OKAY SO LIKE, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN???

so for anybody who’s been following me, you probably noticed i haven’t posted in a while, which is strange because in the 2, almost 3 years i’ve written toni, i’ve never not posted for longer than a few days.

given the state of the world, and a toxic new hobby i picked up and have left, i really haven’t been in a great headspace. the show, too, really didn’t give me much motivation to write toni. it felt like every episode was yet another disappointment to what i was trying to write. and with vanessa’s recent revelations, i know i wasn’t far off the mark.

so for now i want to put her on hiatus. i need to pray that the writers will salvage this, but at this point it isn’t even clear if vanessa will go back for season 5. i don’t blame her. i don’t think any of us should. the writers of riverdale showed her, and us, exactly what they think of black and PoC characters in general, time and time again.

i’m starting to feel creative again, and if you miss writing with me, please know you can find me at @diamondcrowned (my new single blog) and @redemptioninterlude (my multimuse).

perpetually surprised nobody is out here in the riverdale rpc right now playing any of the stonewall prep kids. i mean they look like they’d be really exciting to play and explore? plus there’d be so much you get to put and make up in their histories?

then again there’s not to many muses in the riverdale rpc anymore :c to which... :c sad...

if you need to tear someone else and the things they like down so that you can feel better about yourself and the things you do... really, please. re-evaluate yourself. that’s not kind behaviour. it says a hell of a lot more about you than you realize. you may be bored because of this covid-19 business, but there’s no need to be nasty people because of it.

WHERE THE EFF HAS Z BEEN?

well to any of the observant, my activity has taken a bit of a dive lately!

i’m not abandoning toni, i’ve just been caught in a mix of being quite sick, and things being utterly insane at work. for those that know, i work in sports media, so the recent suspensions of the nba and nhl have left all of us a little in the lurch and grasping at what’s happening lately with our jobs and life in general. feeling like my writing is trash lately isn’t helping too.
