as islesbury gets ready to descend into halloween celebrations, residents begin to ponder: what will i wear for the occasion ? can i be bothered to be unique, or should i just go as a ghost ? as the day creeps nearer, there are so many options, and so little time !

and so, here is our fourth task, which is in preparation for our HALLOWEEN EVENT that will be coming up shortly ! please know that this task is OPTIONAL, but we highly encourage you to take part ! for more info, read below  !

ABOUT HALLOWS EVE  :    a task for members to delve into their characters and come up with costume ideas for their muse, all in the name of spooky season fun !

HOW  TO  PREPARE THE TASK  :

create something that describes the aesthetic of your muses costume. this is up to your own creative interpretation. your muses’ costume could be a moodboard, a social media post, or a written descriptive piece. this task is your oyster !

details about the future halloween event will be posted in due course, but know this: it will be outside, and comfortable footwear is advisable !

what is the timeframe for the task completion ?

there is no timeframe, but preferably, if your muse is getting involved in the event, having the task finished prior will help you, alongside other members, explore and understand the chosen costume.

when will the event be announced  ?

the event for halloween will be posted on FRIDAY, 22nd OF OCTOBER, time is to be established.

if i do not get involved with the task, can i still participate in the event  ?

introduction: hello all! I’m McKala, some of y’all may remember me as Sybill from Allure previously. I’ll be returning with my child Sybill ofc. uhhhhh let’s see here, I’m 19 years old, am from a tiny town in North Carolina, and after graduating from an early college high school I went to the University of Kansas to study polisci & international studies w/ a concentration in East Asia and a double language focus in Korean and Mandarin & secondary education [I used to be an overachiever now I just kinda exist], until I couldn’t afford it anymore SO y’all should talk to me about KU anytime bc I’m a heaux for Lawrence, KS. My plan was to teach English in China or Korea for a few years to gain some actual insight into one of the two societies before I went for a State Department or preferably UN job, I wanted to work in international relations. I’m an aspiring polyglot and right now I’m spending the time not spent working full time, RPing studying Spanish, Korean, Norwegian, and French (so if you have any good links to langblrs hmu) mostly for fun rn but also bc I’m p recently unsure of my career path after I save up enough money to finish my Bachelors’ degree so why not distract myself with languages lmao. One of my favorite characters I’ve ever played and continue to play is a character of mine in the nextgen rp I’m in. His morals are questionable at best but he always stands up for the little guy, he refuses to tolerate injustice and inequality, he’s a loud mental health advocate, loves his boyfriend and sister and friends with everything he has, and he’s aware of his flaws and tries so hard work on them. Katrina Kaif For the promotion of her upcoming film Jagga Jasoos, Katrina Kaif picked up a casual floral dress with a ruffle detail on the high-low hem from Parker.

She styled it with metallic gold sneakers from Alberto Torresi and gold earrings. With hair in soft curls, she rounded off her look with her signature make-up of a dewy sheen and pink lips. We personally feel that the sneakers did not go well with the outfit. Strappy sandals or heels would have worked better here.

Sonam Kapoor After spilling magic at Paris Fashion Week with her fashionable appearances, looks like Sonam Kapoor is ready to create some more magic back home.

The actress started her glamorous trail right at the airport in floral separates from Anamika Khanna. The crop top with the matching jacket and wide-legged pants is something we need as this look is the epitome of comfy and cool.

Huma Qureshi Huma Qureshi is on her heels (metallic ones!) these days to promote her upcoming film Partition 1947 and she is doing it in style. At an event, the actress was seen in tropical print separates from Madison.

We love the ruffle detail on the off-shoulder top and the matching culottes. We would have preferred if it was cinched at the waist with a belt. Nevertheless, she looked good.

Sridevi Continuing her promotional spree for her upcoming film MOM, Sridevi stepped out looking pretty in an Anamika Khanna outfit. We love the floral embroidered crop top which she styled with an ivory organza cape and draped pants.

The gold choker added a nice touch to her look. If you are looking for ethnic wear inspiration then this is something you can easily wear to a cocktail party. If you are going for the same colour tone then a bright lip shade will also work here.

Kajol The actress was seen exiting the airport in a blue floral, gingham shirt dress from Zara which she paired with white loafers, white cat-eye sunglasses and a tan bag.

We are not a fan of the styling but you can always amp it up in your own way. Also, we feel a pair of powder blue heels would have looked better with this dress.

Parineeti Chopra At an event, Parineeti Chopra stepped out looking pretty in a floral print pleated dress from H&M. We don’t know if it was needed but she layered it with a denim jacket from Madison.
