headcanons ( chrissy ).       relationship edition.

TW : this mentions triggering dynamics within her own family / relationships outside of her family. ( also if you write any of these characters please do not feel like we have to keep these dynamics at all. they are only to be used for general knowledge when it comes to chrissy and when she’s around other people )

laura cunningham :  chrissy and her mothers relationship is far from healthy. even at a young age, laura would push chrissy into doing cheerleading and to start eating healthier because she wanted chrissy to maintain her weight. there was a constant pressure with chrissy  and her weight. always making comments about the young girls physique, especially when she couldn’t fit into certain clothing items. vicious comments would follow and they would only be the half of it. as laura was also quite an alcoholic and her anger would only amplify when she drank. going on vicious screaming fits and outbursts of anger that would quickly turn into violence. chrissy is absolutely terrified of her own mother and what she could do to her. during one of her drunken moments, laura had even gotten a knife out and threatened to gut chrissy. resulting in a decent scar on chrissy’s stomach from that night, though everyone was told it was from chrissy simply be too clumsy. after the incident, laura broke into tears as she realized what she did. though instead of getting better , she only played the victim card for herself.  laura loves one thing and that’s having a high social status. something she constantly pressures chrissy into being apart of.

phillip cunningham :  chrissy and her father are extremely distant with each other. he often times hides away within his own office or within his own bedroom. only ever really seeing him in passing and when they are all at the dinner table together. he rarely speaks his mind and laura often times does all the talking for the both of them. though he sees what happens to chrissy but neglects to say anything about the abusive matter. though he also experiences enough on the matter as chrissy isn’t the only one her mother targets.  

jason carver : a picture perfect relationship or so it seems on the outside. at first, all went well. though jason always had a trendies to get a little too rowdy at parties. how it felt like another version of him would appear when a substance got in him or when certain stress got to him. going from the ‘ sweet ol jock ’  to a force you do not want to go against. most of the reason as to why chrissy decided to go out with him in the first place was because of her mother. in the grand scheme of things, its all about status. so what’s not more perfect that than the jock and the cheerleader being together, right ? chrissy has been half checked out of the relationship, not ever really saying ‘ i love you ’ back to him when he says it to her. she doesn’t really hang out with him at lunch or after school due to busy schedules. there’s a bit of a distance between them. something she kind of wanted as he could be a bit smothering sometimes. 

eddie munson : the freak. or so everyone else says. chrissy and eddie had brief interactions with each other within middle school. they were always rather fond conversations from what she could remember. most of the memories came from the talent show. she had been rather impressed with his guitar skills. but as soon as high school began, they went their separate ways. up until senior year, where their paths would cross again. eddie would become her drug dealer as her mental health continued to slip and vecna would continue to mess with her mind more. there was a fondness and a sort of trust she had with him, one that she hadn’t placed with most others. something about his presence would help calm her and help put her mind to ease.

headcanon.              by nature , chrissy is the kind of person who wants to help people. she’s a huge empath and can feel others emotions ( especially the negative ones ) which oftentimes weigh her down. a huge reason as to why chrissy is with jason is because of her mother. and a huge reason as to why she continues to stay with him , is because of him. maybe there was love at first , but after the fighting and his anger. she had threatened to end it between them. but he always swore he’d change , become the man that she deserved. and maybe he did for a few days. but he’d slowly slip into his shitty behavior once again. a huge reason , chrissy admires eddie is because he treats her like another human being with emotions. and the more she hangs out with him and people like him , the more she realizes she wants to break up with jason.
