Jung Wooyoung x Reader: XOXO 💋💕
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This inspired me to write it.
W/c: 300 (-ish)
Genre: fluff
Rating: for all
A/n: Happy Birthday to my boyfie. He's seriously been a blush of fresh air in my rotten life. Stay happy and healthy my love.
I love it, because I love you, ooh.
Dating Wooyoung, some (Seonghwa) would say that it's a difficult feat. But it comes so simple to you. A smile spread through your face as he pressed a chaste kiss on your cheek as he passed from beside you.
That's what dating Woo is like, random hugs and kisses. Like Random.
He'd run up to you with a hug, a tight one and kiss your cheek, sometimes he stays for you to reciprocate, maybe plaster a kiss on his cheek or enough time to press your lips to his, sometimes he runs away before you could even react.
Lying down watching a movie on his lap as he plays with your hair and presses kisses at random moments. He'd have a shit eating grin when you'd suddenly move your head to look at him and he'd press a kiss to your lips, making a very irritated Jongho say “uh disgusting” and Hongjoong cringes, as the rest laugh.
“Baby Jongho wouldn't let me kiss him” He'd complain to you, “why don't you kiss Y/n instead?” Jingho retorted. You opened your arms inviting him as he ran to hug you and press a 10 hour kiss on your cheek.
Random kisses to your shoulder, hands, head when he hasn't seen you for a long (2 hours) time. You can expect mirror selfies, tons of them, hugging, kissing, cuddling, he might just have a huge mirror installed just for selfies. The pictures would be clicked but the kisses wont end. He's glad he found someone who adores and enjoys his kisses.
It would be the same during your intimate moments because he loves to kiss and bite every part of you and you'd have to wear a scarf to avoid teasing from the other members. He'd litter your neck with hickies.
Sometimes funny moments become more funny when he starts laughing, somehow you find it so endearing. Especially when he throws himself on you while laughing and you are almost out of breath for laughing so hard.
Him cooking for you on his off days and you helping him to avoid him wrecking the kitchen. Trying new recipes with him, sometimes creating your own cause he feels like it.
And that's how loving Wooyoung is, it comes easy to you.
So lovely day, so lovely, Errday with you so lovely.

Jeon’s Anatomy - Part 1
Neurosurgeon!Wonwoo x Pediatric Surgeon!Female Reader (briefly feat. Seventeen, Nu’est, Pristin, Ateez, Itzy, and Hinapia)
Word Count: 4789
Contents: Grey’s Anatomy au, lots of medical talk (tumours, cancer, surgery, serizures), mentions of foster care, mentions of death
You know you’re a kick ass pediatric surgeon, you have no need to prove it to anyone at all, certainly not the ass who runs the Neuro department. Well until you’re forced to work a case with him, anyway.
Cast | Prequels | Introduction | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Epilogue
“Dammit,” you chewed on your nail as you looked at the scans lining the screens. “I hate that you were right.”
“Believe me, I hate it too,” Jongho said.
“That’s not an easy area to get to either.”
“I don’t think it’s the first one,” He said.
“What do you mean?” Jieqiong questioned.
Jongho ran his finger along something on the scans. “Look here, I think this kid has had brain surgery before.”
“Did her foster parents say anything about it?” You asked.
“N-No,” Jongho stumbled. “But you can see it. And maybe they don’t know, maybe that information didn’t get to them somehow?”
“I would highly doubt if they did know they would leave that out,” Jieqiong mumbled.
“How long have they been her foster parents?” You questioned.
“A couple of months, I think,” Jongho said.
You quirked an eyebrow. “You think or you know Dr. Choi?”
“Th-They said a couple of months, they weren’t overly specific.”
“If this is recurrent…” You shook your head. “Did you page for Neuro?”
“I did,” Jieqiong piped up. “A little while ago. Some should-”
“You called for- oh.”
Before you even turned around you were bristling. You knew that voice. You knew the cold face you were about to see. This case was already flashing before your eyes and you did not want to deal with any of it, but you knew it wouldn’t look good to ask for someone else when they sent the head of neuro.
“Dr. Jeon,” you turned and smiled brightly at him. “I wish I could say we’re happy to see you but-” you motioned to the scans on the wall. “This isn’t exactly a happy occasion.”
Dr. Jeon rolled his eyes and crossed his arms as he made his way into the room. Mingi followed behind him and you were sure you heard Dr. Jeon mutter about how this day couldn’t get any worse. You bit the inside of your cheek, pasting on a sickly sweet smile.
“She’s ten?” He asked, looking at the scans.
“Yes, and we think i-”
“It’s recurrent, did the parents say that?”
“No,” You said. “Dr. Choi figured it out.”
Dr. Jeon threw Jongho a glance. “Then you’re not that much of an idiot.”
“You do know the residents are all doctors, right Dr. Jeon?” You asked coolly.
“Finishing med school hardly makes you a real doctor,” he quipped. “Clearly, becoming an attending doesn’t either.”
You smiled sweetly. “I’m so looking forward to working on this case with you.”
“That makes one of us,” he muttered under his breath before turning towards the door. “Keep Song updated and he’ll keep me updated, come on Song.”
“Y-Yes Dr. Jeon.” Mingi mumbled, scuttling after him and letting the door swing closed.
“What an ass,” Jieqiong said.
~
Eunbin smiled brightly as you entered her room, her parents looked up at you with worry in their eyes. You wanted to say something to ease their fears but you knew you had bad, scary news for them. If Eunbin knew she was sick she didn’t show it, or she was ignoring it. She seemed bright and happy either way.
“C-Can you tell us what’s going on?” Her father asked.
“W-We thought it was just the cuts on her arm and then she was admitted,” her mother worried.
“We’ll explain in a moment, I’m just waiting for Dr. Jeon to arrive since he’ll be in charge of the procedure.”
“Procedure, wh-what do-”
Footsteps came through the doorway and you all turned to see Dr. Jeon standing there. You wanted to scoff at him, he was barely masking his boredom and distaste. You weren’t sure if it was for you or for the case but either way you didn’t like it.
“Dr. Jeon,” you smiled. “Perfect timing.”
Dr. Jeon nearly rolled his eyes at you before opening the chart. “Your daughter has a recurrent medulloblastoma.” He paused, looking up at the parents. “A tumour in her brain. She’ll need surgery first and foremost and I’ll remove as much of the tumour as I can. But with this coming back and being as aggressive as it is we’ll likely have to do a bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy treatment as well.”
Her parents looked absolutely dumbfounded and you felt the rage boiling up inside you. How had he made it this far with zero bedside manner and no clue about patient or family care? Did he really care that little for other people? Your mouth opened to try and explain but Dr. Jeon looked up from his chart and cut you off, saying your name coolly.
“I’ll send Dr. Song in shortly to prep her for surgery, and I’ll see you in the OR.”
You sputtered, trying to process as Dr. Jeon turned and walked out of the room. Your eyes shifted between the door and the parents before you made up your mind. “I’ll be back to explain properly, just a moment.”
You took off into the hallway after Dr. Jeon, spotting him at the nurse’s station, checking over the chart again. You felt the fire under your skin as you marched over to him and grabbed him by the arm, ignoring his indignant noises and dragging him into an empty on-call room.
“What the hell was that?!” You cried. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?! You can’t treat people like that! Did no one teach you-”
“It’s not my job to coddle anyone,” he spat.
“It’s part of your job to provide patient care! Those parents are scared and confused-”
“Why is that my problem?”
“You’re her surgeon!” You were trying not to be too loud but your anger was getting the better of you. “It’s your job to make sure they’re prepared!”
“That’s what my residents are for,” he said coolly, infuriatingly calm. “They can explain the details. Look, I know your job involves a fair deal of baby sitting but I have more important things to do than-”
“You do know I am a pediatric surgeon, correct Dr. Jeon? You do comprehend that I am far beyond a babysitter, right?”
“I know that I was called into this because you’re not qualified for it on your own which hardly surprises me,” he sneered. “Were it not for the fact that Dr. Kwak is away and Dr. Xu already has procedures lined up I wouldn’t be taking this case. I don’t work with kids and if a little girl’s life wasn’t on the line I wouldn’t be here right now.”
“I can assure you as soon as Dr. Xu or Dr Kwak is free you’ll be off this case, Eunbin is still primarily my patient.”
“Fantastic,” he said through gritted teeth before stalking out of the room.
You pinched the bridge of your nose. “Just breathe,” you muttered to yourself, calming yourself slowly. You took a few deep breaths before pulling yourself up tall and heading back into the hallway and to Eunbin’s room again.
“I’m so sorry about that,” you said, trying to ease the parent’s concern and glancing at Eunbin who seemed unbothered, reading a book. “Let me explain. Eunbin has a tumour in her brain. Based on the scans we believe she’s had one before and you may have been unaware.”
“I-Is that why she’s been so clumsy?” Her father asked.
“Yes it’s very likely that’s the reason. She will need surgery to remove it. Despite Dr. Jeon’s demeanor, he is a brilliant surgeon and she will be in very good hands.”
“H-How did we not know?” Her mother worried.
“You may not have been given her full or proper medical history,” you said. “What’s important is that you brought her in and we can help you through this. But this will be a battle. Beyond this surgery she will likely need a bone marrow transplant to help her make healthy cells. She may also need chemotherapy. And she’ll need you two to support her.”
They nodded to you and you smiled. “I know this is a lot for one day. If you have any more questions, please let me know and I’ll answer them for you. We’ll be prepping her for surgery very soon as well.”
Her parents excused themselves for a moment and you watched after them sadly for a moment before Eunbin called your attention.
“Hey there, how are you so far?”
“I’m sick again, aren’t I?” She asked.
You sighed. “Yeah, do you remember what happened last time?”
Eunbin played with the sheets. “I had cancer. I thought they got all of it out.” She gazed up at you. “Why did it come back?”
“We… We don’t always know. But we have some ideas on how to treat it so that it doesn’t come back again.”
“You and that mean doctor?” She asked with a giggle.
“Yes,” you sighed. “Me and the mean doctor. He’s a very smart doctor, he knows what he’s doing.”
“Well he doesn’t know how to be nice,” she huffed. “Maybe we should teach him!”
You laughed at her remark as Mingi came into the room, smiling and beckoning him over.
“Dr. Song, this is Eunbin.” Eunbin stuck out her hand and Mingi took it, shaking it with a grin on his face.
“It’s nice to meet you, Eunbin,” he chuckled.
“It’s nice to meet you too, Dr. Song.” She chimed. “Do you also work with the mean doctor?”
Mingi looked at you confused. “She means Dr. Jeon,” you giggled.
Mingi’s face went pink as he looked between you and Eunbin and you stifled your laughter, knowing he was unsure if he was allowed to agree with what Eunbin had said.
“I-I H-He’s not so bad,” Mingi lied weakly which just had you and Eunbin breaking out into a fit of giggles.
“I think we should make him nice,” Eunbin said. “I bet he’s just grumpy ‘cause he has no friends or something.”
“And how do you plan to solve that?” You chuckled.
“I have some ideas,” she giggled.
~
The chatter between you, Mingi, and Jieqiong died down as Dr. Jeon came into the scrub room, a sudden tension filling the air. Mingi took off first, heading into the OR and Jieqiong followed quickly after him. In their absence you glanced at Dr. Jeon, taking in his calm face and wondering how someone who looked so relaxed could be so infuriating.
You thought you ought to say something, but there was nothing nice on the tip of your tongue so you kept your mouth shut. As much as a well placed quip might feel good it might not be smart before going into surgery to try and piss him off. You had to remember that Eunbin was your first priority.
You pushed through the door into the OR just as they wheeled Eunbin in, smiling brightly at her as she climbed onto the operating table.
“Are you ready, Eunbin?” You smiled.
Eungin grinned and nodded. “My parents promised me a lot of ice cream after this.”
“Oh, then we should get going,” you chuckled. “The sooner we’re done the sooner you’ll get that ice cream.”
Eunbin’s gaze shifted away from you. “Dr. Jeon!” She called brightly. “Are you ready?”
Dr. Jeon looked up at her, surprise painted his face for a moment as he registered that she was indeed talking to him. You swore you could see a pink blush on the tops of his cheeks.
“I am,” he said. “You’re, uh, you’re in good hands.” His gaze shifted to yours and you took in the stress in his eyes. Clearly, he didn’t know what to say to her and it almost had you laughing. Maybe this little ten year old would take him down a peg.
“Dr. Jeon,” Eunbin beckoned him closer and he did so reluctantly. “It’s okay. Even if you’re mean sometimes, she says you're smart.”
You felt the heat rise to your own cheeks at Eunbin’s words as she motioned to you. “I think it’s time you go to sleep,” you laughed a little awkwardly, “so we can get started.”
Eunbin laid down properly, looking up at you and Dr. Jeon as the anesthesiologist brought the mask to her face but Eunbin stopped her.
“Wait!” She looked up at Dr. Jeon. “Can you get it all this time? So it doesn’t come back?”
“I-I” Again he looked to you for help.
“We’re going to do our very best,” you assured her. “Now you need to do your best and go to sleep.”
You watched as they put Eunbin under before smirking at Dr. Jeon behind your mask.
“Can’t handle a little kid, huh?”
“Shut up,” he grumbled. “I told you I don’t work with kids.”
“Apparently it’s just a lack of ability,” you quipped. Dr. Jeon glared at and you heard Jieqiong and Mingi both giggling, sure now that you were seeing colour come to the parts of Dr. Jeon’s face that you could see.
“I will throw you out of my OR if I have to,” he growled.
You bit back your laughs and nodded, this was about Eunbin, and you wanted to see this case through no matter who you were stuck working with. You were quiet and well behaved as Dr. Jeon opened, though you had to prod him to actually teach. He spoke to himself but didn’t seem to want to explain out loud and you could see your insistence getting under his skin as he got started, reluctantly calling Mingi closer to watch and explaining the steps to him until he needed an extra set of hands.
His eyes met yours. “Could you assist?”
“You have a perfectly good final year neuro resident right next to you Dr. Jeon. As much as I am learning and here to help, don’t you think he should first assist?”
“This is delicate work,” Dr. Jeon said, frustration hiding just under his calm demeanor.
“And he’s less than a year away from being an attending,” you replied.
“I-It’s okay,” Mingi mumbled. “I-I do-”
“No you do need to learn,” you said. “You need to do.” Your gaze shifted back to Dr. Jeon. “Now you can stand here and argue with me all afternoon, Dr. Jeon but the fact of the matter is that this is a teaching hospital, you have a capable, willing student, and your patient is laying open on the table. Her infection rate only climbs as we stand here talking so I suggest you let your student assist.”
If looks could kill you thought you might have dropped dead under Dr. Jeon’s gaze. “Fine, Dr. Song.” His gaze shifted to Mingi “You screw this up and I’ll have you kicked out the program, do you understand me?”
“Y-Yes sir.” Mingi gulped.
~
You took off with Jieqiong and Mingi after the surgery, grinning as you listened to Mingi’s excitement about being able to really work. He’d done well, just like you knew he would. Whether Dr. Jeon would give him more chances, you didn’t know, but if nothing else he had proved his capability and you hoped he would get some proper learning now.
Neither of them was on call that night so you bid them adieu before heading back to the pediatric floor. The hallway was darkened slightly when you got there, trying not to make any of the spaces too bright for the kids trying to sleep. You took a walk along the rooms, glancing in at the monitors and happy to see Eunbin looking mostly steady. As resilient as kids are, brain surgery was still brain surgery. It still took a lot out of them and you didn’t expect her to wake up just yet.
A yawn slipped past your lips as you made your way back to the nurse’s station. Flipping through charts wasn’t quite keeping you awake and really, you should get some rest. A quick glance at the clock told you it was barely that late though and you would rather hold out a little longer then get in a quick nap.
Stomping caught your attention and you turned just in time to see Dr. Jeon, face flushed and angry and stalking towards you.
“What did y-”
“Not here,” you hissed quietly. He pressed his lips into a thin line, grabbing your arm and pulling you to the end of the hall and then into the stairwell.
As soon as the door swung shut Dr. Jeon started yelling. “Do you find it fun to undermine me in my OR?! If Hongjoong was free believe me he would have been in there and Song would not have gotten within-”
“Do you just forget that your job here is to teach?!”
“My job is to be a surgeon,” he yelled. “And I am good at what I do! I’m not messing with that to let some dropout-to-be get anywhere near my patients!”
“If Mingi is failing that’s as much on you as it is-”
Dr. Jeon backed you against the wall but it only fuelled your anger more. “Don’t you dare quote the chief to me.” he growled.
“I wouldn’t have to if you listened. I wouldn’t have to if you did your damn job! I know you think you’re some big hot shot and everyone else is beneath you but you can’t use that to make up for the fact that you’re a shitty teacher!”
“You think all of these kids have what it takes! You think every one of them will make it! Your optimism is annoying! Your idea that everything will turn out sunshine and rainbows and that any idiot can be a surgeon is naive and infrutating! Surgeons like you-”
“Oh please!” You took a step towards him and almost to your surprise he stepped back. “Please tell me about surgeons like me as if you know me, as if you know anything at all about me!”
“You think I’m arrogant but at least I’m realistic! At least I can-”
Dr. Jeon was interrupted by both of your pagers going off. You looked down and your heart dropped at the 911 code and Eunbin’s room number.
“Crap,” you muttered as Dr. Jeon pushed the door open and you both took off down the hallway towards her room. He didn’t say another word to you on the way, his strides carrying him a little ahead of you to the far end of the ward where the night nurses were gathered around Eunbin’s bed. Her body was shaking and her face looked very pale.
“What the hell happened?!” You cried, rushing to her bed side and checking the chart.
“S-She’s been sleeping,” the nurse said. “S-She just started seizing!”
You called to the nurses, giving them the dosage for the medication she needed and pulling away anything crowding her bed, her body slowly calming as the drugs were pushed. You looked around to see Dr. Jeon still standing in the doorway with a stunned look on his face.
“Get over here!” You cried. Dr. Jeon blinked before making his way to the bed. You pulled back Eunbin’s eyelid, shining a light in her eye and cursing.
“I think she’s got a brain bleed,” you said, checking her other pupil.
“She needs a CT,” Dr. Jeon’s voice almost sounded hollow.
You looked up at him. “Does she have time for a head CT?”
“I-” He looked down at her again. “N- No, we need to go to the OR now.”
“You heard him!” You called, getting the bed ready to move and making eye contact with one of the nurses. “Call ahead and make sure the OR is ready, we’re going now!”
You pushed off, running with the bed with Dr. Jeon following at your heels. Your heart pounding as you looked down at Eunbin. What happened? How did she get so bad so fast? You knew you would have to ask these questions later on and try to find the answer. Was it better or worse that her parents had gone to sleep in another room? They didn’t know at the moment but you definitely didn’t have the time to wake them now.
Your gaze shifted to meet Dr. Jeon’s in the elevator. “Do you have any ide-”
“No,” he said flatly. “No, just- let’s just get her into surgery.”
You nodded, helping to push the bed as you got to the OR floor and rush her into the operating room before the two of you raced to the scrub room. He was muttering to himself as he scrubbed in and now didn’t seem the time to say anything. He seemed off, much less sure of himself than he had been that afternoon and it made you a little nervous. He’d seen so many patients, why would this one get to him?
You followed him into the OR, his head shaking before they put the light on his head. He took his place at Eunbin’s head and you stood next to him, watching as they unwrapped the bandages and he took the scalpel, the machines still beeping as her blood pressure and heart rate climbed dangerously high.
“Dr. Jeon, you need to do something.” You kept your voice even as he stood there, staring down at her head. “Dr. Jeon?”
He seemed frozen.
“Wonwoo!”
His gaze met yours in surprise as you called out his name, breaking him from his reverie. You stepped closer and dropped your voice. “I don’t know what’s going on but you need to cut.” He nodded at you numbly.
“Look, I’m here, I’m assisting. You can do this, okay?”
“Of course,” his voice was still weak.
“Good, “ you said. “Now let’s save a life.”
~
You were quick to follow Dr. Jeon out of the scrub room after the surgery. You were glad that he could fix the bleed and he seemed much more quiet and subdued with you now. You kept an eye on him until he stopped at the elevator.
“Hey, I’m going to monitor Eunbin for the next little while, did you want to come?”
Dr. Jeon shoved his hands into his pockets. “Alright. That sounds good.”
It was as if he’d lost all of his fight. He still seemed a bit out of it. The surgery, while successful, was stressful and it was now very late. You both sorely needed sleep and Eunbin needed the rest. He was probably worried about the same thing you were, another complication.
When you got to the room her parents were there and they started bombarding you with questions. Dr. Jeon seemed to freeze up.
“I know you’re confused, please sit down.” You said, getting them calmly into their seats. “The initial surgery went well but with any surgery there is a risk of complications. While you were sleeping her brain started to bleed and she had a seizure.” You calmed them with your motions as they started to cry. “We rushed her to emergency surgery and overall it went well. It will take a while for her to wake up and we’ll be monitoring her closely to make sure no more complications occur.”
“How did this happen?” Her mom asked shakily. “I thought you said-”
“Dr. Jeon is a fantastic surgeon. Like I said, even the best surgeons are going to have complications. The pressure in her brain has been relieved and her vitals are stable. I promise you we’ll be in the hospital the rest of the night in case anything else goes wrong but we’re hopeful that she’ll recover from here.”
Her parents sat next to her tearily holding her hand as you checked her over again before making your way back to the door where Dr. Jeon was still standing, as if stuck to the spot. You stopped next to him, following his gaze to Eunbin’s face before looking back at him and grabbing his arm gently and pulling him to the nurses station.
“Did you want to check her over again?” You asked quietly.
“I don’t think so,” he shook his head.
“Then I think you should get some sleep, come on.” You pulled him to the closest on-call room. Dr. Jeon slumped down onto the bed and you locked the door before sitting down next to him.
“What hap-”
“Don’t,” he said. “I- I don’t have it in me to fight with you.”
“I’m not picking a fight,” you said evenly. “But you’re not alright, what’s going on?”
He crossed his arms over his chest and let out a shaky breath. “It doesn’t matter.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you shaken.” You said blankly. “I’ve seen you collected, I’ve seen you get angry, but I’ve never seen you get shaken like this. I’ve never seen you hesitate. So what happened to shake you so badly?”
“I don’t…” he mumbled.
“What?”
“I don’t work with kids, okay?” He muttered. “I don’t take pediatric cases if I can help it. I don’t like the parents and their looks of hope. I don’t like seeing these bright, smiling kids on the table. And I don’t like-” He stopped, his voice uneven.
“You don’t like when they die.”
He wouldn’t meet your eyes. “She didn’t die. She’s alive and recovering and she should be fine.”
“It was scary,” you said. He rolled his eyes.
“Hey no, Wonwoo look at me.” Again his eyes showed surprise as you used his name. “It was scary. You’re allowed to be scared.”
“I’m not supposed to be. I have to be calm so the child and the parents can be scared and I just- I couldn’t-”
You wrapped your arm around him, not allowing yourself to think about it too much. He started when you did so but as you brought his head to your shoulder and hushed him he slowly relaxed.
“It’s okay to be scared. It is scary when kids get hurt. It is scary when the tiny humans come in with big problems and they’ve barely lived. It’s scary.”
“Yeah,” he hummed shakily.
You stayed with him like that, listening to his shaky breaths as they slowly calmed down. The fatigue was slowly tugging at you and as he let more of his body weight lean into you, face nuzzling sleepily.
“Do you wanna get some rest?” You mumbled.
“How do you do it?” You pulled back enough to look at Wonwoo but he was still close to you. His gaze was full of a sincerity you’d never seen before and it had your heart melting. “How do you stay so bright around all of this?”
“A lot of kids come through here. The ones you lose are… they’re incredibly hard. But the ones you save.” You couldn’t help the way the smile tugged at your lips as you sat up a little more. “I have this kid, I operated on him when he was three years old. We didn’t think he would make it but now? Now he’s seven and his parents send me pictures to keep me updated on him. Another girl, I operated on her when she was five and she’s eight now and her parents send me a christmas card every year.”
You looked at Wonwoo again, a funny feeling in your stomach as you took in his expression. “The ones that make it, that get to grow up. The kids that you get to give a life to, those ones almost make up for the ones you lose.”
He gazed at you, thinking for a few moments. “That’s pretty incredible.”
“We all need some way to get through it, to deal with the bad days or the losses, right?”
“Right,” he hummed. “I- I think I underestimated you.”
“I think you did,” you teased him with a smile. He laughed, a light giggle that you weren’t expecting that made your heart skip and had you focusing on the cute way his nose scrunched when he smiled.
“I know it’s been a long night,” he hummed, leaning a little closer. “And I know we’re both tired and it’s nearly morning… but can I kiss you?”
“Yes,” the word fell off your lips before you even had time to register it, some part of your brain was a step ahead and you would have been embarrassed at the admission if you weren’t so sleepy and if the way his lips pressed against yours softly didn’t feel so good.
He kissed you once. Then twice. Then three times.
You pressed closer to him as his hand found the small of her back. His lips moved with yours sweetly, glasses slipping down his nose. You grinned against his lips as you reached up and took them off before wrapping your arms around his neck as he pressed you back into the bed.

"You really meant it when you said you weren't going to go easy on me," you said, exhaling deeply the moment you stepped off the piste and took off your mask.
"When have I not?" Jongho chuckled as he grabbed your face towel on the table and passed it to you. With a quick 'thanks', you accepted it and wiped down the sweat that was dripping from your head down to your neck like a waterfall. You're convinced that any sports can be made ten times more intense if your opponent was Jongho.
"Maybe you should give losing a go at least once," you scoffed as you tried to think of a match between the two of you that he has never won at. Whether it be soccer, badminton, basketball, swimming and more (you get the point), Jongho was always the better one. A natural born athlete, everyone says. It wasn't surprising, he came from a family of athletes after all.
Jongho extends his hand for you to grab onto so he could help you up and you take it gladly, needing any and every kind of physical support right now. "I'll have to think about it." He gives you that cute toothy grin of his and you almost want to groan at his duality, just moments ago he was attacking you with his epee without any mercy shown.
"Maybe I should kick you out of the team and recruit him," your coach joked as he gave Jongho a nice strong pat on the back, causing you to roll your eyes and burst into a smile.
"Coach, you have no loyalty. Just yesterday, you told me I was your best student." You pouted as you scooted over even closer to your coach who you viewed as a father figure, resting your head on his shoulder.
"Ah, you're so sweaty."
"Coach!" You whined as your coach playfully pushed your head away, which resulted in giggles erupting from your top rival in sports.
"Whatever, practice starts in ten minutes for your juniors, so you two lovebirds got to go."
"We're not!" The both of you yelled out in unison, and your coach only just nods his head with a knowing smile before shooing you away.
Jongho gives you a weird look while the two of you were in the lift going down to the first floor. You just knew that he was about to propose another competition and so you put your hand up to his mouth, trying to shut him up. Look, you wouldn't consider yourself weak by any means, but Jongho was really in a league of his own when it comes to stamina, sometimes you wonder how you even keep up with him at times. But you should have already known that you can never stop him.
"Last one to the cafeteria buys lunch!" He laughed, already sprinting away into the distance the second the elevator doors opened wide enough for him to pass through. Maybe if you stopped entertaining him he would stop, but somehow you could never bear to do so. (You were also very competitive.) So you quickly follow along, trying your best to outrun him despite knowing that it was an impossible feat.
Jongho reached the cafeteria in no time, standing at the entrance as he watched you make your way over from across the field. Something about it just sparked a joy in his heart and he couldn't help but smile at the sight of you. It's not that he has never questioned his feelings for you, about whether it was purely platonic or romantic, but seeing you like this right now, he was sure you were more than just a close friend.
"What did I say about giving losing a go?" You groaned, your legs and lungs feeling like they were on fire.
"Oh, I did," Jongho said nonchalantly, causing your eyebrows to arch up in confusion. "And I think I just lost."
"On what basis?"
"You know...." His voice trails off for a moment as his cheeks turned a rosy pink in a blink of an eye. "I lost my heart, and you won it."

Should you fight Ateez?
I always hear people say "I want to fight (insert member here)." But how would they hold up in a fight? I have compiled an informative resource and now present to you critical knowledge for when you fight Ateez. Please refer to whenever you wish to fight a member:
Hongjoong
Now we all know that Hongjoong is kinda small
But he’s quick
He can dodge your punches and may even get some in himself
Might try to rap at you as an intimidation method?
Tries to bargain with you as a way to avoid his inevitable downfall
Eventually trips on his awful sandals and it’s all over for him
take it easy on him though
Ateez needs their leader
80% fightable
Seongwha
We’ve all seen how rude this boy can be
I’m sure we’ve all wanted to fight him at some point
be careful though
he’ll use his prince-like looks to distract you
Keep focused. Look past the blinding smile and soft boyfriend looks and you’ll be just fine
Besides his good looks he wouldn’t put up much of a fight
Has an almost siren effect if he sings
Plug your ears and that should suffice
85% fightable
Yunho
His height is a definite advantage
He’d honestly be so confused as to why you’re fighting him
Would try to reason with you at first
He’s such a good-natured guy, it would take a lot to make him mad
But if he was equally as worked up as you are
be careful
It’s almost uncertain who will win at that point
surprisingly fast for as tall as he is
think on your feat and dodge his punches and you just might turn out victorious
65% fightable
Yeosang
First of all
Why would you want to fight him?
For the most part he’s a soft little bean
But if he were to offend you some how, listen up
The Glare™
His piercing glare is intimidating enough to make any opponent run for the hills
Be strong and look past the glare
In a physical fight he’s not the best
But the insults he throws at you hurt worse than any punch
Physically you’re victorious, but emotionally he’s destroyed you
50% fightable
San
We all want to fight him
He says that he’s been working out
We’ve all seen his arms (does he ever wear sleeves?)
He’d be a worthy opponent
For a while
All you have to do is overpower him and he’s at your mercy
Might get in a few good flicks to your forehead and wack you into another dimension
Other than that, he would whimper at every punch and there might be some tears
70% fightable
Mingi
He’ll talk a lot of smack
But when it really comes down to it, he’s terrified
Might freeze up when the actual fight starts
if you hit him hard he might even cry
A sensitive bean
Beware of his long limbs tough
if he starts flailing them around he might cause some damage
curls up into the fetal position until you have mercy on him
once you’re done he plays it off like it wasn’t as bad as it really was
90% fightable
Wooyoung
Now wooyoung is unpredictable
he’s built like he can withstand a few punches
that is certainly one of his advantages
one advantage for you though is that he’s so loud, you’d know exactly where he is every second
Now growing up with two brothers i’m sure they’ve had their share of fights
either he’s got a really good punch, or its weak. No in between
He’s also a little sensitive and the smack talk might scare him a little
Sneak up on him, maybe throw out some threats and he’s all yours
65% fightable
Jongho
Never, under any circumstances fight Choi Jongho
No matter how good you are, he will d e s t r o y you
If you don’t want to end up beaten to a pulp, I suggest you run as fast as you can
Maybe not as fast as some of the others, but has more than enough strength to make up for it
he’s smart and can read your mind like an open book
will know all your attacks before you even carry them out
might even sing while fighting just to flex his stable vocals on you.
You thought him doing sit ups while singing was impressive? Just wait until he hits a perfect high C while punching you in the face
0% fightable DO NOT fight
you will die

match ateez members with your favourite songs :'D
LMAO VIVI, icb it took me this long to answer this
Seonghwa - Niki’s I Like U. Though the song’s on the POV of the one who “lost”, Niki’s talking about the person who slipped away. Not gonna lie, this gives me Seonghwa vibes.
“I know that I signed up for this casually But I fell for your tricks, I'm the casualty“ “But I just can't seem to figure you out You got that mystery“
Look me in the eye and tell me you didn’t think Seonghwa would carry that much charm.
“Something about you makes me difficult But that makes us even 'cause you're top of the charts Egotistical, it's so typical For me to fall for your kind But, oh God, I wish you were mine“
HELLO?!?!
“I like you, I like you, I like you Sorry, I never meant to (Sorry)“ “I'll be patient, I swear I'll even count to ten One, two, three, four, five F- it“
Just gives me the entire vibe of how Seonghwa has this charm that you never really thought of going for but here we are. Fools for Seonghwa. Also, Aries energy the whole ‘One, two, three, four, five, fuck it.”
Second: Ooh La la - Tinashe
Hongjoong - Right off the bat, it’s Masego’s Tadow, the entire way they did the song just gave me the impression, that once they have the means to have all of that in a studio, Hongjoong will probably do it too. Also, the lyrics.
“Baby like oh How'd you do the thing? The way that you do it and she ain't even show Nothing She be walking 'round so confident, so heaven-sent I think she was meant to knock 'em dead like (tadow) (tadow)“
Give Hongjoong some time and he’ll probably come out with subtle chill bangers like this.
Second: Hey Baby - Crush, Zion T
Yunho - Tone Stith’s Let Me. Him being so willing to lend his credit card to Mingi in that one V-live. The way this fandom just agrees that he’s the type of person who’s love language is to pamper them. BUT ALSO. Yunho’s very relaxed, the relaxed that has him just leaning against the couch type. (is it the Scorpio mars? I have no clue.) BUT this song. THIS SONG. YUNHO.
Second: Coco Bottle - Penomeco
Yeosang - Eric Bellinger’s Type A Way. When Jongho said that Yeosang’s song recommendation was The Weeknd’s Heartless, it made me look at him at a slightly different light. He’s underestimated I think. So have a song that warns you that if you underestimate someone you’re bound to get whiplash.... which is what Yeosang gives me. His confidence in himself also is growing so it’s only a matter of time until he probably shows something deadlier than what he’s been showing us.  (cough cough @yeochikin thoughts?)
“So careful what you wish for (you might get it) You might get it (just wanna show you)“
“When I give it to you night and day (woo, yeah) And day, day and night, I know what to do (and day) Bet I make you feel some type of way-ay, of way-ay, of way-ay“
Second: Nights Like This - Kehlani
San - Ty Dolla Sign’s Purple Emoji. The song’s pretty much on how they express their love and appreciation for the other person. Their Day 1′s. The people who helped them become better. Different types of love. All just wanting the better for the other. San’s been the Day 1 for ATEEZ, wanting the best, wanting to improve for them. Besides the fact it’s called Purple emoji (San: Purple uwu), it’s just something I can associate San with.
“I had to boss you up, I had to level up myself I did some growin' up, I'm doin' better for myself But I still need you“
“When we turn like 50, I'm still gonna have all of your messages saved Purple emojis with horns on it Like the devil, but ain't nothin' devilish, babe In fact, it's a Heaven-sent thing“
Also, this song has a special place in my heart. I kind of wanted to make sure if I associate someone with this song, it was going to be someone who has a good heart.
Second: Pineapple Skies - Miguel
Mingi - Sik-K feat DPR Live’s Have A Little Fun. Did I spend time looking up the brands Mingi wears in Mingkiway and out of that vlog? Yes. They’re not cheap. It’s not brands either that are as known as Gucci but mention them to someone who knows fashion and there’s a chance that they know it. Rich boy vibes. Also, Live’s verse on world tours = Mingi’s wish for ATEEZ World Domination.
“YSL a bunch of money Diamond bling Switching lanes Porsche yeah believe that World tour that you wait on Rap till I die so my coffin gold Rep the country Yeah you might know Gon be legend that’s how it go”
Second: Lost in Your Light - Dua Lipa
Wooyoung - Penomeco’s Coco Bottle. There’s something about this song that really gives me Wooyoung vibes. The whole: I want to get away from this place, somewhere different. with someone. I don’t have the lyrics here cause it’s really just a lot of comparisons to coco bottles, and being brought to his own world (whatever that means). I do see Wooyoung just freestyling to this song though :c
Second: Ring Ring Ring - Somdef
Jongho - It’s a tie between Ella Mai’s Boo’d up and Trip. LMAO, I really did not have any plans of looking at him. Not in the “I want to ignore this guy” but more of “I don’t want to fall for his charms” My friends have seen my turmoil of trying to stay strong and not fall for him up to how I now just Yell over Jongho’s existence and mannerisms. Also, I’m really not used to having someone younger than me as my bias wrecker????? Bro What.
“My bad, my bad for, trippin' on you“
“Hear my heart go ba-do, boo'd up Biddy-da-do, it just won't stop, it go“
