HEADCANON # 1 : Tyler can communicate with the dead, AND with the upside down. well, sort of. As far as dead people go, he can communicate like a normal medium would, feel energies, can communicate telepathically and can see visions if he tries and focuses really hard on one thing at a time. As for the upside down, if an individual is stuck in the upside down, they can’t communicate with him. They’re still ‘alive’. He can feel and see their energy, but it’s different from those who have passed on. If he tries hard enough he can maybe speak to them, but they won’t be able to respond to him, considering they’re still alive. He can tell whether or not a monster is near in the upside down as well.

HEADCANON #2: Tyler has a bunch of stick n poke tattoos. Never has he gotten one done professionally (unless you count his subject number). He’s thought about covering up the number on his wrist, and every once in awhile he still does, but he always decides to leave it there as a reminder of what he was and did, and that he’s stronger than that, even if he still does think he’s a piece of shit. He’s still better than anyone at that lab (aside from the other experiments). If anyone asks about his tattoos he’ll tell them about it (’I got this one ‘cause I was homesick’, ‘I got this one ‘cause I hate myself’, ‘I got this one ‘cause I thought the lyrics were cool’). However, if anyone asks about his number, he’ll get defensive and look away, responding with ‘I was a stupid kid, it means nothing’.
