans la profonde parenté de leur corpus.

Le lecteur persévérant penché avec un minimum de rigueur sur leurs textes découvre derechef que:

• d’une part la pensée de Marx ne saurait être lue dans ses nuances et complexités sans faire retour sur l’œuvre de Hegel (tant sa dette auprès du penseur de la négativité absolue est immense)

• et d’autre part Freud et Marx sont les deux seuls penseurs à proposer la précise topologie d’une « autre scène » sur laquelle se déciderait le sens de ce qu’on appelle communément — sans y penser — la «réalité».

Ainsi chez Marx,

• le «fétichisme de la marchandise» révélant les «lubies théologiques» sous la surface rationnalisante des calculs, conduisant à substituer aux “rapports entre les gens” des “rapports entre les choses”…

fait écho à la thèse freudienne

• d’une phénoménalité de la vie quotidienne ne pouvant faire sens que sur la toile de fond d’une archéologie du désir, médiatisé par le langage (l’ordre symbolique), l’inconscient révélant par ses lapsus, actes manqués et rêves, la division constitutive du sujet, sa non-transparence à lui-même…

Le parallèle est saisissant, exploré bien sûr par Jacques Lacan : "L’origine de la notion de symptôme n’est pas à chercher dans Hippocrate, mais dans Marx, dans la liaison qu’il fait le premier entre le capitalisme et quoi? — le bon vieux temps, ce qu’on appelle le temps féodal”.

Ainsi, à l’énigme freudienne de la subjectivité «Wo es war soll ich werden» Marx aurait proposé une forme sociale «Là où était le capitalisme, le communisme (conçu comme ce qui est «commun» à toute l’humanité) devra advenir» ?

Oui mais pas si vite. Car justement le sujet (agent) de la transformation fait presque toujours l’objet du plus profond oubli “qu’on dise reste oublié derrière ce qui se dit dans ce qui s’entend” (Lacan)

Et bien que Marx ait lui-même utilisé parfois “prolétariat” comme synonyme de la “classe ouvrière”, la lecture attentive de son œuvre laisse clairement entendre que le “prolétariat” désigne finalement l’opérateur de la Vérité, c’est à dire l’agent engagé de la lutte révolutionnaire…

Donc bien que le lien soit originel entre la classe ouvrière en tant que groupe social, et le prolétariat en tant que position de combat militant pour la Vérité universelle, les deux niveaux ne sauraient être confondus.

Être prolétaire implique d’assumer une position subjective (de lutte des classes, visant la Rédemption par la Révolution) qui peut, en principe, être adoptée par n’importe quel individu à condition qu’il incarne la « dit-mention » du sujet… divisé, forcément dit–visé. Ayant pris partie, donc.

La position “neutre” étant en effet une vue de l’esprit, une falsification, un déni du réel (il n’y a pas de position neutre) chacun est appelé à se déterminer en prenant partie, c’est en cela que consiste le premier moment d’assumation de la position subjective.

Le deuxième moment fondateur étant de parler en son nom, en assumant sur son nom l’intégralité des conséquences de ses paroles considérées alors comme des actes de langage.

Des actes de langage à l’opposé du bavardage…

Ainsi la faillite et les horreurs inhumaines du socialisme réel ne sauraient être imputés à l’œuvre de Karl Marx, qui reste encore aujourd’hui largement visionnaire et d’une impressionnante actualité , cependant sa bonne lecture, une lecture attentive et structurante ne saurait faire l’impasse ni sur celle de Hegel (pour la filiation théorique) ni sur celle de Freud (pour l’indispensable contrepoint subjectif amenant au concept de responsabilité).

La responsabilité — requise notamment par ces temps de crise — ne saurait s’aborder sans considérer, comme l’a démontré Lacan, que le sujet du cogito n’est autre que le sujet de l’inconscient freudien. Plus de Grand Autre sur lequel se dédouaner…

Pour en finir avec la difficulté d’accès au concept de prolétariat chez Marx, un extrait de la thèse de 3e cycle de Slavoj Žižek : “Philosophie entre le symptôme et le fantasme” soutenue à Paris VIII en 1986:

“Chez Kant, le sujet donne la forme universelle à un contenu substantiel de provenance transcendentale (la Chose en soi), on reste donc dans le cadre de l’opposition entre le sujet (le réseau transcendental des formes possibles de l’expérience) et la substance (la Chose en soi transcendante) tandis que pour Hegel il s’agit justement de saisir la substance comme sujet.

La connaissance n’est pas une percée jusqu’au contenu substantiel qui serait en lui-même indifférent au processus de connaissance, l’acte de connaissance est plutôt à l’avance inclus dans son “objet” substantiel, le chemin vers la vérité fait partie de la vérité elle-même.

Pour éclairer cet accent hegelien, prenons un exemple, peut-être surprenant, témoignant de l’héritage hegelien dans le matérialisme historique et confirmant la thèse de Lacan que le marxisme n’est point une “vision du monde” (Lacan 1975).

L’affirmation fondamentale du matérialisme historique est celle du rôle révolutionnaire et de la mission historique du prolétariat, or le prolétariat ne devient sujet révolutionnaire effectif qu’au moyen de l’appropriation de cette connaissance de son rôle historique.

Le matérialisme historique ne consiste pas en une “connaissance objective du rôle historique du prolétariat”, elle est en ce sens auto-référentielle, incluse dans son objet de connaissance.

Le premier point en question est donc le caractère “performatif” du processus de connaissance : quand le sujet pénètre derrière le rideau de l’apparence vers l’essence cachée, il pense découvrir ce qui était là depuis toujours et méconnaît qu’en avançant derrière le rideau, il a lui-même porté là ce qu’il y a trouvé.”
