Xu constantly wears layers (jacket, cardigan, etc), because she is always cold. It's gotta be like 85 and sunny out before you see her in something without a layer she can add or remove as necessary.
This also means that partners' shirts and hoodies are never safe, because she will borrow it and then never give it back.

Free my son, he definitely did all the things he was accused of, but also y'all gotta remember teenagers are The Most Fucking Dramatic Assholes, and catastrophism is a very real thing. Why would he bother giving Garden any more of himself, when they clearly took pleasure in crushing his dreams?
Going with Edea, a person he recognized and knew, despite all that magical manipulation, made perfect sense. (Kidnapping and holding Deling hostage on live TV, though, was, maybe, a little overboard.)
Finding out that wasn't the only mother he's ever really known, and was something else entirely wearing her like a goddamned Halloween costume, might have been a shock-- but it wasn't like he could have turned around and left.
All he ever wanted to do was be remembered. And it blew up in his face.

FUN FACTS.
as evidenced by the timeline section, nadia has moved around A Lot and has lived relatively little time in england. this was motivated by constantine's desire for nadia to learn the tricks of the money laundering trade as soon as she displayed an affinity for it. europe's best were spread across the continent and given that there might be some cultural nuances to the trade, it only made sense she actually lived in the regions.
she is an international baccalaureate girlie through and through. all of her education prior to tertiary education was ib; primary years in portugal, middle years in romania, and diploma programme in wales. given the programme's international nature, it enabled nadia to form connections with useful individuals all over the world.
nadia is 190cm / 6'3" tall, making her the tallest liddell by far. the massive height difference, especially compared to her father, has led to some speculation that she's an illegitimate child, but the liddells have always ignored such talk. they know she's a liddell by blood, as much as she detests their relation, and nothing can change that
speaking of height, rarely will you catch nadia without a pair of christian louboutin's in her feet. she particularly favors the kate design — a classic pointy pump with a red sole and a 10cm stiletto heel. this makes her 2 meters / 6'7" tall and very intimidating in the eyes of others. she couldn't care less about the feelings of others, though, she'll gladly crush you under her heel and exploit your insecurity gleefully.
even though she's got a great memory and likely remembers your name, even after a brief encounter, she'll shamelessly pretend she doesn't remember it if she's deemed you too boring / inferior to her. furthermore, she has no issue using a dehumanizing nickname when speaking about you. an example of this is maksim, who nadia sometimes refers to as "expense number (insert number here)" due to what his rehab cost.
capable of physical violence and killing, as all liddell children are, but considers herself above such vulgarities. however, can and will absolutely calculate the most and least efficient ways to commit such acts based on numbers and statistics.
nadia owns two russian blue cats, named mariinsky and bolshoi. they're the closest thing to children she'll ever have, and all of her capacity for warmth and caring is reserved for them only.

pleasantville never really seems to be consistent on a map btw. punch in directions on gps? it seems to kind of lead you around in circles through plains and woodlands. you're better off with a physical map, but for some reason? maps seem to have the exact borders a bit off for the town. they're not consistent in different prints. google maps is not reliable either. for a small town, it feels like it takes a bit too long to drive through. the longer you're driving through it, the more you start noticing lingering gazes from the residents. they're starting to get uncomfortable. so are you.

Bio:
Gideon Gorelieu was born almost nothing to a pair of indentured servants in French Louisiana: his father repaired the local magnate's fishing fleet, his mother a maid in one of the minor sugar baron's households. he watched his two older brothers die in a hurricane that wreaked horror on their coastal community, and his younger brother never lived past childhood –– dead of sickness and starvation, and his mother died of grief soon after. with a decent knowledge of fishing boats and weather patterns, he took to sea on a merchant vessel as a green hand, but showed promise and eventually made his way up through the ranks. as an officer, he was instrumental in staging a mutiny against their captain, and the ship became a profitable smuggling operation rather than a legal merchant ship. with her dark grey sails and unique capacity for escaping the notice of the law amongst the sandbars and coves, the schooner took a new name: La Petite Revenante.
for a while, Gideon bent his head to the new captain, but in an outburst of his soon to be infamous temper, killed his only competition in a duel of honor. when they put to sea again, he raised the prospect of piracy: any dissenters had their throats slit and were tossed to the sharks, leaving only the most merciless, and callus, among them. after a few minor prizes, cutting their teeth as buccaneers and filling out their ranks, Captain Gorelieu set his sights on a Spanish frigate. the revenante's crew swarmed aboard, and slaughtered almost every single man, leaving only a few to swim ashore and tell the tale of the newly-named CAPTAIN BARTHOLOMEW GORE.
Gore rapidly became a successful pirate with his flagship, La Tuerie, in his command, taking several prizes that he allocated to the command of his officers and building out a sizeable fleet. the Louisiana governor, wishing to keep Gore as an ally rather than an enemy, offered him a commission as a privateer, a plot of land, and some political influence if in exchange he would show mercy to the colony and share his ill-gotten wealth with them instead of elsewhere. Gore could not refuse, and began construction on the place which put fear into the hearts of all those enslaved and indentured who worked on it: Bloodmere Manor. to separate the privateer who now lived in privilege and wealth ( and hard won fear and respect ) in New Orleans from the bloodthirsty pirate captain, Gore occasionally used the name Roberts in other ports like Nassau, Port Royal, and Havana, but the people of Louisiana always attributed the stories of bloodshed to their own captain.
on one of his returns to New Orleans to check on the progress of his new mansion, Gore dined with the governor and a few of the city's socialites and was introduced to Miss Priscilla de Claire, a lovely, innocent nineteen year old heiress who –– kept in the dark about Gore's piratical exploits –– was charmed by the older captain who could be most gentlemanlike when he wanted to be. he began courting her, swaying her with expensive gifts and endless attention, and the two were set to be married as soon as the manor was finished. Gorelieu began integrating himself more completely into landed society and into his role as a plantation owner, befriending the de Claire's and most of the other New Orleans families with a by-and-by more polished exterior. but by night, he drank heavily, and every time he closed his eyes began to be haunted by the faceless masses he had put to the sword.
on the very night they were wed, Gorelieu hosted the de Claire's and other prominent families in the richly-decorated mansion, but while he entertained his in-laws, Priscilla snuck off alone to explore her new home. in the basement, she discovered a chest full of relics of his pirate's life: weapons, and maps, and worst of all, the bones of his enemies, kept like souvenirs and not all of them cleaned. she confronted Gore, horrified, threatening to have their marriage annulled. Gore was incensed. ( alongside the loss of his love, he stood to lose her dowry, too ) in a fit of rage, he dashed his bride's head against the wall, and bricked her body up in it.
while the de Claire's searched the bayou endlessly for their missing daughter, assuming she had balked from married life and fled the obligations of becoming his bride, Priscilla ensured her husband could not enjoy his newfound wealth, or find any peace in the expansive house: her ghost tormented him to madness, until he fled again to sea ( hoping to escape some suspicion, as well ). but he found no respite from his bride, there, either, and the visions followed him until –– his ears filled with endless screams –– he hung himself from the yardarm, a ghostly specter on a ship of death, leaving the mansion empty of everything but ghosts.

History: Born to a poor family that made their living off the sea. No known siblings. His father was a fisherman, and his mother, the fishmonger. He was a wild child that spent most of his time in the jungle hunting for roots and vegetables or small game. Heavy rains washed away his home and his mother when he was nine. Uninterested or unwilling to raise a child on his own, Balto’s father sailed off for sunnier shores without him.
Little is known about Balto’s whereabouts between 1980 and 1987, but it is assumed that he befriended the legendary blacksmith Inuzuka Shino during this time and the young man earned a reputation as a formidable swordfighter. Scarlet, Head of Weapons Development at Shinra, was interested in appropriating Inuzuka’s steel folding techniques for her weapons division. She and a small complement of Public Security Officers captured the uncooperative swordsmith in late fall of 1987.
Enraged at the incarceration of his longtime friend, Balto stormed Scarlet’s camp and defeated her entire escort on his own. Inuzuka was let go, but Balto spent two years in the Public Safety Detention Center in Midgar before the Turks inducted him amongst their ranks as part of a plea bargain for his crimes.
Skills and Interests:
Knowledge of various sword forms and their applications. Many techniques have been adapted and blended to meet his needs. Anything in his hand is a weapon. He does not have an overtly aggressive fighting style, preferring instead to rely on reflex and flexibility for quick counters and disarmament. Measure twice, cut once. Killing blows, if delivered, are quick and decisive since he is not an endurance fighter.
Blade sharpening. Balto collects a wide array of whetstones of various materials. His preferred method for sharpening his weapons are ceramic whetstones meant to be soaked in water.

( davika hoorne | 25 | cis woman | she/her ) oh that? that’s cressida vipointe, silly, from right here in our lovely capitol! last i heard, they’re working as a film director and my, they’re just brilliant at what they do. people around the city say they’re rather fearless, determined and private, and i personally found they remind of me of lights! camera! action!, let's have a toast to the girl almighty, living your own truth no matter what, and blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb when we spoke. what the public doesn’t know is that they’re a part of plutarch heavensbee’s rebellion, but those things can’t be said out loud.
BACKSTORY.
even though your girl will absolutely refuse to talk about it & will only admit it through gritted teeth, cressida comes from a place of serious privilege. her mother used to be a stylist in the capitol who rose through the ranks to first become a stylist for one of the career districts and then rose even further; nowadays she's involved in assigning prep teams and stylists for districts. her father, on the other hand, is a plastic surgeon renowned for tackling even the most challenging transformation wishes and executing them with no flaws.
so, through her family background, cressida had all the makings to lead a comfortable and luxurious life in the capitol. a networking socialite with a side of modelling, acting and perhaps fashion designing could've been her future — that's what most children within her social circles aspired toward.
cressida, however, refused to follow that lifepath, even as a young child. she didn't throw tantrums or other displays of aggression to showcase her opinion of the society around her. she simply said "no thank you <3", turned her back and continued doing whatever interested her in that moment. she showed no interest in any of the typical capitol activities (e.g. body modification, outrageous fashion, cheering for the games) and no amount of begging, threatening or anything worked on changing the young girl's mind. this behaviour was a source of great deal of stress for both of parents who wanted nothing more than to keep up their image as the perfect capitolites.
as a teenager, cressida began to express a keen interest in all things film-making. a complex form of art with many technicalities to consider? an opportunity to tell stories, to give a platform for voices that may otherwise go unheard? sign her up!
coincidentally, this interest was such a relief for her parents too, even if they misunderstood her reasons for getting involved in that field. in their eyes, it was a media-sexy profession that could further cement the vipointes' status as one of the top families in the capitol. as a result, they bought cressida the finest cameras, enrolled her in whatever appropriate course caught her interest, and even introduced her to all the big industry heavyweights. furthermore, they eagerly financed her college-level education when she expressed interest in studying at one of the capitol's finest film schools.
even though cressida knew she should've been thankful for all the opportunities she was provided, most of them left a sour taste in her mouth. she wanted to earn her success through her own merits; she could not, in good conscience, call achievements her own if her parents had bought or otherwise organized them. basically, your girl resented the fact that she's a nepo baby because she wants to be known for her own talent, not her last name.
nevertheless, she utilized what she had been given. she graduated as one of the best in her class and, immediately afterwards, managed to land a film assistant position to a renowned film director. cressida completed whatever task was required of her, further immersed herself in the world of film and media, and honed her craft for four years — right up until the present moment.
present moment has cressida in what is perhaps the most pivotal moment of her career. it's her first year as the film director, as the one in charge of her camera crew (i'm thinking messalla, castor and pollux; could be others too!) and the work they put out. furthermore, their current project involves producing a documentary about the lives of mentors and victors during the games — an inside look for curious capitolites on what the daily lives of these famed figures look like. the success of this project is important for the up-and-coming director's career, but it's a challenge she'll tackle with fearlessness and professionalism she's handled everything else in her career so far.
MISCELLANEOUS HEADCANONS (will be updated).
ON BIRTHDAY. your girl was born on july 20, during the 46th hunger games. yes, she'll be turning 26 soon, but don't mention it to her. she doesn't like celebrating her birthdays and will pretend it's just another normal day.
ON REBELLION. cressida is obviously on the side of the rebellion, though her involvement in the present moment remains somewhat limited. she's playing her part inside the capitol, utilizing her network of contacts and forwarding information to plutarch on who might be a useful ally.
ON FASHION. cressida's style, in its normality, stands out among the capitol's eccentric fashion choices. practicality and comfort are her priorities, not following the latest trends. this has garnered her a small number of followers who actually prefer her style, but she refuses to consider herself any sort of influencer / trendsetter. besides, most of the capitol's elite still sigh at her understated clothing choices.
ON HAIRSTYLE & TATTOO. generally, my cressida's hairstyle and tattoo are similar to what cressida had in the mockingjay movies. the left side of her head is shaved; vine tattoos cover that side of her head, extend down her neck and even further down her arm, right down to her wrist. the major difference is that my cressida's hair is little longer and, instead of blonde, it's black ( like my faceclaim's ).
ON BODY MODIFICATION. the capitol residents are notorious for their body modification procedures. cressida, however, once again hasn't conformed to that societal norm. the only body modification she has is her tattoo; she has no plans to get anything else done.

BACKGROUND
Something had always been a little off about Roman Torchwick— always a little more rough to play, seemingly cruel, and awfully manipulative even as a boy— curious to see the reactions he can get out of someone by pushing them to an emotional extreme; born into a family of mining tycoons, Roman watched his father’s business suffer due to the monopoly that Macro Cosmos had over Galar. After watching the company fall into complete shambles during an economic crash, Roman’s parents went through a bitter divorce when he was 10 years old. Through a series of unfortunate events, his father took his own life, and his mother became practically catatonic. Torchwick Industries was handed off to a group of Galarian oligarchs.
Roman was sent to attend a boarding school in Wyndon, where he became proficient at Pokémon battling, and studied various sciences and business models. During this time, however, his mental health suffered. He became a workaholic, and began to find stress relief in unhealthy ways by pushing his mental limitations instead of exercising self-care. He graduated from the school with impressive grades, but it took a toll on psyche. And though Roman had bright opportunities in front of him, he turned to self-destructive habits to help numb his internal stress. By the time he was 19, he had already gotten his hands dirty with petty theft, public assault charges, and arson.
An incident where he was experimenting with Dynamax crystals and flammable chemicals would result in Roman causing an explosion in one of his academic labs, leaving his arms and torso covered in 3rd degree burns. He was arrested and charged with illegally building explosives, criminal endangerment, and tampering with illegally obtained, hazardous chemicals; upon arrest, several warrants for assault and theft were brought to light as well. Roman would spend 5 years in prison, where he endured a series of unusual, and questionable psychiatric treatments to try and quell his distemper and erratic behavior.
Upon release, he seemed like a model citizen! The treatment had worked, he was reformed, and he even managed to get himself a foot in the door of his family’s old mining company. Many years of hard work and high profits, and Roman Torchwick would eventually sign the papers and buy back Torchwick Industries in its entirety. On the outside, he’s a successful businessman, living a life of success and luxury, albeit appearing judgmental and sly.
But behind closed doors. . . He still enjoys a bit of the ole ultraviolence. Roman finds pure joy and entertainment out of causing harm to those that give him problems— and even those who aren’t particularly causing him issues, but have been deemed irritating. It’s not unusual for insubordinate employees to be “sent overseas for work placement”, only to never be seen again. And while killing off problematic people is something he’s completely fine with— those abused by Torchwick aren’t always guilty.
His current business focus? Improving the Tera Orbs in Paldea. Torchwick Industries has assisted in developing the perfect tool for terastilization, optimizing its energy output and assuring a perfect melding of the crystals with the target Pokémon; cooperative work with Director Clavell and Professors Sada & Turo have made this possible. While he is NOT responsible for the invention of these orbs (that honor goes to the Paldean professors), his company manufactures several different high quality lines of them. Torchwick wishes to better understand the connection between the Kalosian, Galarian and Paldean crystal phenomenas, in the hopes of seeing their full potential— and turning a VERY generous profit.
Roman Torchwick has a strong personal vendetta towards Macro Cosmos and Chairman Rose, and would love to be the one to wipe him AND his company off of the map. He’d very much like to muscle his way further into the Galar Mines.
What is a TOTAL secret to anybody unaffiliated with Team Flare, is that Roman’s alliance and loyalty to Lysandre and Flare played a major part in his ability to buy back his family’s company; by lending his charisma, cunning mind and manipulative ways, bowing his head to the King, and paying the PRICE, he received the funding needed to make those purchases. Roman proved his usefulness, and now, he owes his life to the man who propped him up; Torchwick Industries shares every last bit of their scientific discoveries and resources with Lysandre Labs, and moves massive amounts of minerals to Kalos under the guise of research— but in reality, it is meant to power the Ultimate Weapon, and assist in achieving Lysandre’s vision.
As a part of Team Flare, he handles many of the business affairs on the side, and runs the disciplinary department.
Torchwick believes that the majority of humanity is ugly, and undeserving of the Eden that Lysandre promises to create. He delights in the idea of razing the earth with fire, and eliminating those deemed unworthy.

juIes is a workaholic mechanic who spends most of her time working on fixing the generator for the siIo which supplies all electricity and power to all 144 floors. she lives in an apartment on level 140, which is four floors above the bulk of mechanical. she is an inherent fixer — when there's a problem she can't solve, she turns to something she can fix, such as all the scraps that get sent down for recycling from above floors. she was born to a doctor, pete, and her mother, hanna, in the mids, and had a younger brother, jacob, who died tragically young as the result of a chronic condition (atrial septal defect). this marked the end of a happy family system. after her mother took her own life, juIes left her father and the mids at age fourteen, and took up a life in mechanical, working under walker as an apprentice, thanks to a forged note from her father. up until the events of wool, she never returned to see her father. she aids sheriff hoIston and dep. marnes in the investigation of a murder.

GET THE MAYOR. TELL HER I WANT TO GO OUTSIDE. those are the words that should never be spoken but can't be unspoken. when sheriff hoIston brews his morning coffee and goes to sit in holding three, something is wrong. he speaks with an unwavering understanding, and allows the suit techs to measure every inch and every width without so much as a sound. it's been three years since aIison did the unthinkable. three years since anything made sense. i want to go outside.
four years prior.
we're going to have a baby. (we're going to have a baby. we're going to have a baby!) maybe baby. for the third time, sheriff hoIston and his wife aIison have entered, and won, the baby lottery. 365 DAYS REMAINING! the screen reads, and, with a quick jaunt down to the doctor's office and a snip here and a slice there and a bingo!, out comes the contraceptive implant and the maybe-baby feels a little more real. but there will never be a baby.
three years prior.
i want to go out. iwanttogoout. it's a whisper, so low that it's almost unintelligible beneath the ruckus and commotion beginning to plume around her like a cloud of nosy smoke. it's so low, yet so loud that it holds prying onlookers in a different kind of trance. there's a gasp somewhere in the back, as though the puddle of blood isn't shocking enough. they lied, they're lying, i need to know. there has been no baby, and a deep gouge with a blunt blade has drawn a contraceptive implant from aIison's arm, after months and months of trying to roll a boulder up a hill and being distraught when it comes crashing back down each time. don't say it, don't say it — i want to go outside.
present.
hoIston goes outside to clean. juIiette buries her nose in the inner mechanics of a screaming generator. hoIston tells her that aIison believed that the outside is a lie — that over that hill just there, there's life, and water, and survival. hoIston tells her he'll make it, that he believes her, that he finally understands. hoIston is four steps shy of the hill before he keels over in a lump next to the skeleton of his wife.
mayor jahns and dep. marnes set off from the up top to the deep down. as per hoIston's wishes, they want to get the measure of the girl from mechanical — as per hoIston's wishes, she's to sit with that shiny gold badge and solve common disputes and keep the siIo from bursting at its seams. as per hoIston's wishes, they stumble upon a woman in a greasy-looking tank top, shouting orders and sweating into the belly of the great metal beast that feeds them, clothes them, and warms them every day. and not quite as per hoIston's wishes, they took one look at her and wanted to make the dreaded 144 floor climb and bend to IT's whims of a pre-selected sheriff.
it surprises everyone, juIes most of all, when she accepts the job offer. after some to and fro, bargaining, muttering, unattainable demands which were magically suddenly attainable, the broken, off-kilter mechanical grinding of the generator was given a short reprieve, and, with the help of mayor jahns's power holiday suggestion, almost drowning juIes alive, and her shadow almost slipping down from the top of the generator cage, the spluttering, clunky grrrr of the generator quietened to a harmonious growl. and juIes sealed her fate as sheriff, packed her minimal belongings, and trudged up a hundred and thirty eight floors to her new apartment — hoIston's old apartment — and shook herself free of her own ghosts bellied in the mids.
the job is a thankless one. at least for her, it is. unfamiliar sounds, unfamiliar faces, unfamiliar smells. she discovers the importance of IT, and its lead, bernard, leaves a particularly sour taste in her mouth. he told the mayor and the deputy that she was not fit for the job, not welcome out of the pit of mechanical. he brought up the minor concerns of theft, from stealing a few yards of heat tape when the generator was in need of some. he'd much rather they consider his suggestion for sheriff, pauI biIIings.
jahns sticks to her guns, and on the trudge back up to her office, with the kindling of something new and special with dep. marnes, she falls ill. it's something in the water — poison, slipped into the flask on marnes's back and whipped out by the mayor in the landings between floors. it's a bloody mess. there goes a long-standing mayor, who was pondering the thought of retirement or running yet again.
bernard becomes interim mayor. it's another thankless job. he swears juIes in as sheriff against his own wishes.
as it turns out, juIes and hoIston have met before. he was tasked with investigating the death of a worker in mechanical — a man named george, a secret collector of pre-siIo artefacts. while all the information around the siIo had been destroyed during an uprising (the uprising, if anyone asks), IT has kept tabs on high risk relics of the time before, and has spent as much time as they can trying to keep them buried. george met with aIison three years prior, and through painstaking scrubbing, sweating, and general computer wizardry, found reams upon reams of forgotten information. including a tape of a previous clean. the air looks fresh, green, full of life. the siIo is lying to them. and it cost them both their lives.
juIes takes the job to investigate george's death properly. he would never kill himself, and he'd never let himself fall over the ledge. marnes spends his days sulking, and drinking, and crying, and moping, and telling juIes how ill-fitted she is to the job. they come to an impasse when they decide on a quid pro quo. if he helps her find out what happened to george, she'll find out what happened to jahns.
it doesn't take long for marnes to end up dead too.
in waltzes pauI biIIings as deputy. shiny, so intensely up to date with every intricate line and scripture from the pact (that's law to you and me) that he'd never set foot outside of where he's legally deigned to be, and so intensely just that he squeaks when he walks. and so intensely bernard's pick. he's left a desk job in judicial to wear the shiny badge, and juIes keeps him at an arm's length while she investigates jahns's, marnes's, and george's deaths in hopes that he'll leave her alone.
the investigation eventually yields a hard-drive that hoIston had found, rattling around in his AC vent — the same hard-drive that george and aIison had routed through and downloaded, thinking it would have answers to everything. the hard-drive is encrypted and requires super-user access. all the while, judicial have been circling like vultures, watching her, and everyone else's every move through secret cameras around the siIo.
she needs to return to mechanical, to walker, who may be able to decrypt the hard-drive. judicial do everything to stop this from happening.
bernard traps her in the farms in the mids. he reveals that IT control the siIo, and he killed marnes and jahns to retain his grip. did i hear you say you want to go outside, sheriff nichoIs? it runs fear cold in her veins, and before she can do anything, she's cuffed and escorted to the stairs by the head of judicial, sims.
juIes throws herself off the balcony, with the hard-drive in tow. through favours, she manages to transmit the signal from the hard-drive to another apartment, and heads for sims's home. she breaks in, cuffs his wife to the kitchen cupboard, and uses his computer to decrypt the hard-drive.
she evades capture once again, and finds more help from old friends. danny, an IT worker who once shadowed in mechanical, manages to play a video from george, and then they discover the cleaning video. danny transmits the video across all screens in the silo.
heading down to mechanical via the recycling chutes, juIes escapes from judicial again, as they hurl heavy electronics down the chute. but she makes it to walker's workshop. bernard meets her there.
he offers her options: to go outside freely, and he will tell her what happened to george, or she will go outside anyway, but he'll punish all her friends in mechanical. juIes agrees to go willingly, and bernard shows her a video of george throwing himself off a balcony after being hunted by judicial for the hard-drive.
no fear. now is for laughing. the truth is a joke and they're good in supply.
juIes is manhandled into the cleaning suit. the view from outside is the same as the tape — luscious and green. full of wildlife. she turns to the siIo one last time and decides against cleaning. she's four steps away from the top of the hill when bernard realises something is wrong. this is the part where people start to falter — their breath gets short, they stumble, they kick and they stagger, and they collapse into a heap before the crest of dead grass. juIes's visor stutters, and the outside is exactly as they imagined: dead.
but she walks. and she walks. and soon enough, while bernard runs to IT with his heart pounding in his head, she disappears over the hill.
post-cleaning
i'll add when i have brain but basically juIes finds another siIo, and discovers there are more. this one's mostly barren but she meets a sole survivor, who calls himself soIo, in a half-flooded siIo.

Bio:
Nathan was born the third son of a modest family in Boston, with all three following in their father's footsteps as shipbuilders. His two brothers enlisted at the onset of the Revolutionary War: the oldest, Alexander, was killed in the line of fire and was buried in their churchyard in Boston. the middle son, Richard, survived him, though would have a limp the rest of his life: he took over bookkeeping and finances from his father, and stood to inherit everything. Nathan, the only boy who had not been old enough to enlist during the war, was desperate for action and adventure, but with the disbandment of the navy his hopes were temporarily put to rest. not one to be discouraged –– and not eager to spend the rest of his life building ships for his older brother –– Nathan put to sea as a carpenter's mate on the Dolphin. ostensibly it was a fishing vessel, but there was far more money to be made in smuggling. now that the navy had disbanded, the waters were rich and open for the taking.
After a run-in with port authorities, the Dolphin ran north-east hoping to make it to Portsmouth, but a storm blew her of course and she was wrecked on the coastal islands of Maine. Nathan survived, and made his way to Collinsport, where he jumped ship to one of the Collins family's own fleet. He was able to secure a decent position as a mate after fudging a few details and proving his knowledge of ships and the sea (very few remained to contradict him). Aboard the Starling, Nathan would meet soon-to-be-friend (and heir to the Collins name and fortune), Barnabas Collins. The ship traveled to the West and East Indies, where Nathan would meet his future wife, Suki Welles, the daughter of an East India Company merchant. Suki promised him the wealth and lands of an EIC merchant heiress, and Nathan promised her the honor, love, and stability of an American sailor. neither delivered on their promises. Nathan separated from her without a formal divorce, sending her a small bit of his pay but without much friendly contact.
In 1792, with the good word of the Collins family behind him, Nathan joined the newly-formed Revenue-Marine as an officer on the Scammel based out of Collinsport. On the Scammel, he traveled along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire to intercept smugglers and enforce tariffs and customs: Nathan quickly learned it was easier, and more profitable, to maneuver his way into remaining ashore more often than not by using his knowledge of local smuggling operations and snitching on a few old friends. his superiors were impressed with his rapid success and his dashing air, and Nathan was promoted to lieutenant. when the Navy was reformed in 1794 and six new frigates contracted, Barnabas helped him secure a valuable position as second lieutenant aboard the USS Constitution. while the Collinsport shipyard constructed the frigate, Nathan remained in town, seducing all the local women to be had including the eligible Collins heiress, Millicent, who laid claim to fortune and vast New York real estate. and she was pretty enough.
Nathan had set his sights on his next wife, but Suki's arrival spoiled his well-made plans entirely. Nathan presented her as his sister to disguise their connection, but the secret wasn't to last: Suki was murdered upon finding out Barnabas's vampiric secret, and Millicent, going through the deceased's belongings, discovered their marriage license. she was incensed, and not only called off their engagement, but demanded Nathan be killed in a duel. Nathan was able to avoid another untimely death by aligning himself with the local religious fanatic, Reverend Trask, and worming his way back into the Collins' family favor with a combination of lies, blackmail, and shenanigans, until Millicent at last, heartily (and her cousin Joshua, reluctantly) agreed to take Nathan as her husband.
But this marriage, too, was not to end happily. Millicent, in effort to prove how much Nathan loved her for herself and not her fortune, had bequeathed all inheritance to her brother, Daniel. Nathan, naturally, only wanted her for her fortune. in retaliation, he pushed his new wife to insanity and secured guardianship of her younger brother, Daniel. the attempt to order Daniel's murder failed, but only barely, and Nathan was not long to survive the mess he'd made.

On the surface, Kiyoharu has a very sweet && sociable nature. She's oftentimes very upbeat, cheerful && quite bubbly, && genuinely cares for her companions && those around her, Especially Kosame Amagai, a close companion of hers which she cares for deeply to the point where Kiyoharu will defend her from Rina Shioi's pessimistic nicknames. Kiyoharu is also shown to be a huge fan of Dog's Play && gets very ecstatic when meeting Nijimi Anazawa for the first time.
Kiyoharu is also one of the most cunning && devious of the Magical Girls, casually using her Stick's power to listen to the thoughts of others without their knowledge for her benefit. She can also read the minds of others, though this is most commonly used to instantaneously communicate with any number of other magical girls regardless of their location or to confirm whether or not someone is still alive.
Teddy Bear — Later, when Kaname Asagiri failed to stop the King due to his Negative Energy no longer being a "Man's", Kiyoharu took up the Teddy Bear Stick && attacked the King with its Laser Beams using her own Negative Energy to power the Teddy Bear's lasers to attack the King.
Sports Cap — The Breathing Bubble was given to her by Kosame Amagai when she began to lose consciousness due to the lack of oxygen in the upper atmosphere of the planet, The Sports Cap Stick gives her the ability to create an oxygen bubble around her head, allowing her to breath in such locations devoid of air.
