hi everyone!! i’m still on a temporary hiatus for the time being, but after mulling things over, i’ve made a decision about how i run my blogs:
for now, i’m not going to use the queue for my threads although i might use it for any dash games i get tagged in and aesthetics i happen to stumble across
i also know i get thru all of the drafts for my muses at once usually....i think that’s been what’s making this feel more like an obligation so after i finish ga-ram and myungdae’s drafts...i’m just gonna...switch to tackling threads when i feel most inspired for them ( this might mean i’m on my single muse blogs a lot more often as well 😌 since i have...lots of thoughts for calum in particular.... ) please know that if i haven’t answered our thread for a while that doesn’t mean i care about our dynamic any less though!!
this also means the activity levels for some muses are gonna go down significantly; again, that doesn’t mean i care any less about any dynamics or threads they have there!! it just means the muse for them appears less often for me unfortunately. just as reminder here are the activity levels for my main muses as of now:
high activity: mana, lamon, patrick, myungdae
medium activity: raphael & ga-ram
low activity: yoojin & mana ( supernatural verse! )
i’m also going to tweak my rules slightly- nothing too noteworthy though, but do give a read when i get around to doing that. but other than that, that’s it from me for all. if you’re reading this, thank you for taking a look <3 and i hope to be writing and plotting with you all soon ( again)!!

Day 11 - the wooden church replica, afternoon rain, walk through Bellinzona, do it yourself pizza and the moon rise.
Saturday, 16 September 2000
Buongiorno!  Grüß Gott!  Bonjour!
Hello and welcome to the 17 day journey of September 2000.
Today is Saturday the 16th September 2000.  It might rain later in the afternoon.  And we will go up the pre-Ceneri-base-tunnel route to Bellinzona just to walk through town and back.
As I had stayed out quite late the previous night, and did not get to bed until about 1:30 AM, I was lucky to wake up in time for breakfast.  By about 9:15 AM it was almost impossible to see much of anything across Lago di Lugano, even Monte Bré.  At 10:42 AM I was at the Via Geretta bus stop waiting for the trolley bus.  On the map at the stop I was contemplating how to get to Lugano FFS.  At 10:45 AM I boarded the line 1 bus.
I had to buy a new 35 mm point and shoot camera because my really good camera, the Samsung Evoca 115 with telephoto lens, night exposure without flash, delayed photo, and so many other features, had stopped taking photos.  I had already taken it in for repairs but I did not want to send it off again.  By 10:52 AM I was at Piazza Manzoni in the center of town and had a decent view of Lago di Lugano.  Seeing Monte San Salvatore was a bit of a disappointment because the peak was covered by low clouds.  I walked eastward to the wooden replica of San Carlino delle quattro Fontane.  It was made of thin stacks of wood cut to resemble the altar of the San Carlino church.
By 11:15 AM I walked back to Piazza Riforma.  I saw a 5 Rappen / 5 centesimi coin and thought to myself would I have good luck if I picked it up.  Piazza Riforma is the square where I had supper and the german shepherd was a couple of tables away and there was the boisterous "baby boomer", made dinner all the more enjoyable.
About noontime I passed by the Manor department store, going up Via Sempione, and down with Via Pietro Pieri.  I finally went inside Manor to buy a camera in the electronics section.  I found a medium quality Minolta camera on sale for 60 CHF.  The regular price would have been 100 CHF.  It was better than the one I bought in Milan for maybe the equivalent of 40 CHF, which had manual film advance and manual film thread.  The Minolta camera I bought had automatic film advance and automatic film rewind.  Not a bad deal I don't think.  At 1:05 PM I bought some groceries, and made a "risky" choice for a soft drink:  chinotto.  What is chinotto?  It is something like when you mix coca cola, pickle relish juice and cleaning fluid.  It tastes nasty.  My parents bought me a can of it back in July 1987, as it was cheaper than Coca Cola but we found out the reason why.  Bleah!!!!  No grazie!  No thank you.  No more chinotto please.
I went back to the hotel about 2 PM and took video of Lugano from the hotel, in spite of the clouds that would become rain in a couple of hours.  I found the bus stop on Via Geretta for the bus line 9 to Lugano FFS, without even having to change busses.  And I could have breakfast in the morning and check out in time to make the train to Milan and on to Rome.
About 3:15 PM I went back into town.  At 3:36 PM I saw a poster for the local Alberto Giacometti exhibition in downtown.  I happened to have a CHF 100 note and compared the note to the poster.  He was responsible for the ceiling at the Zürich police station close to the flagship Swiss Heimatwerke store.
I took my recycling to the grocery store and got about 2 CHF back.  About 4:30 PM it started to thunder.  I was at the Manor department store at the time.  I stayed in a safe spot.  When it started raining, I started chanting the Jovanotti song "Piove" (It's raining).
Before the stores closed, I went to the Lugano City Disk store and bought "Tan Zen" by Gigi D'Agostino.  September 2000 was the peak of my ItaloDance taste in music, I think started as early as July 1997, kind of faded away about August 2004, with a few resurgences now and again.  Two songs I liked the most, "Elisir / Your love" and "Another Way".  One song that I think should have been on the CD was "I'll fly with you / l'amour toujours".
The weather cooled down to the low 70s, maybe 22 C.  At 5:30 PM I made a decision to go to Bellinzona, the cantonal capital of the Ticino.  It would be about 45 minutes by train, through the pre-Ceneri base tunnel route.  I took the funicular up to Lugano FFS, and on track 3 the Inter City arrived about 6:35 PM.  The first stop was Lamone-Cadempino, which would be about the southern end of the Ceneri base tunnel down to Giubiasco.  Between Lamone-Cadempino and Giubiasco is an interesting landscape and about five miles south of Giubiasco and Bellinzona is the Monteceneri slope.  The train arrived in Bellinzona about 7:06 PM.  There was still light out in spite of the clouds.  It was also in the mid 60s, maybe 19 C.
About 7 PM in Bellinzona is fairly quiet.  Most stores would be closed by then.  The busses would still run but maybe on a half hourly to hourly schedule.  I walked along via Claudio Pellandini and saw Castello di Montebello.  I went along via Claudio Pellandini before turning south on Viale Portone, where Hotel Unione was located.  I went as far as Castelgrande before turning back.  I was able to catch the 7:36 PM train to Lugano.  I had a compartment all to myself.  It stopped at Giubiasco and did not stop until Lugano.  I decided at some point I would take more time the next time I visited Bellinzona (Saturday 21st April 2001) and would visit Locarno as well.
When I arrived at Lugano, it was about 8:10 PM.  I went downtown past the Manor department store, and at 8:30 PM I was at the Manora restaurant.  It was an open restaurant where you could pick out ingredients for the chef to cook.  You could make a pasta dish or a pizza.  The pizza was really good but a bit oily.  I put octopus rings, anchovies, olives, mushrooms, zucchini, red pepper, onion, garlic, and mozzarella.  It tasted really good.  I had a red wine with that.  About 9:15 PM I took the bus back to the hotel.  That was the best way I could think of to end my stay at Lugano.  The evening was getting chilly, dropping below 60 F / 16 C.  The moon rose, was a waning gibbous moon.  I watched the moon rise for a while.  Then I went to bed.  I had to wake up very early the next morning, but I know that I arrived there by 8 AM in time to catch the train for Milan and the other for Rome.
Tomorrow I will be going to Rome through Milan, and may not arrive there until at least 2 PM.  It will be the longest rail journey of this vacation.
Buona notte!  Gute Nacht!  Bonne nuit!  Good night!

“Before you ask, yes, I’ve been taking my pain meds. And the other ones too.” He has it all written out in his planner, which is conveniently also tucked into his bag right now. And then he sighs. “...I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have started with that. You’re just here to admire the artwork, right?”

"You know you can just take some. It's not like I have a lot of people to share with." He snaps a couple of snow peas off their stalks and tosses them into the basket. "But if you're gonna do it, at least harvest them when they're RIPE."

Thunder crackles in the distance and while his spinach could use the rain, it doesn't change the fact that well, he didn't bring an umbrella. How could today possibly get any worse? "No offense, if it starts raining, you are more than welcome to leave. Actually, please leave, I'm probably going to start yelling and that isn't going to be fun for anyone."

"Please tell me he's not outside the door." Or so he grumbles, taking a generous sip of his coffee- the school's coffee, which kind of tastes like DESPAIR. But it's also the one thing keeping Lam sane right now. "If I have listen to him talk one more time about his stupid Civil War reenactment days, I'm going to scream."

“You’re up.” Lam states when the unexpected overnight guest finally sits up. He doesn’t look away from his lesson planning, but he does grab a water bottle instead. He hands it them. “Here. I think...you might need this.”

@thereckoniing asked for a coin toss!
Tumblr media
“Hey, um, do you mind, uh-” He looks up at the top shelf of the rack at the bag of fertilizer. It’s not that he can’t reach it ( he’s not that short, thank you very much! ), but more of his right arm very inconveniently freezing up. It feels as STIFF as a board although he’s definitely not admitting to that. He shifts his feet. How embarrassing, Lamon realizes, to be asking another guy for help with something he used to be able to do so readily on his own. And then he sighs, resigned to the blow his pride is about to take. “Can you grab one of the fertilizer bags up there? I can’t...I can’t do it with one arm.”

and pile on the years ( plotted starter ft. @theimpalpable )
"Do you-" Lamon groans, slipping into the seat across from her at the booth. Most times when he has a stomachache, he blames Ray. Ray and his demon-spawn creations. 65% of the time Ray's fault when Lam's stomach is in some kind of pain. As for the other 35%, well- there's a reason he can't quite look Lexine in the eye. Now that he thinks about it, she's been coming around a lot more frequently...for what reason, he can't phantom especially since it's almost MIDNIGHT and as far as Lamon recalls, doesn't she have a 9 to 5 job?
Tumblr media
Bad arm hanging loosely over the table, he glances over at her. His emptied MILKSHAKE sits on the counter where the waitress will inevitably pick it up. There's no way he can admit that the main reason he's ( currently ) in pain is because as usual, he forgot his lactase pills and insisted on getting a milkshake anyways. What, he was hungry! You can't blame him ( even if Ray will call him a dumbass when he finds out )!
He rubs the back of his neck, sheepishly. She's a RESPONSIBLE person, right? "You got something for stomachaches on you right now?"

"You're in my spot." It's said matter-of-factly and for the most part, he's not frowning. His mouth is pressed into a firm line, but that's also his normal expression. An unintentional poker face. Ray tells him it'll give him wrinkles sooner rather than later, but Lamon can't help but smiling doesn't come EASILY to him. If there's any sign he's not pleased, in this hole-in-the-wall diner is the way the corner of his eye twitches. That's the best spot to see Ray working in the back. "I sit there every time."

positivity for now bc i hate it when ppl say good vibes only ( ft. positivity meme ) || still accepting!
for every ‘@’ sent (anon or not) I WILL mention and post some positivity about a fellow tumblr user
fjskdlfjl thank you so much anon!!

okay!! so alex ( @gwyynbleidd ) is always a wonderful presence on my dashboard!! i love how they aren't afraid to show they are actively interested in their mutuals, just by how they'll spam memes. also they've got an eclectic section of muses- i've never seen a selection more varying in personality, but also backstory and like genre too?? also it's cool that many of them are connected to one another- really makes them feel more real!! also alex?? wonderful personality- super chill, fun, and funny to talk with via dash comm- i also very much appreciate their philosophy on writing... and they definitely practice what they preach!!
do you want chaos? okay about a mun who likes chaos but also is like super sweet and chill? io ( @kwatregats ) was one of the first people i also interacted with when i first came back to rp and i always really appreciate how relaxed and free-flowing they are when it comes to the progression of muse dynamics!! ester is a riot and i love that she along with the rest of io's muses enjoy making trouble ic....it makes my dashboard v entertaining to watch :D
speaking of ppl who i first wrote with, i must talk about cyan ( @bloodxhound )!! ah, yes- the other one of two reasons i initially came back to tumblr rp!! first of all, ray!! i love the gruff detective man who bullies to show love :'D he's so much fun to interact with regardless of WHICH muse i pick...most of if not all of my muses at least know him to some capacity and somehow it is inevitable that ray will be bullying them to some capacity :D ( unless ur mana, mana has rights ). but cyan!! SO SWEET. SO NICE. GREAT WRITER AND ARTIST I WANNA STEAL IT- i'm really the lucky one here to be able to write and plot with her for all these years!! i can't wait to give her and ray more chaos ( or sweetness ) to mess with!!
i don't interact as much with leo ( @thereckoniing ) but what i do know is that he's really chill and supportive of his mutuals!! i appreciate the layers that taewon has to his personality and to his backstory and I can't wait to learn more about him- that and i actually really like the himbo energy that taewon exudes around like ray and mana?? great times truly!!
oh yeah!! jiwon's mun ( @interxstitial ) is also super sweet and encouraging just like their muse! we haven't gotten far into our thread yet but i already ADORE the friendship between jiwon and lamon developing...jiwon's sweetness definitely matches well so far with lam's prickliness :'D
on the note of plots and great dynamics tho- you know who's really fun to plot with? yeah that's right, alex ( @jeoseungsaja / @theimpalpable ) is a BLAST to both write and plot with!! and even though i'm throwing different muses at the same muse ( so far ), alex shows such techinque with characterizing saja in each verse that it still feels fresh each time?? reaper and calum- wow that's gonna hurt/be fun when they finally meet via erza. hyuk and patrick - YEAH THAT ALREADY GOT ME IN THE FEELS. but alex!! super sweet and patient- i definitely adore talking with them and i love how excited they get about characterizations and relationships and character development AND how supportive they are of their mutuals on dash!! it's so sweet to see and really just...comforting?? rp can feel a lil' isolating so it's always lovely to see someone who genuinely loves writing and characters for the sake of it!!
another person who's devoted to character development tho has to be lena ( @mythvoiced )!! although i haven't gotten the chance to write with her yet, i do appreciate how much thought she puts into each and every one of her characters so they feel distinct!! i also love the curiosity she shows towards her mutuals' ocs just in how she'll send them hc questions :D also she's super supportive of her mutuals and i love seeing her excitement in the tags- it makes me excited about rp too!! all in all, someone i definitely admire on my dash :D
