BRIEF BACKGROUND.

addison is conceived during an illicit love affair between bizzy forbes and the goddess, aphrodite. bizzy was deep in the closet and through the power of magical thinking and plausible deniability, convinced herself that the child she carried was her husband's.

addison's life would continue on normally until her final semester of her first year at college ( when she was 16 ).

this would be the first time she would ever see a monster but she chalked it up the weed brownies she accidentally ate as she managed to talk the monster down ( at the time, she wouldn't be aware that it was charmspeak). a week before she's supposed to start summer school, she was at broadway in nyc and instead of going to see the show she bought tickets for, she ended up following her satyr escort to CHB.

addison wouldn't be claimed by aphrodite for a whole year as the goddess (which we later find out) was quite wounded about her mother's deep denial and she only claims her the summer when addison confronts bizzy.

WEAPON.

name: velvetine type: sword description: velvetine is a uniquely enchanted weapon, initially appearing as an exquisite red lipstick with a sleek, obsidian casing. when activated by its demigod wielder, it transforms into a celestial bronze dagger with a blade resembling the soft texture of velvet, evoking both elegance and danger. abilities: velvetine can temporarily cast an invisibility cloak for a short duration. when the weapon is pointed at an ally, it radiates a resonance that can heal non-fatal wounds — it is most effective when wielder has a deep relationship with the receiver. velvetine has the power to conjure a protective flame around the wielder, a symbolic shield representing the enduring strength of passion. origin: forged by cain ethel scott, a boy who was the son of hephaestus. cain had a crush on addison since she first came to camp halfblood and the crush would persist until she got claimed. as a manifestation of his feelings ( and some poetic urge to defy the fates of their godly parents' fate of a ruined marriage ), he forged her a sword. unfortunately for cain, she would break his heart as apart of aphrodite's rite of passage.

DEMIGOD ABILITIES.

CHARMSPEAK : a form of hypnotism or rather, extreme persuasion. she rarely uses it (at least not on purpose)

AMOKINESIS : can be described as the ability to influence and/or manipulate emotions on varying degrees.

FLUENCY IN THE LANGUAGES OF LOVE: she's automatically fluent in any love languages, most notably french and italian.

FATAL FLAW: addison's fatal flaw is fear of rejection. being the daughter of aphrodite, and a child that came from an un-loving home, she has a deep fear of rejection. thus, when things get difficult, she's more likely to run first, reject first before being rejected herself.
