PIC INFO: Spotlight on Ulysses Samson Armstrong, a.k.a., U.S.A., a.k.a., the Ultimate Special Agent, super-powered, costumed crime-fighter and an homage/pastiche of Marvel's Captain America. Created by Alan Moore & Rick Veitch for the "1963" comic-book series published by Image Comics.
LIFE PRIOR TO "1963"/ORIGIN: "Nothing is known about Ulysses Samson Armstrong's life prior to becoming U.S.A.
He became U.S.A. by the 1920's and a member of the Gangbusters.
During World War II in the 1940's, he fought Nazis as a member of the Victory Vanguard, along with the Fightin' Fury, King Zero, American Beauty, and the original Hypernaut, and met his future self from 1963, along with other members of the Tomorrow Syndicate. He was also best friends with Hypernaut since the war."

U.S.A. gets his powers from a substance called Vitamin Omega. The following powers include:

Enhanced Durability: U.S.A. was able to withstand at least four gunshots to the chest.

ORIGIN: Dan Stevens was flying in a prototype jet on the brink of disintegration, shortly before he was taken in by the tractor beam of an alien spaceship. He was operated on by the ship's technology in an attempt to save him. However, they were unsuccessful and transferred his consciousness into a G-Body, where he was reborn as Hypernaut.
He would later face villains such as Numberjack, Pi-Face, and the Chess Set (who would return in "Tales of the Uncanny" #41, "The Chilling Chimes of Checkmate")."

POWERS & ABILITIES:
Cybernetic Enhancement: After an unsuccessful attempt to save his life, his consciousness was transferred into a G-Body that also uses a Cerebro-Sphere.
Flight: Hypernaut's G-Body and Cerebro-Sphere both possess the power to fly.
Hyperbolts: Hypernaut has the ability to shoot blasts of energy called Hyperbolts."
