Ah Speedwagon my love. I adore coming up with Ogre Street hcs. I'm even working on a fic about how my OC Amaryllis became England's most protected woman because she helped Speedwagon the night he got his face scar 👉👈

So here's some lovely Speedwagon/Ogre Street ideas I've had.

Speedwagon's life of crime began as a child. His family was poor and he was hungry. He realized shop owners don't pay much attention to grubby little kids, so he stole himself a pastry. He adored.

Speedwagon = Aladdin. He's a criminal with a good heart. And he looks out for kids

Don't you dare harm a child in front of Speedwagon or he will invent a new way to murder you.

He started carrying knives at age 8

He invented his saw blade hat at 17.

For a while when he was younger, his hair looked a lot like Caesar's. But he overheard someone calling a long haired man a "scoundrel" and decided to look his part.

He got his scar getting jumped on his way home one night. As he was fading out of consciousness, it was his right hand man Tattoo who fended off the attack and helped him.

Speedwagon sometimes sings to himself as he works. His voice is very nice, but he doesn't do it often.

Speedwagon loves hugs but does not receive them often.

Speedwagon adopted a stray cat some teens had been attacking and kept it safe. It was a little orange cat with one eye. He named it Eliot, after a composer he enjoyed, George Eliot.

Fun fact: a REO Speedwagon song came on as I was typing these so I guess even Speedwagon approved! 😜

I love first of all how you have taken the part of Ogre Street into account, and how that has developed attached to showing why Robert E.O Speedwagon is the way he is. I would love to know more about your OC! I think you are very focused on everything canonical that Araki presents us in his development of Speedwagon and I would be very interested to know how Amaryllis would merge into that canon! it's something I personally have to admit, I love it! I enjoy so much when they focus on developing the canon to give more weight to their own character.

So let's read headcanons!

I love that comparison you made with Aladdin! since she had also thought something similar at his young age. only that I had considered him an orphan. an orphan who seeks the greater good for an entire community of children who would in that case be his family. (I must confess that in the Plastic Beach Speedwagon arc I took it as a faithful reference to my own character: Nicolai Howlett! hehe> :))

Yes! Speedwagon imagined him as that unruly child who tries to be smarter than his opponent, but many times he has ended up in the dirty mud with his dirty face since his noble heart ends up accusing him. Do you have that headcanon that maybe had an idol when he was little? continuing with the Jojos retrospective. just like Josuke with his "savior or hero" maybe Speedwagon had a hero as a child, who was undoubtedly a delinquent man but saved him and his little gang! perhaps for the same reason he adopted that cap that he had, even inherited.

The wound part of him! I like to believe that he was someone malicious who did it to scare the group of criminals from him, like that when you insert the dagger and wait for the other to scream in pain to see his weakness. Maybe that happened with Speedwagon but he continued with the assurance of him like "go on, because hearing me scream you won't"

Now Speedwagon but older.

Singing? YES! OBVIOUSLY YES! I adore with all my soul. Speedwagon likes to hum tunes and feed little birds. they brighten their days as well as sing them a different melody every morning. and what to say about the hugs! It looks so soft that you could even sleep on his chest with the heat that emanates (hehe canon)

Speedwagon the salvator of orphan children and street kittens! for me that is printed, I love it.

I adore the detail of the kitten's name. he surely had many more kittens and raised them in the way that a bird can feel safe around a street cat. and it would be a tremendous analogy to how he was adopting his character as a street cat, to an adorable yellow bird.
