oh thank the everloving fuck there is a friendship version of Gale's "last night alive" scene!!!!!!! When that mirror image showed up just now, I fully thought that maybe i misclicked somewhere, accidentally triggered it somehow, and I was dreading having to reject him, but no; going out of my way to avoid all marked romance initiation dialogues did pay off this time

(begs the question as to why i couldn't avoid all romance flags with Wyll too, even though I didn't choose any of the options that were marked as such.... apparently either the OIO can only accomplish so much, OR some romances are not triggered by specific player interactions sometimes??? like if their approval is high enough, or if the game wills it somehow, some just... fall for you no matter what, i guess?)

(yeah that makes that Wyll scene extra heartbreaking, i'm choosing to ignore it tho)
