“I don’t think happiness is going to help every single situation.” She hummed. “Heh, you’re right, being a hero kind of means you have to be able to find the light in every situation, doesn’t it?” It was good if one was successful, too.
“I just don’t think everyone’s going to appreciate a smile, you know? Maybe I should practise acting less cheery and more... well, serious?” Akari wasn’t exactly known for that, though - she was a somewhat serious person, but only when it was important. “Or sympathetic. I don’t know, sounds kind of weird when I say it aloud, doesn’t it?”
Perhaps she was just being a little silly.
“You always know exactly what to say, Enomoto! Thank you.” It was moments like these she was glad to be friends with Enomoto, really. “Also, maybe next time you should attach some pipe cleaners to the stones?” Her elbows rested on her legs, hands joined together and chin resting on them. “Or would it not work if it wasn’t already part of the stone but sellotaped or glue?”
She was always curious to know more, in the end.

“I was just thinking, really. Angels don’t exist, you’re right, but do you ever think.. Maybe we treat heroes a lot like they’re angels? You know, as if they could solve every problem.” It was rare Akari really got into her thoughts about heroics, which was odd for someone in the hero course.
“It just makes me wonder whether the world is more terrifying than we thought, you know?”

“Hey, you’re a first year, aren’t you?” It was rare to spot anyone from the hero course that wasn’t with classmates, but apparently she’d managed to get lucky today. Akari was naturally a friendly person and she was aware of the importance of knowing as many other future heroes as possible - this had lead her to her goal of making friends with the first years whenever possible.
“What class are you in?” She questioned, curiously, eyes lit up with happiness. “What’s your quirk? Oh- What’s your name too? I heard you first years are supposed to be pretty powerful!” She hummed. “My name’s Koizumi Akari, I’m in class 2-A. It’s lovely to meet you!”

“God, I’m very, very frightened I’ll overdo it.”
“You don’t need to be frightened, Ido!” A bright smile was offered, although it was rare that smile ever disappeared from her face. “If you think you’re going to overdo things, then just step back for a moment, yeah?” Gently, she gripped her friend’s hand, pulling her towards the 2-A dorm building. “Come on! Let’s go do some stress baking!”
Maybe that would help her feel better? Akari wouldn’t know until they tried it, of course.
“Or well, I can bake and you can tell me about whatever’s plaguing you, alright? You know I’m always here to listen to you.” Even if sometimes, she wasn’t sure how to respond to what she heard. Sometimes, she didn’t want to listen at all - but a hero couldn’t remain closed off.
“What do you think about brownies?”

“Like what?” She tilted her head to the side slightly. “It isn’t like you’re going to be able to follow through with whatever plans you had left.” The hero she was interning with would find her soon enough - and she recognised this villain, somewhat, as someone they’d been trying to track down.
“Besides, sharing is caring! Isn’t it?”

“You have a point.” She nodded, laughing softly. “Social media definitely is dramatic, but I still think it’s more suited to time travel than anything because you can’t avoid drama if your friends can text you about it.”
