i understand why many fountain pen users prefer subdued, more professional ink colours but the thing about me is i dont use my pens much outside of drawing and writing in my planner or oc idea notebook so i’m armed with three jinhaos and one kakuno each with a different shimmer ink at all times

also signing documents with in glittery pink is awesome

#like okay. if an ink isnt a waterproof one (sketchink has been great for watercolours!) than i AT LEAST need some pretty crazy shading #but im not gonna lie i got a bunch of samples a while back and most were funky glittery sheening shading things #and one was like a normal dark green #its a beautiful dark green. but i like. never fill my pens with it #i had a pen with it and after a week i switched it to a gray with gold sparkles #i NEED glitter you dont understand #a few downsides to my glittery fountain pen situation: #1) with fountain pens in general since you dont press hard at all carbon paper is my mortal nemesis #like i already struggled with carbon paper before (had to rewrite so many documents twice 😔) #but with a fountain pen? forget about it hjksdlfJHFKlds #AND 2) the other day in class i lent a kid the pen i was using so he could sign in a form #without thinking about the fact that it was my shark shaped jinhao with 1) is a fountain pen with most people arent used to writing with and #2) was filled with a sample of ferris wheel april showers (glittery light gray) which is decently wet #i hoped they survived that short experience with my shark pen. i gotta start carrying around normal pens again for lending purposes LOL #edit: oh man and at the time the nib in there was an old FPR m nib but today i switched it to an old FPR flex #imagine ur first fountain pen experience being a flex nib.... chaos reigns
